Does anyone want to join?

I have been TTC #1 for 15 months and had a MC at 8 weeks in February.
I am off to the GP tomorrow to try and get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
Tried every trick and tip and old wives tale in the book to get a bfp!
It would be good to have a group of longer term ttcers to chat to.

@BabySquid congratulations! Hopefully your bfp is contagious and we all catch it.

@Mrs71 low level TSH may indicate hyperthyroidism. However, they usually test your T3 and T4 before they diagnose. As @FlapJackered said though, it's easily fixable with a simple prescription. As far ttc, hypothyroidism is what you don't want, hyperthyroidism shouldn't affect it.

@Newbie21 @BabySquid congratulations both of you! I've been catching up hoping that there might be more bfps. So pleased for you both.

Not quite a year of TTC for me but could really use some support. Why isn't this happening for us? ☹️

@queenqueenqueen ohh hun... While we all ask that question, the answer is a path to only negativity and depression. The only thing you can do is to keep telling yourself that it will happen.

@queenqueenqueen so sorry hun. It really is such a difficult and emotional journey. Try to stay positive and try to focus on other things which bring you happiness and help you relax - holidays, being out with friends, date nights etc. you will get there. We might all need a little bit more help along the way than others but stay positive as much as you can x

@carley321 thank you! Feeling so anxious Monday can’t come quick enough! I’m not sure why? I thought they always do say 3 -5 bloods as well as day 21. Maybe find out?

@KatBeCool so the under active won’t affect it as much? Still worrying though feeling annoyed with myself that I didn’t get blood tests done sooner. I’ve got family history of thyroid but I wasn’t to know and I don’t have many symptoms. I’ll fill you all in on Monday after I’ve been to the GP. Can’t help but feel so worried I feel like maybe it won’t ever happen for now. (So silly I know)

@Mrs71 when TSH level is high, your thyroid is underactive (hypothyroidism), but when it's low, it's overactive (hyperthyroidism). Having underactive Is worse than overactive, but it depends on what causes it to overact. As I mentioned, they will do other tests to diagnose it correctly. But even if it is diagnosed, medication can help it within just a few weeks (not always, but likely).

@queenqueenqueen I think because we hear that most people will get pregnant in a year. Then we all expect that it will happen. I think everyone is right we need to try to stay positive.

Meanwhile I'm on my 12th day of bleeding...

3dpo and there was pink when I wiped just now 😭 something new and exiting to worry about 🙄🙈

It is a tricky journey that we are on isn’t it 😕. But hopefully we will get some more bfp and get through it together.

Still no af here. Looks my regular cycles literally last 1 bloody cycle! Did a test yesterday bfn so had a fab days with friends and drunk my body wait in alcohol 🙈.

Actually it's 5 dpo (bad at counting) and now it's dark brown spotting 😭
I always get it before AF, but this is 10days before she is due. Gutted, I felt like this month might be different.

How is everyone else doing?

@Mrs71 try not to worry too much, thyroid problems are very common and most people conceive without an issue. It is good to get it under control though and that is very easily done. Let us know how you get on with the doc tomorrow x

@BabySquid 4 hours! Bloody hell! 😂 I do wonder if better sex helps though. 😂 the month I got pregnant we were both on holiday around ovulation so we're less tired and the sex was much more enjoyable and less clinical!

@bunhead34 I am sorry lovely, our bodies always like to add something else in to get us worried/screw us over don't they! You never know though it could be early implantation bleeding?

@Carley321 sorry for the bfn, definitely deserving of some🍷!

I am 7dpo today and my skin has just erupted into a mess of horrible angry spots. God I hate my stupid hormones.

@bunhead34 did you definitely ovulate? Last cycle I didn't and then this cycle BFP, same happened when I conceived DS and when I had my first MMC so... if this isn't IB (which it could be!) then maybe it's body preparing for next cycle!

@bunhead34 it isn't necessarily anything to worry about. It depends how much you see and how long it lasts for.

Try not to worry.

@Newbie21 I'm not sure if Ive ovulated as I haven't don't OPKs this month, I usually do tho!
Oh well, wait and see I guess!

@bunhead34 when I didn't ovulated AF which started with spotting for days occurred about a week and a half early so it could be that. TS nothing to worry about though. It can happen occasionally.

I get terrible hormonal spots to @flapjackered actually just 1 but that one is usually a beast and makes up for 10.

I did a test today BFN as expected I don’t even know why I caved in and did one! AF should be due today if not in next couple days. Such a shit feeling.
