Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?

Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Well the apps say due in 3 days, but as this is my 1st cycle since coming off the pill, who knows when it might be. This prediction is based on an average 28 day cycle, but no idea how long mine will be as was on the pill from ages 16-33. How are you getting on @Wakemeupwithcoffee ?

Ah right. I’m fine period due in a week think I’ve had pms symptoms been really irritable and moody!! Got some better OPK kits really gonna try and time things better next cycle!

Hey hows everyone?? I have a question maybe one of you could help me?
I'd like to try and figure out when I ovulated...so Friday I was getting right side ovary pain and that is when I got the EWCM (I know myself pretty well and I only get EWCM one day in any month) now on Friday I got a line come up on the OPK though it wasnt as bold it was definitely there, then Saturday I did another OPK and it was lighter than the one on Friday but still visible, today no line at all. Then I had more pain in my right side on saturday? I'm trying to figure out whether I ovulated on Friday or Saturday? I'd like to log it into my ovia app but I dont want to get it wrong.

We DTD thursday morning and friday evening so hoping we caught!! Sorry if too much information but Friday evening after doing it I did see some more EWCM too.

Was there a big gap between the OPK fri and sat? Like did you do it fri morning then sat pm? I’m wondering if you missed the point we’re you would have got a dark as control line line? That’s what happened to me (I think), I did it sat morning and it was similar to the one you posted and I feel like if I’d repeated later that day (I didn’t get chance as away and had those stupid dip ones!) it might have come up. I didn’t do it til late Sunday and by that time it was definitely negative. I don’t think I even popped ovulation in the Ovia app this month just put ‘unclear’ on Saturdays. It’s all very confusing.

I don’t know if this help but so far I have noted:
Cycle 1: ewcm day 3 and day 5 (of the 6 day fertile period) positive OPK day 5 (so put ovulation in the app for day 6), no pelvic pain noted (but wasn’t really paying attention), DTD day 2, 4, 6 - so you would think a really good chance but no good!!

Cycle 2: ewcm day 1, 4, 6, left pelvic pain day 2,3 day 4 the unclear OPK, DTD day 1, 3. Feel there’s no hope this month!

I think in some ways these OPKs are more trouble than they’re worth! You can’t go wrong with going with your ewcm in my opinion!

@Wearenotyourkind I just got some Asda ones but the ones that you can wee on not the little dippy strips.

Let us know if you find these ones easier to use/more accurate.

@Wakemeupwithcoffee I did another that I did t post on friday evening and it was lighter than the one I did post - then Saturday even lighter then sunday nothing. I'm thinking maybe I ovulated on Saturday if this is the case? As had the EWCM on friday... earth I dont know! Lol

Hi everyone, hope you’re all fine. I’ve been trying to get caught up since my last post. Im in my fertile window and got my first flashing smiley today using clear blue OPK. I decided to give them a go to see how accurate my Ava bracelet is and it turns out very accurate since today’s flashing smiley is right on my first peak day. Im wondering through, should I test again later today? We DTD this morning anyway and prob will later tonight and in the morning tomorrow. Annoyingly I’ve two mega busy work days mon and tues which is going to be my last peak day and ovulation day so I’m hoping I’ve enough energy to keep up DTD momentum until this fertile window passes.

Sorry can’t help with advice @Ellsbells112, my EWCM doesn’t seem to be very consistent at the moment. Fingers crossed you caught it though.

Had some lower left abdo cramping. About 3d PO or so I thought... thought I'd just do a OPK and got a positive result 🤨 Currently CD 20 ... doesn't that seem quite late?

That does seem late. Do you have a long cycle?

It could be implantation cramping?? But not sure how that would explain the OPK.

I think the 3 best days is 2 days prior and day of ovulation for DTD dont quote me on that so just do what you can lol! I think if I don't catch this month next month I'll be DTD a lot closer to the time and see if that helps...

App says AF due tomorrow. I'm guessing I'm out for this month as have some mild cramps today. Good luck to everyone else!

Nope, I'm definitely out. AF arrived this afternoon. I'm not too disappointed though as this was only cycle #1. And AF came exactly 28 days since last, so hoping that means my cycles are all back to normal since being on the pill for so long. On to next month and will hopefully have more accurate tracking 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Wearenotyourkind sorry to hear that but glad you're feeling positive! Lots of baby dust for next month along with better tracking!
I'm just over here wanting at least a week to pass to see if I get symptoms! God I'm only 2dpo and already obsessing but trying not to! Lol

@Wearenotyourkind good your cycle is bang on normal length and you are positive. We can’t expect these things to happen straight away I guess (be nice if they did though!). I am about 9dpo maybe (unless I didn’t ovulate!). I’ve been moody and tender breasts - sounds like pms!

Sorry to hear arrival of AF @Wearenotyourkind but at least you have a positive out of it and hopefully ovulation etc will be easier to track with normal and regular cycle length.

My AF is due in four days according to apps and I have zero pregnancy symptoms, I usually get really sore boobs around ovulation and then just before period but atm they are totally fine. Got a bit of s dodgy tummy which is sometimes a sign AF is on its way so who knows!

Well I'm only 3dpo, yesterday was bloated and reay gassy sorry tmi lol but I also cramped up quite bad after orgasm? It was weird but I dunno why it happened its definitely not normal for me bit I think it's too early to be anything

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’m on our holiday still till Friday but thought I’d check in. I think I ’m 6w+2d today. I had some bleeding (not very heavy) on 2 separate occasions, after much Googling decided not much point seeking medical help out here this early. The days I had it were emotional rollercoasters 🙁 as DH & I have been talking lots excited for the future. Had none now for the past 3 days so hoping I won’t see anymore. I have my first GP appointment next Tuesday so I’ll mention it then. If they don’t think it’s worth sending me for an early scan, DH & I have agreed we’ll get a private one done next Friday, by which I’ll (hopefully) be 7w+5d. Other than the blood scares, I’m feeling good. Vivid dreams still pretty much every night, veins on my boobs making them look like maps! But no nausea or sickness.

Good luck Absa! I’m rooting for you. Hope your twinges are positive signs.

Ellsbells112 on your Q about when you ovulated - same as you, I never worked out the specific day, it was either one day or the day after. My rationale was to try and DTD when I first noticed a hike in symptoms i.e. increased CM and/or EWCM. At least if it was in the day(s) before there would hopefully be swimmers there to meet the egg. I’ll be able to confirm for sure when I get an official due date, but I think our BFP came from DTD 2/3 days before ovulation.

dropthemic how are you getting on since your coeliac diagnosis?

Wakemeupwithcoffee I’m a bit late but in answer to your poll - we used FertilityCheck gel, not every time but if my memory serves me right, we did use it during what I think was the successful DTD time.

PrincessConsuela12 how are you? Have you had further scans (NHS or private) lately?
