🙁 feeling down today approaching AF time and I just feel like it's never going to happen. It's only coming up to cycle 5 but I naively thought it wouldn't take this long. X

Lottiepink · 17/03/2019 21:51

@Lozzlepop hopefully it will mean implantation for you 🤞🏻 but i don't mean to scare you but it can be abnormal to bleed during sex, so just wanted to say for you to monitor it, I'm sure it's totally fine though with it only happening on certain occasions 😊

Crossfitgirl · 17/03/2019 22:01

Congratulations @bostonfern!
Ooooh so exciting! How are you feeling?
I couldn't stop shaking all evening the night I found out. Went straight to tesco to get a clearblue for the next morning!
Will you wait a bit for a stronger line and test again? Xx

KittieKath · 18/03/2019 00:05

@bosternfern hurrah! That is so lovely.... I am so pleased for you. Wishing you a H&H 9months.😍

I had a weekend trying to take my mind off TWW whilst not drinking too much... was pretty dull to be honest!

Though I did meet a friend new baby, which was so gorgeous I nearly cried! Heart shapes! Made my ovaries ache though.. 🤞

BostonFern · 18/03/2019 06:21

Thank you @Crossfitgirl @KittieKath
@Crossfitgirl I was shaking too! I tested again this morning to make sure it was true (I've been dreaming about analysing pregnancy tests all night!). The line is still there.
@KittieKath 🤞 you'll soon have a little one of your own to hold.

Fivebyfive2 · 18/03/2019 07:58

Hi ladies, sorry to jump in early on a Mon but having a moment here!! So, today is 1 week from my smm op. The bleeding has totally stopped, not even spotting, which is good. Feeling well. I took a test this morning, just for piece of mind, to draw a line under it all... This came up pretty much immediately. I know it is lighter than when I took my original test to find out I was pregnant, but it's not exactly a squinter either! We haven't had sex since mid Feb, a few days before before the Bad News scan. I know I'm not pregnant, so am wondering if I should call the gp or someone, just in case they need to check me out following the op?? Or shall I just leave it a bit longer, maybe the hormones need some extra time to drop off?? What do you girls think?

TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 14!
Lottiepink · 18/03/2019 08:20

@Fivebyfive2 so sorry with what you have been through. I wouldn't know exactly but I would assume it would take a few weeks after for your hormones to fully settle? Maybe try to leave it another week, then ring the doctor?
As you say, you will just want to draw a line under it and start a fresh again x

KatBeCool · 18/03/2019 08:20

@Fivebyfive2 call just to be safe. I'm sure since the bleeding stopped, and you're not pain, that everything is fine, and the line will go away shortly, but it'll help you worry less when hearing it from a dr.

Jessikka · 18/03/2019 08:43

Congratulations @BostonFern 🥰🥰

MrsAW2018 · 18/03/2019 09:36

Morning ladies, hope you all had a fab weekend!

We went to a wedding on Saturday. Should have been a nice day but there were so many babies and that was hard (there were 2 on our table alone)😩

My period is due between now and Wednesday and I've just done a FRER and it's negative so I guess I'm probably out this month💔.

We're going to re-evaluate TTC and whether it's right for us right now. I didn't expect it to take this long (next cycle will be the 10th but we won't be able to get any medical help until September because for medical reasons, that's when we've told the doctors we started trying).

So yeah, it's all a bit shit. Sending hugs to everyone finding it a bit shit too.

Sorry for the essay! Have a good Monday!

FlapJackered · 18/03/2019 09:55

So temp went up today but only just above cover line. I will be so happy if I have ovulated already as I was really expecting this cycle to be all messed up from the mc.
It may just be a random temp though so 🤞🏻 for tomorrow!

Girls I need your help. One of my best friends wants to come and visit. She is pregnant and knows I have just had the miscarriage. I am just still a bit up and down and not sure I can cope with seeing her bumped and excited about the baby just yet, our due dates would have been quite close too.
I just don't know how to say I don't want to see her yet without sounding like a complete arsehole. I don't want her to think I am not happy for her. She lives about 2 hours away so it's not easy to do a quick visit. 😕

@Fivebyfive2 if you're worried I would contact the hospital where you had your op and ask someone to call you back. They told me to wait 3 weeks after the mc to test as it takes a while to get back to normal, I think the further you are along the longer it takes too. I was 7.5 weeks at mine.
I tested a week after and mine was a similar strength to yours. I have just tested now which is 3 weeks after and it is now negative. It is so frustrating having to wait isn't it, the only time you want a bfn!

@MrsAW2018 I am sorry you're having a rough time. We have both been here for a while haven't we. Don't give up though and this cycle is not over until af turns up! I only got my bfp the day af was due. I am completely with you on the seeing babies everywhere, it's so hard isn't it. X

Hatty33 · 18/03/2019 10:04

Hi ladies. Some advice needed. I was due Thursday but af did not arrive so tested was negative. Still no af when would you test again, no other symptoms but this would be number 1 so don’t know what to expect. Thanks

cupcakesandglitter · 18/03/2019 10:27

@Fivebyfive2 I'd definitely call too, just for piece of mind xx

@MrsAW2018 I took a break and actually it was the best thing - although it was a horrible feeling, I really needed that time off and it's made DH and I enjoy TTC again. I think it was starting to kill our sex life too so don't be afraid to take some time out for yourself xx

@FlapJackered I'd be honest with her and explain that you're not ready yet, as it would be unfair of you to not talk about her pregnancy when she's with you, but it'd be too difficult yet, I'm sure she'll understand. Definitely do whatever makes you comfortable - oh and fx you've ovulated!! xxx

@Hatty33 what cycle is this? Do you know when you've ovulated? Xx

Hatty33 · 18/03/2019 10:35

This is TTC cycle 8. I have a 26 day cycle so I ovulated 1st March. All new to this. Had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks but other than had no luck so far

blackfriars · 18/03/2019 10:39

Hi guys, hoping I'm not too late to join this thread?

I'm cycle #3 though just tested today (CD24 using First Response) and got a BFN. Feeling pretty bummed as we made a very er….concerted effort this month! DTD 6 times in FW. I know it's early days but I felt like this month might be our month!

Thinking of trying SMEP next month.

Good luck to all xx

Jessikka · 18/03/2019 10:48

Hey all 👋🏻

Just checking in! how are you all?

OPKs are getting darker and usually Ov day 12 (tomorrow) so not long to go hopefully! though my cycles are still changing length so it may be later 🤷🏼‍♀️

Weirdly, pre OV week is my fave of the month - my skin is so happy before Ov and then it slowly gets more miserable!!

I stupidly told myself how amazing it would be to conceive this cycle and tell OH on our ten year anniversary and now it's in the back of my head constantly and I wish I hadn't thought it 🙈 .. self inflicted pressure 🤧

Oh well, what will be will be x

starkid · 18/03/2019 12:23

@Hatty33 - Hey, did you temp/do opk's to know if you ovulated on 1st march? Might just be a case that you ovulated later this month :) Maybe test again Weds/Thurs?

BabySquid · 18/03/2019 12:27

@Hatty33 as you have 26 day cycles, a 14 day LP would be uncommon, do you bbt or opk? Did you test Thursday, or after?

Jessikka · 18/03/2019 12:31

@BabySquid I thought Luteal Phases could last anywhere between 11-17 days? with 12-14 being most common?

Hatty33 · 18/03/2019 12:33

I used the ovulation sticks. May have got the date wrong brain all over the place atm! Know I was due thur tested then got negative. Still no af

starkid · 18/03/2019 13:39

@BabySquid - all good for me :) thank you!
@Jessikka - my luteal phase has been 9-10 days long for quite a few cycles, even though my cycles are around 28-29 days

MrsR16 · 18/03/2019 13:56

Omg ladies I'm in a real dilemma now... I'm 12dpo, AF due on either Wednesday or Thursday, feeling like I've done a million sit ups. I've had an awesome job opportunity come up which I'll be applying for regardless. If I am pregnant this month though and I am lucky enough to get the job, I don't think I'd be entitled to any maternity leave pay... I should have an answer by the end of the week, but this really worries me! Then I remember that I'm probably not pregnant anyway 🙈 it's this TWW - it's driving me crackers!

Sorry for the ramble, ladies!

BabySquid · 18/03/2019 14:04

@MrsR16 it doesn't matter if you're not entitled from the company, you still get it from the state, all you'd have to do take the SMP1 form that your payroll dept would give you, and take it to the job centre. Put you and your needs first. 😁

Jessikka · 18/03/2019 14:05

I wasn't trying to suggest they are always in that range @starkid :)

I was just confused as a comment said that 12-14 was uncommon, whereas I thought it was most common so thought I'd got it all wrong and was 4 cycles in and getting it all confused lol - it's entirely possible I misunderstood the context rather than the comment.

🙈
