Off the mini pill (Noriday) today looking for a BFP ideally Oct/Nov 2019 for a Summer 2020 baby - so during the holidays when other kids are on Hols so i don't have to worry about the school run as will most likely have a CS

We will be using condoms but i know anything is possible from when I am off the pill

@Doubl whoopp yeah jump right on in, the more the merrier! Do you use an app to track ovulation and stuff? if so, your app should calculate your fertile window for you depending on how long your cycles are etc....mine app Ovia (recommended by some ladies on here) I find is great. So mine said my fertile window started CD9 - CD14 (today)

and I got a positive Ovulation test yesterday but a negative one today so looks like I ovulated on CD13 this cycle.... should help me better plan for when we TTC next month

Just waiting for my period now and then we can start properly.

I am researching foods high in Selenium as they increade men's fertility and sperm quality or something - so i will be feeding my DH that from now until i get my BFP - i need to find a way to get him super fertile swimmer

@dancingqueen03 at 10/11 dpo you might be lucky! Some people do but as said, not everyone, that doesnt mean it's a no though. It really depends, if its negative don't be disheartened, it may change!

@Doubl we look to be at the same stage, I'm also ttc #2, also cd7 today although I'm still bleeding veeeery slightly. This is my first proper period since coming off bc. Still going to start opks tomorrow though, just for the fun of it lol.

@Luxoire ohh I didnt know this about selenium, I'll get researching this too. I'm going to start pineapple as off tomorrow, up until ovulation to get my uterus juice and juicy, ready to sook in a wee egg 🤣🤣

I'm babysitting my friends baby today, and alongside my 2 year old I am starting to worry how I'll cope, I'm bloody knackered!! 🤣🤣

Yeah babysitring will get u ready for 2..lol give u a taste although somehow I think us women just get on with it. I was listening to radio 5 live this PM and they were talking about how this generation is making men more emotionally engaged in parenting..not just the financial bread winner of the family .. And i can see where they are coming from...but honestly women do the pregnancy for 10months (40 weeks) birthing and maternity leave and so naturally have more of a connection. It's good that men become more involved but I dont know if it will ever be 50/50?

Hi @Doubl how long is your cycle?
I'm Cd8 and started doing opks yesterday, having ov pains today which seems far too early maybe it's just back end off AF!
This is my opk from just now so not too sure.

@Destiny25 hi hun ur right that too early for ovulation and I learned earlier thia week... AN OPK TEST IS ONLY POSIYIVE WHEN THE TEST LINE IS AS DARK AS OR DARKER THAN THE CONTROL LINE. so I'm afraid that's a negative test hun...although i never get any colour at all in my cycle on the teat line when I use opks...so when I start getting aome kind of line i feel like ovulation is not far and maybe the hormones are building up to peak just before ovulation....good luck! Are u trying thia cycle? If so then you probably have less than a week before you enter your fertile window ....ekkkkk Xxx

@Luxoire I'm not obsessively trying this month just trying to get my cycles back on track but still trying it that makes sense 🤦🏻‍♀️
My last one was 41days, but I'm homing this cycle will be back to 28! I seem to sync with the lass I work opposite so I'm hoping that happens again 😂.

@MrsSkr hi! Ooh will be nice to compare symptoms/obsess over everything basically with people at the same stage 😁 I began on the opks today haha completely negative as expected!

Hi @Destiny25! My cycle tends to be bang on 28 days but that OPK looks promising! I did one this afternoon and it was completely negative on the test line!

@Destiny25 out i hope it syncs and back to 28 days for u this time...yeah we are TTC next month and Nov and hoping to catch..so going to attempt to dtd every day or every other day in my fertile period and hope for the best lol....sometime not really tryong but knowing where u are means u are relaxed enough to catch!

@Doubl I've read some places it's only positive when it's same as the control line and it's doesn't matter if you get a faint line. But then the Premom app gives you a reading of whether it's low or high or peak 🤦🏻‍♀️ so you just don't know what's what!
Do you know what day you usually ovulate?

@Destiny25 The app I use is the same! I assumed some form of faint line meant some hormones but I'm probably crossing all that with pregnancy tests! It's all so much to work out 🙄
I always guessed around Day 14 as that's usually when symptoms appear but I want the opks to properly pinpoint it for me! What about you?

Cd9 dtd last night as wont see oh till Sunday now. I'm hoping I'll ovulate CD 14 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm not hopeful for this month just as oh is all over with work so unpredictable!
Not long before you can start trying tho!

@Luxoire Hi, all fine here. AF finally buggered off... so cd8 here and starting opks. Dont one this morning and it was fairly faint. My predicted fertile week isnt for another whole week yet but not had long to track so might be wrong, going to opk twice a day from today and see what happens. Also informed dh we've to start dtd eod from tonight or tomorrow....the thought if it makes me exhausted!! xx

Iv been so busy these past few days got a new job which I start on Monday and then I'm testing this weekend🙈🤞 trying to wait as long as I can.. but it's getting hard haha 😂

Iv not been experiencing many symptoms except Iv had a bit of backache yesterday and today it's like an overall ache along with I can smell everything, it's weird🤔 I'm trying to ignore other odd twitches and aches as I don't want to symptom spot and get upset if it's a BFN 😓

So....I do realise I'm not ovulating yet and it is likely to be much too early, I'm just curious.....

I took an opk this morning around 11am and was barely visible.

These 2 photos are the same test taken just now...my question is timing. The pack says can take up to 10mins. The first pic was after that 10 mins. The second I took when I got out the shower so probably about 20 mins or so? It got darker in that time but would you discard that and go with the 10 min one?

@Destiny25 awww well sometimes being relaxed is best isnt it - if it happens fine if not atleast you guys can time it better for next month and we can start together!!
Yeah not long for me and the nearer it draws near - the realisation of 3 KIDS is a bit daunting lol

@MrsSkr ohh i am glad you are begining to try - i know when you have a life it can be so tiring dtd lol hahahhaha i have to make an effort to remember these so OH does not feel used when i am enthusuiastic later for a BFP lol
Yeah i would say discard the 20mins one and go with the 10mins - cos isnt there like a time window for the hormone to optimise with the test kit - anything out of that time window is not valid....keep testing with lots of luck and baby dust you will catch on this month!

@dancingqueen03 how is the new job going? all good? at least it is keeping you busy...i just tend to tell myself that if i miss the first mroing urine then i have to wait till the next day - that keeps me going from day to day! you're doingb great though and holding out...it is almost thursday now so 1 more full day to go to Saturday!

@Kiki275 welcome on board...what is DDT? is is it sex? well if it is, hopefully you can catch first time round so you dont have to do it often?! lol

@MrsSkr how far in your cycle are you?
I think on opks the colour takes a while to run through it that makes sense. That's why it says up to 10 mins.
This is mine from today. No idea when I'll be ovulating but just testing daily.

Thank you @Luxoire, I disregarded the 20min one and recorded the 10 min one on premom. Dtd is a thought....we dont do it nearly as often as we used to or probably should but after 12 years, a kid and 3 jobs between us, its exhausting lol. But for the sake of ttc, we WILL! Tonight's the night, the 1st official in the TTC SMEP plan...I might light a candle 🤣🤣

@Destiny25 I'm cd8, this is my first full day without af, I think prob still a while off yet. I'd say our opks look similar?

Funny story for you ladies.....so hubby is planning a trip away with his brother next month, then bil is coming to stay with us for a weeks holiday. I said to dh, "Well only as long as I'm pregnant by then, otherwise I'll require your services here, and your full attention"
He replied saying..."do you not have any of those bags left that you used to put the milk in?" (My breastmilk freezer bags) I said yes, he said "can we just freeze some and you can sort yourself?) I.e freeze his sperm and turkey baste!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I almost peed my pants!

@Luxoire just realised the typo... pretty sure DDT is an illegal insecticide. I meant doing the deed, sorry . Yes, once would be the ideal. My cycles are all over the place at the moment so really would need to do it a few times just in case. The joys x

@MrsSkr Hahhaha I laughed so hard i choked...that was definitely the best thing I have heard all week...hahha I'm sure even sure his sperm will survive outside for long let alone the freezer...your dh has got a great sense of humour Hahhaa I'm still laughing.
My DH loves send 4/5 a week if he is out on the road with work...10yrs and 2 kids later and he is still horny Hahahha just need to make sire he doesnt travel much dueing my fertile week...lol

And regarding testing that's exactly what I do haha 😂 just so I have to wait another day, I picked up an Asda test yesterday I'm trying to hold out to Sunday as Flo app says my period is due Wednesday do you this this test will be okay?

Does anyone have any recommendations on what other test are high sensitivity? I tried the clear blue last month but didn't rate them, and Iv not got amazon prime so time I get the one step test my period might be here

Yeah I think 3 days before your missed period should be ok FRER (First Response Early Result (pregnancy test)) is quite good and popular and claims to give you results up to 6days before your missed period! so maybe try that one..if must be extra sensitive

I have 24days till my next fertile window starts - less than a month!! Crikey! - and 13days till the witch comes knocking!
