CP last month, hopes too high this month

Hi all,
Feel I'm just setting myself up for failure here...had a BFP quite unexpectedly last cycle (only dtd once and took ages for first bfp and bfp for my daughter I always thought was assisted by hsg). Unfortunately was a CP - accepted this pretty early on and glad it ended early if something was wrong.
My issue is this month I am convinced I'm going to get pregnant. The rumours of increased fertility after a CP and about 1000X the usual amount of ewcm, coupled with dtd 2 days before and suspected day of ovulation has me convinced.
I'm normally a realist and expected I was in ttc number 2 for the long haul (first bfp took almost a year then mmc, 2 d&c, investigations into scarring, also I'm 37) but can't shake this feeling. Someone please talk me down or at least tell me you've been there!? I know I'm going to feel extra crap when (if) AF arrives.

@Abi58 crossed message. Not sure. Just feels so different to early days with dd (have symptoms still on Ovia app so csn look back). Maybe being pessimistic for no reason or maybe just to protect myself from getting hopes up too high.

I know it's none of my business but I would stop testing. It's normal not to have symptoms this early.

2-3 weeks is an excellent sign. If you get a beta test then you'll probably want to do a second (if you're anything like me). It's so hard but try to trust that you're pregnant now xxx

Sorry I've just reread that and it sounds very harsh. I don't mean it like that at all; just that you'll drive yourself mad (like I did) without really changing or learning anything. Best of luck, I really do think it looks very positive xxx

Not at all @BaweB, it's exactly what I would tell someone else! You're totally right - you learn nothing solid from testing so may as well save the stress and money. I'm stepping away from the tests for few days, at least. Will go docs Thurs and tell her how I'm feeling and see what she says.

Yay!!! Huge congrats Abbie. Must be a good line to see at 9dpo already. Def upload the pic when you can. Know exactly how you're feeling but we can only take 1 day at a time.

How is everyone doing. I had my progesterone level taken yesterday for day 21. It's part of going to fertility clinic I had them done last month and the level was 50 but that was the chemical pregnancy. This month it's 46 do we think that's an early sign I'm pregnant or am I clutching at straws. X

Hi @Ladybug82 that does sound high but haven't read up on progesterone for a long time. Shouldn't day 21 be around 10? Or am I totally misremembering?! When's your AF due?

I'm ok, still testing and still getting positives. The frer are getting darker but other ones staying the same. No symptoms what so ever, keep going to sleep thinking I'll wake up with something but no. Got docs tomorrow so will ask about blood tests to put mind at rest.
Going to take digital tomorrow to see if has rolled over to 3+ or dropped to 1-2. Not v scientific but something at least

@Jeds55 that's good news hope the doctors goes ok. My af isn't due till the 3rd so it's really early to start testing I don't want to get my hope up . I don't think anything will show up yet anyways x

Try and hold off as long as you can (early testing is just more worry than not knowing tbh 🙈) it sounds very promising though!

Blood test will help you feel better once you have it in numbers as lines can only tell us so much! 🤞🏻😁

Thank you! I hope so! 🤞🏻 it's definitely darker on 11dpo today than it was at its darkest at 12dpo last month but until I've definitely missed af by a few days/a week I wont stop worrying. Jumping the gun but planning to go drs on Friday to ask for blood test. I will use the waterworks if I have to 😂 af is due for/sat so I'm still so so nervous as it can still go wrong! Hoping it getting stronger is a good sign but no idea whether that means it's unlikely to be another chemical or whether only time will tell 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Your line looks so good @Abi58 I really wish I hadn't tested so early as it just adds more days of stress on, totally understand how you feel. My lines are darker than last month but like you I know it can still all go wrong. I think AF was due last Thurs or at latest Fri, but not totally sure because of the CP I ovulated a bit later than usual. Had positive opk on Weds at midday so figure Ov'd thirs so AF due 2 weeks after that?! All guess work.
Hope you can distract yourself this week. Being busy at work is actually helpful for me for once

@Abi58 appt at 10 so pretty soon. Still 2-3 on clearblue digital, bit disappointed but good that it hasn't gone to 1-2. Will see what doc says about blood tests, am sure she'll say the line/numbers don't matter but I don't truly believe that. I get that dye differs test to test but on the whole the lines should darken, up to a certain point. How are you today? Did you test?

I haven't managed testing yet but it's getting very difficult gonna try and hold on till Monday but I will probably cave will let you know if I do. Hope your appointment goes well today @Jeds55 xx

2-3 is fine though don't worry 💕 numbers might not matter as what will be will be but if it gives you peace of mind that makes it so worth it 🤞🏻
Feeling quite sick on and off. Yes I did...well my cheapys have been stronger at night so did frer last night and a cheap cassette one like the drs use (got to check that it would show positive this early in their tests before I go and look like a wally 😂) darker frer last night going to do again tonight. So worried af is going to turn up at the weekend!

Well doctors was pretty useless really, told me you fill in a form to self refer to EPU and wait for them to contact you. Came home, went to fill forn and it clearly says you need to be referred by a doc to EPU! I suspected it would be such as it was when I had mmc previously. Just going to book early private scan for around 7 weeks, so for 2 weeks time, and hope for the best. I'll take digital tomo in hope it now says 3+.

@Ladybug82 great willpower. Hope you make it to Monday and get a nice start to the week. Early testing is a nightmare as just a longer time to stress out about things for (in my experience).

@Abi58 great news that your tests getting darker. Did you say Sat AF due? Not long now, your lines are so good that sm sure you'll sail past it. I find the IC give me a better line in afternoon than morning but frer better in morning.
