Does anyone want to join?

I have been TTC #1 for 15 months and had a MC at 8 weeks in February.
I am off to the GP tomorrow to try and get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
Tried every trick and tip and old wives tale in the book to get a bfp!
It would be good to have a group of longer term ttcers to chat to.

@FlapJackered @BabySquid so happy you're both being referred, fx the ball rolls pretty quickly for you both from here xx

@KatBeCool reckon it's IB?! Keeping my fingers crossed for you too!! Xx

@cupcakesandglitter trying not to get my hopes up, but it's certainly making me constantly think about it.

@KatBeCool fingers crossed, what are your temps like?

Report
KatBeCool · 04/05/2019 15:16

@cupcakesandglitter had a massive temp drop yesterday, far below even my lowest follicular phase temp, and back up to high this morning, 11 DPO today.

Hello all can I join? I've now been ttc for a year. I had a mmc and I'm 2 days post surgery lying here on the sofa feeling sorry for myself wondering when/if I'll fall pregnant again.

@Chanel05 welcome, so sorry you had to go through that. Not giving up is the most positive thing you can do!

Thanks for the reassurance @Flapjackered and @Katbecool. I guess I have got it in my head that it is pretty short, which probably doesn't help!! Saying that though, I'm 11dpo now and no AF yet. I've been working hard to increase my luteal phase (high strength vit b, vit d, coq10 and raspberry leaf tea if anyone has the same issue) so hope that may have helped! 🤞

@Katbecool - that sounds promising, FX for you!

@Flapjackered Thanks! 😊 Actually I'm going freelance. Strange decision when TTC i know, but I can hopefully earn a similar amount doing less hours, no commute, and less stress...plus the maternity package at my company is rubbish so I won't be missing out on much!

@Chanel05 Welcome 😊 And very sorry for your loss too. I can't imagine how that feels but sending lots of hugs xx

Started spotting and some cramps. If AF comes now I'll be so gutted as I'd have to miss the next cycle 😭

@KatBeCool your temp was up this morning so there is definitely still hope, if I remember right CrossFit had spotting before her bfp. It is such torture isn't it. ❤️

@Chanel05 I am so sorry for your loss. It is heartbreaking and it takes some time to recover mentally and physically. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to feel ok. x

@PineappleC that's very exciting! I went freelance 3 years ago and it was the best decision I could have made, I now earn more money than I did full time and I work part time. Ideal!
Have you tried progesterone cream? I am using Elan Organics cream in the luteal phase. Don't ask me why as my luteal phase is actually fine! 🙈 I have heard it can lengthen luteal phase though.

@KatBeCool Like yours my temp has dropped almost to the cover line this morning (10dpo), I am hoping it is just a blip and shoots up again, but feeling very irrationally ragey and crampy today so I feel like af may be on her way soon.
How is your temp doing today?

Hi ladies, I'm new to this forum and not sure some of the abbreviations...
We have been TTC for 10 cycles now but nothing 😔. Visited Dr recently as I am concerned that age is against me (I'll be 36 this year). I've had blood test to check for ovulation - it was 29.8 but Dr said should be over 30 so I've to go back on day 21 again to redo bloods. She is also referring me to hospital- has anyone been referred to fertility clinic? What do they do? OH has to make an appt too but he has a 7 year old son so I think his results will be ok.

@Flapjackered oh sorry to hear that, and I hope that is just a blip for you!! I think temping is such a rollercoaster so have started ignoring mine. FX yours tomorrow goes right back up 😊

And that's really good to know re freelance. It sounds like you have made a real success of it, so hoping i can do the same!

Progesterone cream was definitely going to be my next action point so I will check that one out thank you! 😊

Saying all that though, I am now 12dpo, i think for the first time ever. I'm not getting excited yet but might do a test if no AF today xx

@FlapJackered dropped to slightly above cover line. I'm just gutted and it also means oral progesterone doesn't work nearly as well as my LP on not oral was 14 days. Hopefully your temp drop is good news (implantation) and it goes back up.

@KatBeCool I am sorry lovely. At least you know what works and what doesn't now, although I know it's not what you want. X

@PineappleC that's great news and very exciting! I will keep fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.

Welcome @SolwayGirl that is great they are taking it seriously. I have only just been referred to a clinic so I am not sure what happens but I assume they repeat all the tests and do an ultrasound first.

Spotting all day yesterday and today, mostly just when I wipe, it never got stronger. Temp dip this morning didn't help to keep my hopes up.

FlapJackered · 05/05/2019 20:10

@KatBeCool as we all say, you're not completely out until AF shows up!
I don't feel positive this cycle, I feel so cold today which I don't think is a good sign. 😬 I just hope the referral letter comes through soon.

Sorry to hear that it's the same for you @Katbecool - it never seems to get easier! Xx

I am sorry @PineappleC it is so hard when the hopes are high. That is a great sign your luteal phase was longer though, something you are doing must be working!

Temp drop again today to the cover line so I think AF will start tomorrow.
I know I have just created this thread but I think I need to try and have a little break from obsessing 🙈. So I might not be on Mumsnet for a few weeks.
Good luck to everyone in the meantime.

@KatBeCool it's a combination of here, googling and just generally thinking about it all the time. I think I just need to try and make something else in my life a priority for a while as it has started taking over a bit since the MC. I am not going forever, just a few weeks to get my head out of it all. Next cycle may be a write off anyway as DH is away when fertile week is due.
