BabySquid · 14/03/2019 11:25

Morning ladies, how we all doing today? Sorry I've been really quiet, don't know what's up with me this week but I've just not been feeling myself, and now to top it off I've got a sore throat, back ache, neck ache, and upper belly ache!! Think I just need shooting!!
And because of all this, when I took my temp this morning it's risen from 35.88 yesterday to 37.48 today!! This could be the lack of sleep though?!!

Pinksunset1 · 14/03/2019 11:55

Hi i wanted to join in on this chat please. I new here. I’m 28 this month hubby 28 had the coil in for three years as I had terrible AF had to get it out in October as I had a flare up of old symptoms and pelvic pain. I have since left it out as we are TTC. I’m currently 61 days late for AF have taken numerous tests all negative. I have had three AF since having coil out and my cycle varies from 45-48 days. I don’t know what else to do as I am in limbo just now. Doctor isn’t being very helpful either. Can anyone advise me what to do?

TonightJosephine · 14/03/2019 12:00

Hello ladies. Can I join? Officially TTC no.1 as of about half an hour ago when I had my coil removed. Eek!

BabySquid · 14/03/2019 12:09

Hi ladies @TonightJosephine @Pinksunset1
This thread is great. @Pinksunset1 not a lot you can do other than just ride it out I'm sorry to say. These cycles do like to mess with us. Have you tried speaking to a different dr?

Lozzlepop · 14/03/2019 12:47

@Pinksunset1 sorry to hear that you are in limbo, have you any history of long cycles in the past?

@TonightJosephine welcome, its lovely to have you here ☺️

KatBeCool · 14/03/2019 15:01

@Pinksunset1 welcome! You need to see a dr. Tell them you haven't had a period in two months. That enough grounds for them to do something. I can't think of an excuse that is valid for a dr not to help you. 45-day cycles are long to begin with, the fact that you had a medical history adds to it, and not having a period in over sixty days is definitely something for them to look at. Be persistent if you have to.

@TonightJosephine welcome!

daisiesandpeonies · 14/03/2019 16:05

Hi @Pinksunset1 welcome! I've been off the pill for a year next month. My cycles have all been between 35 and 45 days, with the exception of in the summer when I had a 67 day cycle! Like you I did lots of pregnancy tests which all came up negative. I went to the doctor and they sent me for blood tests when I was on about day 50, my period came while I was waiting for the results. They came back fine. Doctor just said that missing a period isn't uncommon, which I didn't feel was a great explanation but I guess they aren't that concerned. I am quite concerned about PCOS as long and irregular cycles are a symptom (together with acne which I have lots of post-pill)

Pinksunset1 · 14/03/2019 16:56

@babysquid @lozzlepop @katbecool I have always had irregular periods but never this long this is why I had to have the coil in past as periods came often and heavy. Now I’m the other extreme I’m going to try a different doctor thanks for all trying to help.

@daisesandpeonies I’m also concerned I may have pcos when I attend gynae they aren’t very helpful to me in fact last appointment was so bad she had me in tears making out it’s all in my head which it isn’t at the minute I’m in agony with my pelvis like I was before. I also have bad acne and slight weight gain. I hope you get help soon or conceive x

starkid · 14/03/2019 16:58

@Pinksunset1 - doesn't sound like you've been taken seriously/seen an understanding doctor so far, so yes definitely see another one, even if it's in the same GP xx

daisiesandpeonies · 14/03/2019 17:48

@Pinksunset1 sorry to hear about your bad experience at the gynae. It's difficult to find an understanding doctor, especially when it comes to 'women's problems.' They never want to hear! I'm two months until I've been a year TTC then we're going to go privately for tests, hopefully will get some answers then if no baby joy beforehand

Fivebyfive2 · 14/03/2019 18:15

Evening ladies! Had some good news today... I passed my final exam which means I now have the AAT level 3 accounting qualification!! 🙂

Might be a bit wobbly tomorrow as it should have been our 12 week scan. But once we're into the weekend we should feel better, as we can almost draw a line under the whole thing, if that makes sense??

Today we went to town and got vitamins for conception, opks and pregnancy tests, ready to try again! Did look at the lube, but wussed out... For now!! Oh, funny bit as well... We also purchased condoms, to use while we wait for my first af, just to be cautious... The lady at the till had a right expression on her face at the combination of items, probably thought we needed a sex Ed lesson!! I can already feel myself being too impatient and wanting to just try straight away. The advice is a bit mixed. We'll see how it goes...

Almost Fri girls, who has weekend plans? Anyone testing?? Xxx

BostonFern · 14/03/2019 20:01

Hi @Pinksunset1 I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, sorry you're in limbo.

Oh no @BabySquid hope you feel better soon.

Hi @TonightJosephine 👋🏻

Congratulations on passing your final exam @Fivebyfive2 , and sending you hugs for tomorrow.

I am so glad it's almost the weekend. So tired and frustrated with work that I ended up crying at work at the end of the day.

7dpo and CD18- trying not to symptom spot today! Does anyone know if increased progesterone in the LP can give you vivid dreams? The last few cycles my dreams always seem quite vivid in the time after ovulation- or maybe that is just symptom spotting and I get it before ovulation too 😂

Pinksunset1 · 14/03/2019 20:16

@starkid @daisiesandpeonies thanks I’m going to phone and ask for different gp. Would you believe my gynae consultant was female and she was less helpful than guy I seen previous. I will keep you both posted thanks for answering me anyway x

@bostonfern thanks for answering me anyways x

@fivebyfive2 well done on passing exam x

Fivebyfive2 · 14/03/2019 20:22

@BostonFern, that sucks about work. Hope tomorrow is better for you. Xx I know quite a few people who have vivid dreams during the tww and certainly a lot of the ladies on the graduate thread have them during pregnancy. But lots of people just get them either way, especially if they've got lots on their mind etc, so would hesitate to say it's a symptom?? Keeping everything crossed for you though!! Xx

BostonFern · 14/03/2019 20:23

Thanks @Fivebyfive2 just did a quick google and apparently it is common in the luteal phase due to the increased progesterone levels.

BabyO1988 · 14/03/2019 20:40

Evening all...
So I carried on tested with the cheap OPKs and still haven't got my positive. Gutted. Seems like it's not going to come anytime soon (or that's what it feels like) the CB test still had a flashing face this morning too.

With my cycles being longer some apps say I will ovulate soon and others say Tuesday. Just playing the waiting game.

Anyone else having luck with their ovulation? X

FlapJackered · 14/03/2019 20:54

@BabySquid sorry you're not feeling so good. Maybe you're coming down with something, might explain the temp as well, unless it could be ovulation? Take it easy while you're feeling rough.

@Pinksunset1 Welcome! I feel your pain. It is so frustrating isn't it. I had a 56 day cycle soon after coming off the pill. It took me about 7 months before mine became regular, although I think that is unusually long! Just to say that they will probably sort themselves out it just can take some time. A good diet (Temporarily coming off sugar, gluten and dairy) and taking inositol was actually what seemed to calm my cycles down. Echoing what the others have said though, I would definitely put some pressure on the docs.

@Fivebyfive2 Congratulations!!! That is so impressive. I hope you're celebrating tonight.
Don't be too hard on yourself if you're sad tomorrow. It must be so tough. I felt the same when it was the day of my booking in appointment and they made an error and rang me to ask why I didn't turn up to my appointment (which I had cancelled) I just burst into tears on the phone to them. 🙁
That is hilarious about your shop! 😂
We have started ttc again but I am a little bit worried we are doing the wrong thing. It's so hard to know what to believe isn't it!

Due to Dtd again tonight but I'm soo tired!! 😩 I need to get my coital stamina back up! I'm not used to this smeping marathon! I am just slightly concerned that it's going to take a while for me to ovulate after the MC which could mean a lottt of sex before that happens.
