Realitysucks · 13/09/2019 20:50

@Cleozeta omg really!!! I’m so pleased for you ! That’s great news x

@Hobbes39 glad fall good and congratulations god that’s gone quick as well!

@Russkispy fingers crossed but all looking good so far and 15 just WOW.

@Jojowash hi there, I’m 41 am currently 7+5 had 2 mc and 2 failed rounds of ivf earlier this year. This one happened naturally ! I too am petrified ! We had a viability scan too and all was good, my next scan is 2nd is October and harmony test. I am convinced that scan will be bad and bubs won’t have grown any bigger. Trying not to stress. With my first (17 years ago ) I had awful morning sickness, this time despite a bit of nausea in the early few weeks I don’t even feel different ( except really sore boobs which I’m sure I didn’t have last time!) just got to get through each week at a time! X

Cleozeta · 13/09/2019 21:16

Reality - glad to hear things are still going strong. Try not to stress (I say whilst completely stressing!)
Welcome jojowash.
13dpo today, so seriously early days and completely stressing about this turning into a CP like last time. If I get over this hurdle then it'll be a mc or mmc to worry about. Then the harmony test. Then if I'm lucky enough to get that far - the 20 wk scan etc etc etc it goes on. Well, forever! 😂
Lets hope we all get that far.
Feel like shit on a stick today. I don't remember feeling this crap before, maybe it's a virus on top of the pg.

Russkispy - great news on all your eggs & embryo's. So much potential there!! Maybe you could make a whole football team! Wink

Realitysucks · 14/09/2019 11:15

@Cleozeta thanks I’m feeling the same ! Honestly though I’m breaking it down and not segments. Got past the 6 week viability scan, next 10 week scan and harmony test! If we get through that then 20 week scan, it is never ending !! Just doing a week at a time ! Plus work is so bloody stressful ! Have pulled 60 hours this week and now working again I have to stay on top of it or I’ll go crazy!

Cleozeta · 14/09/2019 17:33

Great that you have got so far reality. Fingers crossed for the next steps. Try to take it easy. Keep us updated!
Have you been given any advice in your early pregnancy? Baby asprin or anything?

Realitysucks · 14/09/2019 17:55

@Cleozeta I’m on Lubion injections twice a day and aspirin but that’s it.

Cleozeta · 14/09/2019 19:03

What is lubion?
Were you advised to take baby aspirin? Undecided on whether to start or not

rubyroot · 14/09/2019 19:26

Hi cleozeta, I'm expecting to be told on Monday at my 12 (actually 13) week scan. Midwife didn't say any thing, but I think that's the general advice now for 40s and over. Isn't it to prevent pre-eclampsia. Unless there is any other reason I won't be taking it as I have low blood pressure, rather than high so I don't see how just 1 1/2 years after becoming pregnant with my little one I am suddenly at risk.

Cleozeta · 14/09/2019 21:27

Ruby - yes I think they do advise it from 12 weeks for pre eclempsia for us over 40's, but I guess they'll take individual situations into account too, so they may say differently for you. I wonder if it is worth starting now or waiting until 12 weeks (if I'm lucky enough to get that far!)
Its one of those awkward ones where I'll blame a mc ob not taking it, but then I'll also blame a mc on taking it too.
They need to do more research on it!

rubyroot · 14/09/2019 22:09

Well apparently its safe so... Is there some other reason to take it, isn't there something about some women who miscarry need to have blood thinned and helps to keep baby in womb. Don't realky know what I'm talking about, perhaps someone will be along to correct me. For me though I know I don't have a problem holding on to babies, probably quite the opposite, my womb doesn't let go even if it should!!

Realitysucks · 14/09/2019 22:25

@Cleozeta Lubion is progesterone. Usually you have to take after ivf but because I’ve had 2 mcs they said to take it to thicken lining. The aspirin I was advised up to 32 weeks to prevent blood clots as I’m over 40 and to keep BP down ( not that mines high ) but to prevent pre eclampsia due to age again.

littlemimosa · 14/09/2019 23:32

@Cleozeta omg! Tentative congratulations! I do hope this is it for you. Everything is tightly crossed.

@Hobbes39 congratulations on the new arrivals! Such lovely news.

@Russkispy wow! Good luck with everything.

@eloisa246 I’m sorry to hear your first round wasn’t successful but like you say it’s only the beginning and there are more chances. I’m keeping everything crossed for you.

Much love to all you lovely lovely people💕

Cleozeta · 15/09/2019 08:12

Ruby I heard this too, I am considering it after my chemical last year. But then I also had a mmc where my body should have let go almost 4 weeks before it did, so maybe I don't need to? Urgh

Reality - did you start taking aspirin straight away? When I saw mw last year she suggested from week 12 onwards. I am also on progesterone, the pessery version. Do you know if a mc or cp would still happen as normal on progesterone? Or would I need to test to find out if its failed?

Mimosa - thanks! How are things with you?

Realitysucks · 15/09/2019 08:26

@Cleozeta are you on cyclogest ? I don’t absorb hence why I’m on injections. I asked the same about bleeding. Clinic said it is unlikely I would know as the progesterone will stop you bleeding. But he did say you would probably have cramping and lose the sore boobs etc and if I did a test and said less than 3+ then it would be an MC

Cleozeta · 15/09/2019 09:18

Thanks reality. I'll test with a digi tomorrow then as I'll be 4+2 by then. I decided not to over test this time as watching line progression is really stressful, I just want to try and relax about it a bit more this time, as I know it's probably my last shot.
I don't really have sore boobs, but I do have other symptoms, which seem quite strong this time, so trying to stay hopeful

rubyroot · 15/09/2019 10:23

@Cleozeta I had a chemical, right before this pregnancy and no period in between. Although I was gutted, I was pleased that my body did what it was supposed to for a change. I reckon my two miscarriages were chromosomal and I know my last loss was as that ended in termination and I had cvs. So for me it's not a problem carrying babies, it's chromosomal which is common the older you are I guess.

Realitysucks · 15/09/2019 10:30

@Cleozeta don’t get too hung up about the digital 1-2, 2-3, 3+ my first test was 1-2 it didn’t change to 2-3 till 5 weeks. I found a really helpful sheet on clear blue levels. I’ll find it for you. I had a HCG test at 4+4 it was 395 then at 5+3 it was 3895 so don’t worry. It wasn’t till 6+3 I got 3+ GP said it is because we are older that HCG can be lower. I’ve had less nausea which has worried me but she also said it could be the Lubion levelling me out more than my first pregnancy.

Realitysucks · 15/09/2019 10:33

@Cleozeta

Over 40 TTC - lots of baby dust for us...4!
Cleozeta · 15/09/2019 11:25

Ruby - I'm pretty sure my mmc was chromasonal too, but I think the cp may have been progesterone related, as after that my LP was 9 days long, which would not be enough to support a pregnancy.

Reality - thanks for the info. It's so easy to get over annalytical and paranoid over it. I'm terrified to be honest. I really don't want to do another test as I'm scared I won't like what I see. I really don't want to face the disapointment again.

rubyroot · 15/09/2019 11:36

@Cleozeta I didn't retest for my Chem pregnancy as it never occurred to me to retest. I did with this current pregnancy mainly because when I went to the doctors he said it came up as not pregnant and then said he had a faint line. Gave me a gmheart attack so did digital which was 2-3 weeks. Kept the other one to test for 3 plus and it gave me a boom icon. 😂At that point I gave up and decided to wait for my 6 week scan with epu. Is there any way you could get a scan. I had severe left sided pain whuxb meant they scanned at 4.5 weeks, 5 weeks and just over 6 weeks at epu to check for ectopic.

Yes you do dread what they're going to find or not find, but I am very much of the attitude I would rather know sooner than later. My termination at 13. 5 weeks was not pleasant having to deliver the baby and knowing sooner is definitely better for mental health I feel.

rubyroot · 15/09/2019 11:36

Book not boom

Russkispy · 15/09/2019 11:50

We got 12 good quality 5 day blastocysts in the freezer! Absolutely gobsmacked! I never ever predicted this great outcome! First milestone successfully completed. 2 of them biopsied and PGS tested and will get results in a couple of weeks or so.

I asked my coordinator to thank our donor, from the bottom of our hearts. God , wish I could do it in person!

I’ll be heading to our clinic in 3 weeks or so for my first scan so my doc can tailor our preparation for transfer. She thinks it might be natural cycle. And transfer then toward end of October 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

rubyroot · 15/09/2019 12:06

Excellent news @russkispy sounds like she has great eggs, no wonder she's a donor.

Cleozeta · 15/09/2019 12:10

Ruby - I got a scan at 7 weeks last year, all was fine, saw heartbeat etc, but it must have stopped growing shortly after as at 10 weeks it was all over. So unfortunately don't really trust scans any more! I'm just going to go with it this time and hope for the best.

Russkispy - great outcome! Fingers crossed for you.
I think if this doesn't work for us this time then I'll accept my eggs are too haggered and consider DE again.

rubyroot · 15/09/2019 12:41

I know the feeling @Cleozeta 9 week scan fine last time and then 13 weeks baby surrounded by fluid
