Does anyone want to join?

I have been TTC #1 for 15 months and had a MC at 8 weeks in February.
I am off to the GP tomorrow to try and get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.
Tried every trick and tip and old wives tale in the book to get a bfp!
It would be good to have a group of longer term ttcers to chat to.

Hi ladies, just checking in 😊 Happy bank hols!

Cd21 (8dpo) for me today and one thing I'm pleased about is that I usually have very light cramping from about 5dpo onwards, and have had nothing yet. I'm not sure it's anything to do with pregnancy, as pretty sure there'd be no way of knowing at 5dpo, but this seems like progress anyway 😊

How is everyone doing? @Mrs71 I think you're on the same day as me? X

FlapJackered · 26/05/2019 06:32

My temp has gone down now just below cover line 🙈 I was really hoping it would go up today and confirm ovulation but looks like we need to Dtd today. Really don't feel like it at the moment as I know it's going to be hard work getting DH in the mood after two days of it.

@PineappleC not long to wait for you! When is af due?

KatBeCool · 26/05/2019 09:11

@FlapJackered maybe you're ovulating today if you had a dip? You just got your static smiley yesterday, so it's very likely.

FlapJackered · 26/05/2019 10:22

@KatBeCool very true, I just don't want to Dtd today 😩 ah needs must though!

Yes there's nothing like trying for a baby to totally kill your sex drive is there?!

Mrs71 · 26/05/2019 13:50

Hi ladies,

I’ve been away with a stinking cold and sore throat haven’t managed to dtd since Thursday but have been doing it everyday or at least every other day prior to that. @pinappleC yes we are CD22 for me today. I went for my blood test yesterday she said the results should be in by Wednesday so fingers crossed 🤞. When is your Af due? Mine varies between 28/30 so I’m not testing at all because I hate seeing a negative test makes me so sad!

@flapjackered I know the feeling too! At the beginning of the month I’m so up for it all the time, then towards the end I’m like Meh! 😂

FlapJackered · 26/05/2019 13:52

@NotMaryWhitehouse absolutely! I can't wait to be able to Dtd when we both just want to. It was pretty clinical today.

@Mrs71 good luck for Wednesday. I will keep fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on!
It's exhausting! 😂

PineappleC · 26/05/2019 16:20

@Mrs71 ah fingers crossed for your blood tests! We are going to give it one more cycle after this one and then go to the GP. Sorry about your cold though...it's horrid when you have to do all this TTC stuff when you really don't feel like it! My cycles are pretty short - 10/11 day luteal phase. I'm 9dpo today so due Tues/Weds. I know what you mean about negative tests - I hardly ever get round to testing because I guess I wouldn't expect anything to show up less than 10dpo, and then AF arrives...it's saved a fortune anyway 😂

Thanks @Flapjackered - I'm due Tues/Weds and having said yesterday that I've felt nothing so far, I've today had some light cramps and a tiny bit of brown spotting. All normal for me pre-AF, although the cramps usually start a good few days before any spotting! Hope you manage to DTD - it is SO exhausting having to get both you and them in the mood!! Xx

Tryingforkittens · 26/05/2019 16:50

@Pineapple we are cycle buddies! I am also 9dpo today and due AF Tuesday! I've been spotting since 4dpo :( but it's definitely lighter spotting this month than previously... I'm fully expecting AF but I still hope as I spotted when I was pregnant.

Mrs71 · 26/05/2019 17:40

Thanks @flapjackered. 😌

@PinappleC hope your get a BFP before going to see a GP! I always thought I would Oh well never mind. I am feeling positive at the moment though, I was on holiday last month and got a lot of pink spotting one week before AF then 6 days later I got AF quite heavy was very strange. I did take soy isoflavonnes last month too. I’m taking vitamin B complex but was thinking about taking some more supplements not sure what though.

Newbie21 · 26/05/2019 18:33

@Mrs71 good luck with the tests. I had mine done on Friday but didn't ask when results would be as there was a bit of a commotion outside the room with another patient so had to let nurse get on and help out. Hopefully will get them and DH's test results this week.

I'm DPO 7 today so think there are quite a few of us at the same cycle stage. I feel slight crampy, heavy feeling so not too hopeful. Waiting for the spotting to start.

@PineappleC best of luck for a BFP.

PineappleC · 26/05/2019 22:03

@Tryingforkittens That a good if it's lighter than usual! 😊 I always feel a small victory every month that something has improved!

@Mrs71 Thank you! Great that you're feeling positive! I try to but must admit I've struggled with that in the last month or so, it takes a lot of willpower to keep focusing on all the timings and vits and "rules". I'm on the B Vits too - we're away this weekend and I forgot to take all my vits with me, so wonder if that's why my cramping and spotting has come on so suddenly. I've heard that stopping Vit B "cold turkey" isn't advised! I also take CoQ10, vit D, omegas and seven seas TTC...most to try and lengthen my luteal phase 😊

@Newbie Thank you! And I hope your cramps go away! I also have that heavy feeling now 😥 Its so weird, everything usually comes so gradually for me but this time everything has come on suddenly in about 12hrs! I am pretty sure AF will come in the next day or so...early!!

FlapJackered · 27/05/2019 08:04

Lots of you expecting af/bfp next week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻we get some more bfps on this thread!

Temp still hasn't gone up much. It is 36.33 when it normal shoots up to 36.50/60.
I am going to take it that I have ovulated though as I am getting the symptoms that I have; bad oily skin, pains have stopped, sticky cm. I am hoping bbt is just taking some time to rise. I found the attached which is quite interesting.
I just don't know what is going on with my temps, they were higher before my positive opks. I may just give up temping this cycle and hope for the best. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi ladies!

Late to the party but do you mind if I join you?

I'm 26, DH 34.
Currently in my 11 month TTC with a chemical in the 4th month.

Regular periods, hormone levels have come back all fine and ultrasound shows everything is how it should be although ovaries do have a polycystic appearance but i'm told I don't have PCOS?

DH also booked in for bloods and semen analysis this month.

Praying for us all - here is to 2020 babies!

Newbie21 · 27/05/2019 10:46

@latulipe welcome. I hope your DH's results come back ok. Good that your results seem to be ok although I appreciate it's not much comfort when you're still not pregnant! Fingers crossed for all of us. Where in your cycle are you?

latulipe · 27/05/2019 11:09

@Newbie21 best of luck for your results too! According to the Flo app today is the day of ovulation. I don't temp or use ovulation kits, just DTD every couple of days and a little bit more on my fertile days.

Goodyear2019 · 27/05/2019 15:34

Hi @latulipe Wishing you lots of luck for this month. I'm at a similar stage as you. Finished cycle #11 no bfps so far, now in fertile week of cycle #12. We're just starting the testing process, I'll getting my 21 day testing done end of next week and DH booked in for us tests in a couple weeks time.
That's great that you're tests have all come back ok. do you know what the next steps are for you, any more tests they can do?

latulipe · 27/05/2019 15:54

@Goodyear2019 thank you! Best of luck to you too and hope your tests come back all OK! Are your cycles regular? Do you temp/OPKs? The GP said as everything looks OK there isn't anything more she can do until we've been trying for 2 years however, my DH saw a male GP and partner of the same surgery and it was very much a different tune. Once DH has his tests and results are back he said he'll have us referred to a fertility clinic, depending on the NHS waiting times we may just opt for private to see what's really going on!

Praying so, so hard for all of us on this thread! It will happen!

Goodyear2019 · 27/05/2019 16:36

@latulipe My cycles are very regular, no issues there. I did temp, but don't anymore as I didn't find it helpful. I use OPKs some months, some months I find it stresses me out! When I do use them it indicates I am ovulating at roughly the same time each month. It's frustrating that some GPs give different information. We've thought about going private, but will wait and see what comes of these initial tests and what our GP says after that.

PineappleC · 27/05/2019 21:37

So having thought this was going to be a good cycle, turns out it was my worse to date. AF arrived today, making last cycle 22 days with a 9.5 day luteal phase...WTF!! Previous cycle was longer than usual (late ov) so wonder if it's my body "resetting" itself. Has anyone else had a longer cycle immediately followed by a shorter cycle? Mine are usually about 24-25 days, but last cycle was 27 and this one 22!

Does anyone think this sounds kinda abnormal/infertile? Please tell me if you think so...I'd rather know so I can go to the GPs and see if there's anything they can do xx

Mrs71 · 28/05/2019 00:42

@PineappleC sorry AF came for you, I don’t think it’s abnormal some people just have shorter cycles. When I went to go see the GP I felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders just by even speaking to him. Maybe go, you’ll have more peace of mind.

@newbie21 GP told me to come back after day 21 blood test so he can discuss results with us.

Welcome @latuLupe 🙂

@flapjackered hope AF stays away from you too. 🤞

Newbie21 · 28/05/2019 06:50

@PineappleC I agree with @Mrs71 I would go speak to your gp. I've actually had the opposite of you - v short cycle followed by a long one. I've definitely felt better speaking to my doctor. He was of the view that by itself the varying cycle times isn't an issue but it does make it more difficult to time dtd so next cycle I start cloned to regulate timing.

Goodyear2019 · 28/05/2019 08:38

@PineappleC I don't think your shorter cycle will be anything to worry about, agree with Mrs71 it's worth speaking to your GP to put your mind at rest. My cycles have varied from 31 days to 26 days.
@Mrs71 good luck for your test results

Mrs71 · 28/05/2019 09:57

@Goodyear2019 thank you. I’m going to call the doctors up today see if they have my day21 blood test in 😂🤞 . Probably won’t but never know, I’m so impatient. It’s probably nothing but I have such a bad cough and have a weird taste in my mouth last couple of days. I’m not even getting my hopes up because I just feel like it’s normal to get a BFN for me now. 😞
