@Carolba good luck for this month. I'm 38 and trying for number 2. My DD was born a month before I turned 36, and I'll be 39 in December so I'm aware that age may be a factor for me, especially as I had a mc in January. Although I was told when I had my transvaginal scan they couldn't see why it happened as everything looks healthy and as it should be, so who know.

Hopefully I will ov this month, this will be cycle 6 for me x

Carolba · 31/08/2019 12:36

Aww @Tamalama so sorry about your MC it must be devastating. Fingers crossed for you this cycle. What CD are you on? I turn 42 in December! We've spoken about trying for a baby for the last 8 years but somehow the years went by far too quick and woke up one morning and thought jeez we had better start getting on with this ..... I still have hope but praying we haven't left it too late x

Firstimer703 · 31/08/2019 14:15

@Tamalama sorry to hear about your mc. Fingers crossed for good news soon x

Firstimer703 · 31/08/2019 14:16

Is anyone else's DH complaining about the amount of times they have to have sex? I was not expecting that part to be a problem lol 😂

rosina38 · 31/08/2019 14:42

Hi, can I join? I'm due I think around 15 September

Hope everyone is doing well this month

ForGoodnessCake · 31/08/2019 17:58

I think if I mention FW or that he gets funny, so I just jump him every time he comes close haha.
I'm just so excited to be trying for #4 I have been really been wanting this for so long.
I don't want to be consumed with all the politics of ttc and hope it just happens.

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 21:54

@mrssunshinexxx whoo hoo fingers crossed for a static tomorrow 😁😁😁

mrslaurenbrown · 01/09/2019 08:50

Sorry I know I'm not very active on this thread because the whole thing is getting me down. I feel like my body is playing tricks on me. We tried really hard on SMEP this month only missing one day then picked it straight back up again. I'm only on CD22 and yesterday started having light af cramps. There was a small amount of watery blood on wiping so I put a sanitary towel in before bed. This would have meant I ovulated on CD8 when SMEP starts (normally I have 32 day cycles average) I woke up this morning to literally a gush of bright red blood in the pad. Seriously can't win.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/09/2019 08:55

@mrslaurenbrown so you use opks so you actually know when you ovulated ? Xx

OP posts:
mrslaurenbrown · 01/09/2019 09:03

@mrssunshinexxx I used them from cd10 as that's what's suggested in SMEP. Never got a positive but thought I might have missed it or be ovulating late. I'm just basing it on ovulating approx 2 weeks before af.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/09/2019 09:09

@mrslaurenbrown sounds like you could of ovulated early next month can you trac from cd 7/8 perhaps to cover all bases ?

OP posts:
Firstimer703 · 01/09/2019 09:38

@mrslaurenbrown sorry to hear it's getting you down. Hope you have good news soon xx

Tamalama · 01/09/2019 09:47

@mrssunshinexxx @Sophieb15

Lol, I got my flashing smiley this morning too!! I had a feeling things were happening because I started getting cramps and backache yesterday afternoon and vaginal twinges and I've got the same this morning. Hubby goes abroad early Friday morning so I think the plan is to dtd today, Monday and Tuesday. I'm out Wednesday night so I think a break would probably be good anyway! Then one final time on Thursday. I'm just hoping the flashing smiley doesn't last too long so I get my positive opk tomorrow or Tuesday!

Only problem is I've now run out of test sticks so I'm guessing I will have to buy another pack which I'll now have to buy in a shop and will be expensive 🙄 x

Tamalama · 01/09/2019 09:50

@Firstimer703 thank you. Yes it was devastating ☹️

@Carolba I'm CD15 and got my flashing smiley face this morning.

mrssunshinexxx · 01/09/2019 10:12

@Tamalama yay we are in sync when is af due for you ? Or predicted ? Flow is saying 18th Sep for me.
Hmm could you not just save money and dtd plan like you have said if dh goes away Friday you can't do anymore than that and atleast today you know you have high peak it's only going towards ovulation... xxx

OP posts:
Tamalama · 01/09/2019 10:53

@mrssunshinexxx Yes you're right, there isn't much point because I'm on a time limit anyway with DH going away on Friday. Af is predicted for 13th September...

Tamalama · 01/09/2019 10:56

@mrssunshinexxx I think I'll just buy a box of Home Bargains cheapies which will take me through until Thursday anyway. I used them last month alongside clearblue and when I got my static smiley the lines were also v dark on the cheapies, which I guess means they work! 😂

mrslaurenbrown · 01/09/2019 11:07

@mrssunshinexxx yes I think I'm going to test throughout the whole cycle now as they are so irregular this is the shortest I've had at 22 days but I've had up to 45 before!

@Firstimer703 thank you for your support hun xx this cycle just going to dtd every other day rather than every other day from cd8 as SMEP suggests

theotherfossilsister · 01/09/2019 11:56

@sophieb15 I remember you too. It is nice to have people who I've gone through this before with, although that sounds selfish I know, and of course I want you to all have bfps. Wouldn't it be fantastic if we all ended up on the June baby thread together? Dreaming hurts me though, every month, so maybe I shouldn't.

AF came yesterday, really heavy this time, but hopefully it will be over soon. I got some organic pads this month, in case the chemicals in normal ones have any effect.

Am I an idiot to still hold out souch hope on cycle eight?

mrssunshinexxx · 01/09/2019 12:25

@theotherfossilsister you aren't an idiot and you aren't wrong for dreaming I'm dreaming too xx
@Tamalama wonder why our predicted af so different ?
Dh nowleaving for work this evening but going to be back tomorrow night but probably late so going to try dtd this aft before he goes then tues morn or tues eve x

OP posts:
Tamalama · 01/09/2019 12:41

@mrssunshinexxx I think it's because my af started a few days before yours and that's what it's based on? Good luck for dtd!!
