Fresh off the mini pill today-hoping for BFP Oct/Nov 2019 for a Summer 2020 Baby. NEED A BUDDY?

Off the mini pill (Noriday) today looking for a BFP ideally Oct/Nov 2019 for a Summer 2020 baby - so during the holidays when other kids are on Hols so i don't have to worry about the school run as will most likely have a CS

We will be using condoms but i know anything is possible from when I am off the pill

Some people get a positive test from 8 days! Or even 9! Not sure how often that happens though @wannabemum38
When I had my daughter I didn't think I was pregnant at all, so there was no long wait for me, I just felt a few symptoms on the day my AF was due so randomly did a test and it came up positive straight away.
Was sooooo nice not to have a long wait! I can imagine this month will go by very slowly!

@HappyGirl86 the opk is positive now the lines are as dark as each other and the Premom app has ranked it as my peak. OH is hopefully coming tonight so we can dtd! Who said romance is dead haha!

Maybe it's ovulation pains I've been feeling god knows!

@wannabemum38 I tested at 8dpo on a Sainsbury's homebrand and that was positive also cb came back 1-2 weeks but I've heard it can also take over a week after your due before a test might pick the hcg up!

@Destiny25 @HappyGirl86 yes I have seen a few ladies on here tested positive with FRER test at 6,7 and 8 DPO so will see how long I can hold out for! Would quite like to know either way before trip so I can relax and know if I need to pack tampons etc

Oh I know @Destiny25 haha! I said to DH we needed to do it again today and I could see he couldn't really be bothered! Haha!
But now I'm in my fertile window I didn't want to miss any chances.

Iv been reading that your doing ovulation test and was wondering for some advice, as I have irregular periods and obviously just come off the pill and still not had an AF would it be worth my getting some to try? I have been having white CM (TMI sorry) and read that can be an indication as to near ovulation ( if I am right, all this information can be quite overwhelming)

Hi @dancingqueen03 this is my first time using them. I didn't use them last pregnancy. So far they aren't telling me much but this is my first month off the pill having had a proper period so we shall see.
When I first came off my pill I was waiting for my period/withdrawal bleed and I had some of the mucusy discharge. I was excited thinking I was ovulating but I didn't have my tests at that point. We did DTD but nothing happened because I then did get a period.
It took me 3 weeks to get a period. How long have you been off the pill?

It's coming up to 4 week off the pill (21 July) but on the 23 July I had blood when I wiped and then 31,1&2 I had spotting. Could that have been my withdrawal bleed?

Hey ladies! I finished the mini pill on 02/08 and still waiting for my withdrawal bleed. I'm sure it happened sooner previous times?

@dancingqueen03 it could have been! It's frustrating when you don't know what's happening. It was driving me mad.

@PieAndPumpkins hi! Last time I came off the mini pill I got a period much quicker I think. This time it was nearly 4 weeks before I got a period. I was starting to get a bit stressed with it!

@PieAndPumpkins I came off mini pill in June and it took 33 days
last time i had a break off it, it only took 28 days. Some it can take a couple of weeks I was also told months but dont worry too much cos worry and stress can delay it all!

When I was on the pill I used the Flo app and my cycles were all over the place. When I stopped the pill I added the Clue app and had regular 28 day cycles. Since TTC I've transferred my details to Ovia ...

My question is ...
Flo says my fertile window is 15th - 22nd with ovulation on the 20th.
Clue says my fertile window is 17th - 23rd with ovulation on the 22nd.
Ovia says my fertile window is 20th - 25th with ovulation on the 23rd.

Why so many different windows!? I'll be using OPK's but it's difficult to tell which app I should rely on. Does anyone have any advice?

@Happygirl86 @wannabemum38 thank you for the reassurance! It's just the unknown and the waiting more than anything. I've been in agony when coming off contraception previously, so I'm just constantly expecting and waiting for the pain!
Will this your first babies? This will be my #4 and last. So excited!

@PieAndPumpkins My first well actually would be second pregnancy once I fall I had a MC at 9 weeks many many years ago.

Your 4th?! Wow!!! Credit to you mama......I don't think I could cope with more than 2! Haha! How old are your children?
I had an emergency c section last time so will opt for a planned one if I can get pregnant, and I'd not fancy having more than 2 sections anyway, although I know some women do.

Oh dear @Blossomingflower94 that's confusing! I didn't think the apps would be any different.....hmmmm
I didn't really use the apps much when I had my daughter so can't talk from experience but a couple of friends have recommended ovia and it gets good recommendations on mumsnet so it must be reliable?!
Arghhh I don't know. I guess maybe try not to get too caught up in it....my mum always says she never had any of these fancy apps when she had me and many people still got pregnant easily. I guess that's true.
If you are DTD regularly around those times I think you will be ok, and if you are using the ovulation sticks then that will help too. Although I still haven't had a positive on them yet and I'm in my fertile window according to ovia!

@Blossomingflower94 I'm the same, Flo says AF due 1st sept as my opk was high 2 days ago but premom says AF due 30th, not very helpful when your ttc,
I am defo out this month only dtd start of the week so unless it's a super strong one it's not happening 😂.

Girls should I be getting worried I haven't had a positive ovulation stick yet?!

@Blossomingflower94 Hi, I'm not sure why all the apps would be different?? I'm only using ovia and did last time too. I actually just found my old logs from using ovia last time (3years ago) and its seems to have been fairly accurate. So weird reading it back now!
I think using opks will help pinpoint but tbh, supposedly sperm can survive 4 days or so so dtd every other day roughly might be enough??
@PieAndPumpkins this will be my 2nd baby 🤞🤞 and 3rd pregnancy. Was super lucky to catch quickly so I'm really hopeful this time. Your 4th! Wowee! How do you find having more than one? I'm a little worried going from 1 to 2, I'm worried for my wee girl and for me!!! 😂

@HappyGirl86 dont be worried, I'm sure these things can go from -ve to +ve in an afternoon!! Are you still dtd every other day or so? If so I think you're good!!

Since having my coil removed on Monday, I started bleeding on Wed (lightly but with clots) same on Thurs and today just brown stringy when I wipe (sorry tmi) wee bit cramps but not bad. Do you all think this is my withdrawal bleed or do you think I should count Wed as cd1?? You can get pregnant after coil removal straight away without a period so I'm wondering if this could just be counted as a light period. We arnt ttc this month anyway but I'd like to track so I know for next month xx

@HappyGirl86 its all so confusing. We are DTD every other day from day 8 to be safe. Just going to use the OPK's and then see which one was the most accurate next month (or hopefully not if we're really lucky!)

@MrsSkr @Blossomingflower94 yes we are still doing it every other day since day 8. I just get paranoid I'm not ovulating at all but then I don't have any reason to think I'm not. I did have some egg white type mucus the last couple of days.

@MrsSkr I'd just count it as CD1 and see how it goes, if it turns out to be just a withdrawal bleed you always start logging again.

@happygirl86 - might just be faulty OPK's i'm sure you're still ovulating. Its just so nerve-wracking!

So here I am again...thursday beforw we left i had thick creamy mucus (sorry him) usually that changea to the egf white stuff after a day or 2...anyway last night I tested and negative...i have teated today but cant see any mucus..i have spent a lot if timw in the pool the last couple of days..could thia affect anything?

Ovia says ovulation is due today...i dont normally feel ovulation the way some ppl can so i really am none the wiser...be goid to come off the pill/hormones to track things properly or could it be faulty opks? I am kinda despairing as i usually have the egg whitw stuff
