Sophieb15 · 30/08/2019 14:22

I'm always on lurking just not posting as much to try not think about TTC this month. But by all means if anyone wants to ask me anything I will reply back Smile I won't be on from 9th Sept- 18th though going to actually log out while i'm on my holidays altogether Smile I hope I come back to see some BFP's xxxx

MrsD0147 · 30/08/2019 15:19

Have a lovely holiday @Sophieb15 I said i was going to be less active this month but curiosity has got the better of me again lol!

Rad512 · 30/08/2019 20:54

Jumping on the bus as af came on weds.

Age 34
TTC #2
Cycle 2
CD3

I'm normally 28/29 day cycles but last month af didn't come until cd35 so was poas constantly 😂 it was driving me mad not knowing and thought I might have been lucky and got bfp on cycle 1 but no such luck. Going to try ovulation sticks this month as seemed to help the first time around!

Cat028 · 30/08/2019 23:57

@Sophieb15 thanks! Hoping a for lucky cycle and BFPs all round.

@mrssunshinexxx I have been using OPKs but have never really had a clear positive that I could tell. So I have caved and got myself a thermometer so trying temping this month. I have a doctors appointment in a week too to discuss possible issues with fertility and because any pre conception vitamins give me awful migraines.

Tamalama · 31/08/2019 08:45

So I've had yet another low O reading , had them all week 😕 I've now read online that you should use a new test holder for each cycle, so I'm guessing that perhaps I need to buy a whole new kit this month otherwise the reading from using last months test holder might not be accurate?! If so, that's pretty expensive 🙈

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:07

@Tamalama I have had a low again today too was expecting High by now. I really DONT want to have to buy another Holder I had 7 sticks left from the last lot.. what a rip off if true?!

OP posts:
Sophieb15 · 31/08/2019 09:09

@Tamalama @mrssunshinexxx your supposed to use the same holder as it stores the information from the month before what cd are you both on? X

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:11

@Sophieb15 @Tamalama phew glad you said that dh wasn't happy about me buying the first lot Grin
I am cd 11 and ovulated on cd 13 last month x

OP posts:
Tamalama · 31/08/2019 09:14

@mrssunshinexxx It really sucks doesn't it? What CD are you? I'm CD 14... I've got some cramping but not too much so who knows if it's on it way. Cheapest I've seen for a new kit is on Amazon. For 10 sticks and tester the earliest they can deliver is next Wednesday! Otherwise I can get the pack with 20 sticks and holder which they can deliver tomorrow, but that pack is DOUBLE the price! There's no point waiting until Wednesday because the likelihood is the ov surge will have been and gone by then, and I can't justify spending almost £30 to get more tests than I need just to get them tomorrow 😕 think I'll just have to use Home Bargains cheapies this month... 🤔

Sophieb15 · 31/08/2019 09:16

@mrssunshinexxx cd 13 is early to O and u don't O the same every month so it could be later this month. I had one month where I only had one flashing smiling and then my static and it is possible also to just get your static and no flashing. So don't be worried 😁😁😁😁

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:17

@Tamalama I'm cd 11 but ovulated on cd 13 last month and was hoping it was gunna be similar due to dh work. Keep using the holder like Sophie said below you should keep using it as it stores the info maybe we just need to be patient x

OP posts:
mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:18

@Sophieb15 yeah last month it was low Monday, flashing tues, static wed
Jus don't want dh to go back to work on tues and miss it x

Sophieb15 · 31/08/2019 09:18

@Tamalama you can O late too just keep going with the CB with FMU. I didn't o till cd18 2 months ago xx

Sophieb15 · 31/08/2019 09:20

@mrssunshinexxx just DTD every day until he goes back and you will be covered and try not stress that can delay O too 😘

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:21

No chance of that he's feelin the pressure he said :( dunno how to get round that really @Sophieb15 x

OP posts:
Tamalama · 31/08/2019 09:23

@mrssunshinexxx @Sophieb15

I didn't ov until cd 15 last month. I went from low to static smiley within a day and completely bypassed flashing smiley. I'm just a bit concerned as I've had quite a bit of cm the last few days, and now there's practically nothing, and all my tests this week have been low 😕 I also only have one clearblue stick left too 🙈 I'm thinking maybe I'll just use cheapies twice a day and when (if!) it gets darker I'll use my last clearblue stick...

Tamalama · 31/08/2019 09:27

@mrssunshinexxx @Sophieb15 I'll be honest, I never tell DH when I'm in my fertile period and when I ov. I think he works it out because his luck is always in! 😂

I've had quite a few vaginal twinges this morning and lower abdominal cramps and a few ovary twinges but who knows 🤷‍♀️ xx

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 09:35

@Tamalama I wish I could do that but it's all down to his work I have to let him know or he would just be offshore every month xx

OP posts:
Tamalama · 31/08/2019 09:42

@mrssunshinexxx Ahh yes that's true 😕 I didn't realise he planned his visits back around your fertile and ov window. X

Carolba · 31/08/2019 10:21

Hi guys ..... can I jump on the thread? I'm on CD11, this is our 4 month of TTC. I ovulated on this day last month so we started DTD of CS6 but so far no O peak. OH is going to be shattered if I don't O until late this month, but I am determined this month to give it the very best chance Smile.

I'm 41 and have 2 DS (23 and 18) but my OH does not have any of his own and we desperately want one (or two, but that really might be pushing our luck so we would be totally blessed just to have one of our own) I feel time is against me now. I caught quickly with my first 2 when I was young but now feel me and the OH have left it too late - but fingers and toes crossed this will be our month - and everyone else's on this thread SmileSmile x

mrssunshinexxx · 31/08/2019 10:58

Aw good luck @Carolba I have my fingers crossed for all of us I have a good feeling about this month x

Carolba · 31/08/2019 11:47

Thank you @mrssunshinexxx yes I have a feeling this could be a lucky thread for all of us x

ForGoodnessCake · 31/08/2019 11:49

Oh I can't cope with opks I'm bad enough for poas. I'm trying my hardest just to chill, I'm not due fw until next week, I told OH we will DD x 2 everyday, he nearly fainted hahaha not the spring chickens we used to be.
Hey to new passangers wishing you all luck - I just bought maternity tights 🤣

Carolba · 31/08/2019 12:06

@ForGoodnessCake twice a day every day? Shock wow that would be good going! We've DTD every 2nd day since CD6 and now it will be every day until I get my peak and then 3 days after! I don't want to risk missing my peak so trying to cover all bases Grin ..... I think I'm addicted to POAS ... currently I'm doing it 3 times a day! x
