@TrashKitten10 amazing!!! Congratulations 💕 what an amazing line

Ferii · 03/03/2019 08:29

@FlapJackered @KatBeCool I've been taking levothyroxine for 9 years since my mid 20s (my entire family including the men have it!). I've only ever had it managed by my GP but now we're TTC I thought it best to see an actual endocrinologist so I have my appointment in 10 days. I've been on contraception since I was 16 because of horrendous periods (long, heavy, frequent and frankly traumatic) so I haven't had one for years and having periods again now is a bit strange and I'm hoping they don't end up being like they were when I was younger. I'm hoping that the period problems don't signal an underlying fertility issue but since I've never in my life had a pregnancy scare when everyone else I know has there's a part of me which thinks I must have fertility problems. I guess time will tell! How long have you both been TTC?

Soda123x · 03/03/2019 08:30

@TrashKitten10 Congratulations!!!!
I love logging on and seeing BFPs !!! Hopefully you and lokicat are the start of many to come this month.

I'm on cycle 2, had no symptoms and not sure when AF due could be anywhere from 7th-14th March so I'm just hanging in there and determined not to do any POAS until at least 15th March providing AF doesn't show xx

MrsMcNtobe · 03/03/2019 08:32

@starkid @luckypenguin I’m convinced I should get my BFP at 9/10dpo or else I’m out for the month.. my brain is ridiculous!

@trashkitten10 congratulations!!!!

Toka · 03/03/2019 08:47

@TrashKitten10 oh my gosh - congratulations!! And what a line! No squinting required

OhMarnie · 03/03/2019 08:48

@TrashKitten10 WOW what an amazing line!!! Huge congratulations to you 💕💕💕

Toka · 03/03/2019 08:49

Soda123x hello! Also cycle 2 and my poas date is 15 March (period due 11th, I think) nice to have company in the TWW

BostonFern · 03/03/2019 08:54

@LuckyPenguin what a lovely end to half term! It'll be nice to have someone to do the TWW with!

@TrashKitten10 huge congratulations, there's no mistaking that line! Here's to a wonderful nine months for you 🎉

@Ferii welcome!

Soda123x · 03/03/2019 08:57

@Toka hi 👋
The 15th still seems like such a long time away yet !! Fingers crossed xx

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2019 09:02

@TrashKitten10 congratulations that’s a strong positive result there!!!

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2019 09:05

@LokiCat how did you tell DH? Is he super excited?

LuckyPenguin · 03/03/2019 09:15

@TrashKitten10 😱😱😱😱 what a strong line!! CONGRATULATIONS!!'

@MrsMcNtobe - no I get it! I'm very similar!

@BostonFern - yep it will buddy!

orangeloo · 03/03/2019 10:44

@TrashKitten10 wow!! 😀 what a line!! Huge congratulations!!

@Ferii welcome! I have hypothyroidism and recently got level checked- it's now under 2 which I'm really happy about. My sister has four kids and a level of 4.59 last time it was tested so I wouldn't worry too much. Also I wouldn't read into the fact you haven't had a scare too much, you were on the pill which is the whole point. Good luck with the Endocrinologist.

granddesigns · 03/03/2019 10:44

Congratulations @TrashKitten10 - hopefully this is the start of a positive month for lots more ladies too!

So, for anyone who is interested I'd said I was going to explore some alternative therapies and had an appointment last week with someone a friend recommended. She does all sorts of therapies including acupuncture which I had read about so thought this might be what she did in a bid to try and help us in our ttc journey. Nope - the session was kinesiology based and basically involved asking my body various questions and a muscle test to respond. Hard to explain but I know i wasn't doing anything to vary how the muscles responded and some were yes and some were no answers! It took about 90 mins in all, taking a history and then a short treatment - she identified which hormones (out of all the hormones in the body) weren't balanced and in a blind test they were oestrogen, follicle production and prolactin... plus a couple of others.... I know some people won't agree or be convinced but I couldn't explain the response so cautiously accepted. She then did some work to balance these hormones in the body (tapping on acupressure points linked to the various lines running through the body I think). It was very interesting and, as I commence cycle 4 made me feel I have done my something extra this time that I'm trying to add on to keep me sane as the weeks go by! Hopefully everything is still balanced as I wait to start opks this week!

Happy to answer any queries (although I don't understand everything fully!) but similarly accept that some people might think this is a load of rubbish! I guess I'm just sharing my own experiences if anyone is interested and would just ask that this is respected even if you don't agree personally. And if it 'works' combined with everything else that's a plus point!

KatBeCool · 03/03/2019 11:14

@Ferii did your periods become lighter? The older you get, normally, they get lighter, and should also be less painful. Mine were never painful outside of the first year. But were super heavy, now they're much much lighter. In a way, stronger periods are better because it might indicate thicker lining. I've been ttc for ten cycles. But as I mentioned, high fsh affected it other things for me so only the last couple months truly count. I wish I would've known sooner. Is yours under 2?

@FlapJackered today is 12 DPO. I'm still unsure if the temp drops for AF when on progesterone. I've seen people say both ways. My temp is still up. No AF cramps. I won't test until Tuesday, if I can make it that far. I feel nothing other than being a raging bitch. I can't control no matter how hard I try. I don't like it.

MrsH497 · 03/03/2019 11:17

Congratulations @TrashKitten10 such a strong line. X

KatBeCool · 03/03/2019 11:19

@granddesigns while I might accept the magic of your body talking back and telling you what hormones are low, I certainly won't believe that a few tiny needles fixed everything in matter of thirty minutes. It's impossible or it'd be a well-known method. How long have you been ttc?

granddesigns · 03/03/2019 11:24

Yeah @KatBeCool I don't think I do either yet! I guess I can accept the answers part maybe but will be interesting to see what happens next with regards the balancing of hormones etc. Ttc 4 cycles officially so nothing else that I can be doing atm except trying and have already cut down caffeine, no alcohol, vitamins and increased exercise so thought it wouldn't hurt trying. Just know some people on here were interested to know what happened so said I would feedback. Still a bit skeptical but - well work health plan covered it so not a lot to lose except a couple of hours!

Lemonysherbet · 03/03/2019 12:04

@trashkitten what a beautiful line 😍 congratulations

TrashKitten10 · 03/03/2019 12:06

@KatBeCool @LokiCat @daisiesandpeonies @thumper59 @Soda123x @MrsMcNtobe @Toka @OhMarnie @BostonFern @Lozzlepop @LuckyPenguin @orangeloo @granddesigns @MrsH497 Thank you everyone! I'm so shocked but over the moon. I have PCOS and irregular periods so fully expected this to take a long time. Just crossing everything that it sticks :)

@FlapJackered I'm 14/15dpo. Got my positive OPK 15 days ago so my apps said I ovulated the next day but I had bad cramps that night so it could have been then.

@starkid Well I've been feeling rubbish this week but none of the symptoms were anything I had associated with pregnancy. Pretty much every other night I had insomnia, either unable to fall asleep or unable to stay asleep. My spirit animal is a cat as I'm able to sleep anywhere, anytime and can nap in the day and still fall fast asleep at night so this was pretty unusual for me. I am feeling quite stressed about a few things at work so thought I was just keeping myself awake worrying. Then I had a bad headache for a few days and felt maybe a bit lightheaded, but that would be expected trying to function on a few hours sleep. Slightly sore boobs and sensitive nipples yesterday but nothing too remarkable considering I was expecting AF. Maybe a bit more watery CM than normal. AF was due this weekend so thought this morning as I couldn't sleep anyway I might as well busy myself and try out a pregnancy test. Dipped the test, went to set my phone timer for 3 minutes and by the time I looked back the line was already appearing. I was amazed! Told the cat who completely uninterested and just shouted at me for dithering with a pee stick and not sorting out her breakfast. Hopefully she'll warm to the idea :) I then had to wait for what seemed like a year for DH to wake from his slumber to surprise him. Turns out he had no idea how to read a pregnancy test so was like 'what does it mean?!' Silly DH 🙄 I'm really surprised how strong the line is and I've told DH maybe it's twins which turned his reaction from shock and excitement to terror 😂

@TrashKitten10 massive congratulations!! That is a beautiful line!
Thread 14 is looking good so far!!

I'm cd9 so going to start the joyous poas marathon that is ovulation spotting tomorrow. Though DTD every second day anyway to cover all bases.

Lemonysherbet · 03/03/2019 13:51

@trashkitten 😂 about the cat not being interested

TTC34 · 03/03/2019 14:07

@TrashKitten10 I'm still here 🙋🏻‍♀️. Been a month off for me as been travelling/DH ill. I'm back on it this month. Cycle 3 CD 5. Huge congratulations to you! I'm feeling good vibes from thread 14! Thanks for keeping all the stats up to date.
Congrats to all the recent BFPs!

starkid · 03/03/2019 16:35

@KatBeCool - sorry the progesterone is making you a bitch lmao, damn hormones.
@granddesigns - all pretty interesting, will be good to see what your next cycle is like now, compared to previous ones.
@TrashKitten10 - wow weird, everyone has such different symptoms, although I keep seeing people saying they felt generally run down/shitty, so guess that's something to look out for. Was your DH excited once he worked out how to read the test? (and the cat eventually haha)

Af is slowly easing up, so will give it another day or two then start the good old opks once again... Haven't had as much craziness/energy boosting from the soya isoflavones this cycle, not sure if that has anything to do with the extra B6 I've been taking too, or maybe I'm just getting used to it!

MrsR16 · 03/03/2019 20:46

Oh wow, dropped on here after a couple of days off and what wonderful surprises awaited?!? @TrashKitten10 @LokiCat huge congratulations!!!

Welcome to all new ladies as well 😊
