CP last month, hopes too high this month

Hi all,
Feel I'm just setting myself up for failure here...had a BFP quite unexpectedly last cycle (only dtd once and took ages for first bfp and bfp for my daughter I always thought was assisted by hsg). Unfortunately was a CP - accepted this pretty early on and glad it ended early if something was wrong.
My issue is this month I am convinced I'm going to get pregnant. The rumours of increased fertility after a CP and about 1000X the usual amount of ewcm, coupled with dtd 2 days before and suspected day of ovulation has me convinced.
I'm normally a realist and expected I was in ttc number 2 for the long haul (first bfp took almost a year then mmc, 2 d&c, investigations into scarring, also I'm 37) but can't shake this feeling. Someone please talk me down or at least tell me you've been there!? I know I'm going to feel extra crap when (if) AF arrives.

@Jeds55 oh no that's not good! Did they not agree to do a blood test??
Wow that's bad!

Thank you! Just did an ic I couldn't resist and it was stark white 🤷🏻‍♀️ so confused hoping it's a faulty one!! 😩

Yeah sat it's due so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Oh that's interesting!

Jeds55 · 27/06/2019 20:34

@Abi58 yeah I know- told doc how anxious I felt and nothing...even asked him if he knew where I could pay for private bloods but he didn't. He basically doesn't usually work in this CCG so knew nothing!
I have found the IC to be so much crapper than when I had my daughter- by the 5 week stage then both lines on tests were the same colour, this time the test line always much fainter. Trying not to worry about it and you shouldn't either - your frer lines have progressed so well

@Jeds55 that's so rubbish 😩 if you google it there are a few places you can go to and a few that deliver a kit to you. £50 ish each (so £100 if you did 2 to check rising) if my drs don't donome im going to look more into it and might pay.

I'm doing my daily frer at 9 and so nervous now it's going to be negative 😩🙈
Ic was doing ok but this one was stark white 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jeds55 · 27/06/2019 21:12

@Abi58 good luck

@Jeds55 do you have a walk in centre they would do your bloods for you or we have a side clinic next to a&e for non emergencies they would do bloods. Or you local women's out patients clinic just so you don't have to go private. Or just ask for another doctor xxx

Jeds55 · 27/06/2019 21:47

@Ladybug82 didn't think they would do it without a doctor's referral though? My partner thinks we should go fir private scan at around 7 weeks to check, had a scan with my dd at 8 weeks and did put mind at ease (for a few days!) Could try the other doctor route but appt probably wouldn't be for couple weeks now anyway. Goijg to try digital tomo in hope it's rolled to 3+, would be very happy with that

@Jeds55 thank you, seems I had a dodgy test possibly a faulty batch as didnoke this morning just to see if that one worked and it has but so so much lighter than the others (did a cheap cassette one which is at worst the same at best darker) so definitely the ic strips 😩

@Ladybug82 I didn't know you could do that either I know you can go and be seen or get bloods taken there but I thought you needed the blood form from your dr? Didn't know there were women's outpatjent clinics either 🙈

Ladybug82 · 28/06/2019 09:12

@Jeds55 @Abi58 we have a women's out patients it's part of the gynaecology ward in the hospital. You can phone then and tell them your worried and they usually tell you to come up for bloods. When I started bleeding last month after finding out I was pregnant they told me to come up straight away and scanned me. It's a fantastic service but not sure if everywhere has it.

Abi58 · 02/07/2019 15:37

@Ladybug82 I looked into it but I don't think I have one, thankfully I convinced my gp to order bloods. He said the results looked strong which I'm happy with 😁

Ladybug82 · 02/07/2019 16:23

@Abi58 that's good the numbers are going up such good news. Well my af is due tomorrow I've had bad cramps on a morning and a negative test yesterday so I guess I'm out this month. Fingers crossed for next month.

Abi58 · 03/07/2019 13:39

@Ladybug82 thank you ☺️
Any sign today??

Ladybug82 · 03/07/2019 14:11

@Abi58 AF came late last night Envycramps are way worse than they normally are and it's loads heavier than normal. I think it's to be expected though just fingers crossed for next month Smile

Jeds55 · 03/07/2019 14:21

@Ladybug82 sorry af arrived 🙁💕 make sure you take care of yourself

@Jeds55 thank you 🤞🏻😁
How many weeks will you be then? Who did you book with? I've booked one for in just under 3 weeks 🙈

Jeds55 · 03/07/2019 15:55

@Abi58 with babybond - I had a couple of scans with them with dd. I should be at least 6+5 so hoping can see heartbeat. Would've had it a bit later but away for a bit after that so can't fit it in. Glad you've got one booked too, so you'll be around 8 weeks? I had 8 week scan with dd, it's a nice time to have it as breaks up the 12 weeks and should definitely be able to see heartbeat etc

OP posts:
Abi58 · 03/07/2019 16:00

@Jeds55 is that the mothercare one? I've booked the same I think! Aw that will be lovely! Mine is at 7 weeks 1 day - husband wanted late as possible as was hoping to see at least a baby shape and I just want to see anything 😂 a heartbeat would be amazing so 🤞🏻

Jeds55 · 03/07/2019 16:13

@Abi58 I think so. I googled it (no surprise there) and average age to see heartbeat is between 6.5 to 7 weeks so hopefully we both have good news xxx

Abi58 · 03/07/2019 16:16
