@KCM99 I'm not sure, just done a clear blue that's come back negative 👎

KCM99 · 01/08/2019 11:15

@Mumof4andahalf yes CB aren't sensitive enough to pick up a faint line like that. Maybe wait and see if the line gets darker tomorrow and if so, but a FRER.

KCM99 · 01/08/2019 11:16

buy a FRER @Mumof4andahalf*

littlemimosa · 01/08/2019 11:21

@NicLondon1 ouch!! So sorry it was so painful. It seems so variable pain-wise. Can’t advice on the other procedure but hopefully someone will.

@Harriettenightingale - Ashwaganda is an Ayurveda herb which is used for stress and anxiety. I suspect that some of my hormonal imbalances are down to stress so I thought I’d give it a try. I have to say I feel calmer for sure since starting it. I did a bit of research and opted for the Viridian one as I wanted a quality reputable company. Taurine is also a calming amino acid. It’s used for (amongst many other things) peri menopausal symptoms along with magnesium. It works directly on the receptors in your brain that deal with stress/cortisol. I do feel a LOT better and calmer on all these things. So they aren’t directly fertility supplements but I’m just working on stress lowering to balance me out.
Hope that helps.

@rubyroot
Good luck hun. We’re here for you.

@Russkispy everything is crossed for you!

Harriettenightingale · 01/08/2019 13:00

Littlemimosa thank you for the information, really useful to know. Stress is definitely an issue for me.

Russkispy · 01/08/2019 15:10

@littlemimosa thank you! I'm surprisingly calm about it now. It's annoying to see the brown spotting as constantly wearing a pad but that's ok. Am not in any pain, clots or cramps and just getting on with things. Waiting for Wednesday scan and will take it from there. Nothing else I can do but keeping it calm.

Mumof4andahalf · 01/08/2019 17:37

@KCM99 I will, only boots does the frer here.
Normally nothing shows up on the cheapies for me and clear blues have been ok, I'm probably hoping tbh

KCM99 · 01/08/2019 20:30

@Mumof4andahalf I see. I'm actually not going to buy any FRERs anymore. I have a few IC's left and a blue dye numark and that'll have to do. Spent too much money on them this year.

I'm 4dpo today and usually start testing in a few days.

Mumof4andahalf · 01/08/2019 20:33

@KCM99 I get you! I try not to until I'm at least 3 days late

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 08:16

@Russkispy is your scan next Wednesday or was it this week?

I'm 5dpo today and test is stark white still. So any positive hpt in the next week will be as a result of new ovulation and not previous mmc a month ago.

Harriettenightingale · 02/08/2019 12:34

Positive opk just now so guess it's all systems go 😂

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 14:47

@Harriettenightingale get going girl!

How's the turmeric tea working out for those taking it?

Russkispy · 02/08/2019 14:55

@KCM99 it's next Wednesday. Will keep you posted Smile

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 14:59

@Russkispy thank you for letting us know. We will all be thinking of you.

Russkispy · 02/08/2019 15:22

@KCM99 thank you! Consultant said and wrote in the letter - subchorionic bleed. I read about it. Affects around 25% of all women during the first trimester, and it's quite normal. So I go by that. It's annoying to see but nothing I can't do. Apparently it disappears by itself unless progresses into something bad, I.e miscarriage etc Wednesday scan will tell us all 🤞🏻

MaryShelley1818 · 02/08/2019 22:42

Russkispy will be thinking of you next Wednesday, hope it all goes smoothly for the rest of your pregnancy.
Harriett me too!! So far managed Sat, Sun, Tues, Thurs, Fri so will keep going at the weekend and hopefully catch that elusive egg this month before we have to start the fertility testing 🤞🏼

Harriettenightingale · 02/08/2019 23:08

Did this afternoon, the joy of wfh 😂

Harriettenightingale · 02/08/2019 23:09

hmmm123 · 03/08/2019 11:59

Good luck @Russkispy

We've been doing the smep this month. Followed it to the letter so fingers crossed

Now in 2WW Confused

KCM99 · 03/08/2019 17:13

In my research I came across a journal article which concluded from their study data:

Women who had a loss in previous cycle were more successful in a pregnancy next time with fresh sperm, i.e BD timed directly at time of ovulation. In their study they found that women who got pg from sperm that was waiting, was more likely to end in another loss than those who got pg with 'fresh' sperm.

Remember it was only one study but I found it interesting.
Personally I've tried both (no SMEP and SMEP) and both have ended in loss.

Catconfusion · 03/08/2019 19:16

Hey ladies, I thought I’d nip on here to say I got a bfp yesterday. I took a bit of a step away from Mumsnet as my long cycles were getting me down. Little did I know my day 32 ovulation would lead to a bfp. I’m proof long irregular cycles can lead to conception after 40.

After my two back to back mcs in Feb and March I’m keeping optimistic but accept we have a long way to go. I have an ultrasound booked on Wednesday which was to investigate a possible cyst but the symptoms I had have gone now. I’ll be 4 weeks plus 2 then so hoping for some evidence of the pregnancy. The line is much darker since yesterday and I’m feeling nauseous so hopefully it will stick. Wishing you all well on your journeys Xxx

KCM99 · 03/08/2019 21:05

@Catconfusion that's great news congratulations!! and great you are feeling nauseas 😂 Hope your scan goes well. Let us know how it goes won't you 🌈

littlemimosa · 03/08/2019 23:31

@Catconfusion congratulations! Such great news. You sounded so down about your long cycles but you are obviously still very fertile. You give me hope too with my long cycles. I’m CD2 after another 6 week one. Fingers crossed this is it for you x

Harriettenightingale · 04/08/2019 01:16

Wonderful, catconfusion
