MotherOfShihTzus - 33, cycle 14

Jessikka · 11/03/2019 21:32

@MotherOfShihTzus that should work!

I assume that whoever makes the next thread will just take the latest version and add it on :)

KatBeCool · 11/03/2019 21:40

@MotherOfShihTzus welcome. Did you get to see your blood test results or just listened to the Dr? TSH is one thing that gets overlooked because not ttc limit is 4.85 but for you ttc you need it under 2, more often than not Drs ignore it. Have you tried any supplements? I'm not an expert on soy isoflavones but I've seen them work. Do you temp or use opks? There are so many puzzle pieces to this and all can give a clue.

@Jessikka it's normal lol, without going into colorful details.

MotherOfShihTzus · 11/03/2019 21:49

Thanks @KatBeCool
The receptionist said on the phone 'all ok' and that was it - I need a better drs surgery! Should I get an apt to discuss?

I've been using the CB digital opks for last 2 cycles, and temping for 6 weeks. Using conceive plus as a lube, Taking pregnacare but nothing else. Previous cycles I was using internet cheapies and never really understood what I was doing; I didn't pay too much attention due to new house new job and other life stressed!

I was hopeful this cycle but losing that hope as the days go by.

How's your cycle looking?

Lottiepink · 11/03/2019 21:53

Hi all, updated the list, mine was just a month out, as af arrived last night.
Thanks @BabySquid for starting it off 😊

MotherOfShihTzus - 33, cycle 14

starkid · 11/03/2019 21:54

@MotherOfShihTzus - mine said the same, so I just rang back and asked for them printed out, and I collected them later that day :)

PineappleC · 11/03/2019 22:17

Just wondering, those of you who get cramps before AF, how long before AF do they typically arrive? I have had mild cramps since cd19 and it's now cd23 (AF likely in the next day or two). I'm only 9dpo, so doubt it's IB given that it started 4 days ago, plus I've had this in some previous cycles. Just thinking if I cramp from 5dpo do I even have a chance at implantation!?
🤔

orangeloo · 11/03/2019 22:26

@PineappleC I'm sure sometimes I've had mild cramping a week before AF!? Definitely a couple days before each time. That I think is normal I guess. I've read before that what us TTW 'ers think are cramps or symptoms can actually be related to our digestion playing up/slowing down as a result of progesterone increase in the second half of cycle. Which happens when pregnant or not so it's very difficult to tell. Sorry I know that's not exactly helpful lol. But no I don't think what ure experiencing is anything to worry about on it's own.

orangeloo · 11/03/2019 22:30

@PineappleC the progesterone increase plus us paying attention to every. Single. Little. Twinge is the perfect recipe for symptom spotting and overthinking. Which is what makes this two week wait such a fun misleading game. Confused

PineappleC · 11/03/2019 22:41

Thanks @orangeloo that is reassuring 😊 All it says online that I can find is that that is when the uterus starts expelling stuff, so having visions of it chucking out any eggs that come it's way!!😂 But the digestion thing makes loads more sense. Totally true re paying waaay too much attention to it...I've probably always had this but it's never been relevant before!!

KittieKath · 11/03/2019 23:42

Thanks @Lozzlepop - here's hoping for young at heart mums club, eh?! Most of my friends are only just starting out as mums in the past year or so, and it all seems to have been fine for them so I am pretty confident. :-)

Welcome back @MrsAW2018 - I just came back too after a little break. Missed the crazy though!

Congrats @Toka - another success story. This thread is THE thread for us all, I can feel it. Hurrah! :-)

Was it you @Lifesforlivingandloving who was asking about zika? I travel a lot with work, and have zika and malaria concerns. But you know, the risk is so low in most countries, and women give birth there every day without issue. Even the USA is on the zika list! And Meghan Markle travelled to Fuji while pregnant, so if its safe enough for the Royals... then it's safe enough for me!

Oh... and to everyone who was saying they fully believe they are pregnant each month.. me too! I suppose it's like thinking you won the lottery when you just bought a ticket, but the odds are waaaaaay better! I try and enjoy it! And when AF comes, I just glug red wine and drink espressos and eat blue stilton. Every cloud...!

Good luck y'all xx

KatBeCool · 11/03/2019 23:56

@MotherOfShihTzus you an ask them to give you the test results so you can see for yourself. Did they test vitamin D? If not, make sure you take it daily. With lack of sun, there's no way we're getting enough. My this cycle is... FHgh4+&gM7g? =%%! Best way I can describe it. But I'm only CD2 and on a second Clomid cycle.

BabySquid · 12/03/2019 05:41

Thanks for updating guys, I think I'll do like TrashKitten did and just update a neater copy on my phone.
However I may start a new one with just the names from this thread on, as there are LOADS of names on the current one who don't talk anymore.

BostonFern · 12/03/2019 07:00

@Hannah192 , yes in the TWW- 5dpo. I dread to think how much symptom spotting I'll be doing this time next week!

@dottydally congratulations! Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months.

@BabySquid thanks for taking over the stats.

cupcakesandglitter · 12/03/2019 07:37

Hey @MrsAW2018 welcome back ♥️ xx

Lozzlepop · 12/03/2019 08:01

@KittieKath exactly my thinking, I think it’s a pretty unfair term! One of my best friends was quite overweight when she had her little one and caught first time. Sometimes I walk past people who look quite unhealthy with a gaggle of kids and I think “how” ?!

@BostonFern hiya cycle buddy 👋🏻 I’m 5DPO too! ☺️ We can symptom spot together

Jooloo11 · 12/03/2019 08:38

@Lozzlepop - I do the same thing, when I'm on one of my mad googling sessions, desperate for some 'get pregnant quick hack' (spoiler alert - they don't exist!), the majority of advice is just be healthy - healthy weight, healthy diet etc etc. We'll apart from being blinding obvious, that hasn't helped me at all, and the amount of people I know who only seem to eat chips and no vegetables at all who have loads of kids makes me wonder how much 'being health's really had to do with it at all!

I started temping yesterday, just as an attempt to try something different, and also because since coming off the pill 5 months ago my periods are still not back to normal (lighter then they used to be) and that's got me worried that things in general aren't quite right.

MotherOfShihTzus · 12/03/2019 08:59

@KatBeCool that's sucks you had a disappointing (to say the least) cycle. I'm hoping the clomid works for you early!

Does anyone else use the Clearblue opk post ovulation? I'm 10dpo and got a flashing smilie today, but a bfn on an IC. Nipple a little tender, but temp has gradually reduced last 3 days, although still above baseline... am I out?!

Lozzlepop · 12/03/2019 09:15

@RosettaR @Soda123x sorry to hear about AF

@MrsH497 sorry to hear the house payments would be too much, just keep looking and you will find your perfect home!

@dottydally congrats on the BFP

@MrsR16 oooh another cycle buddy i am 5DPO too

@lottiepink sorry to hear about AF hun

Lozzlepop · 12/03/2019 09:20

@Jooloo11 I know, it almost seems like a giant kick in the teeth when you are doing everything possible to be as healthy as possible and some people just look at a penis and WHAM they are pregnant 😒How are you finding temping? It all sounds quite complicated to me but that might just be because i don't know anything about it 🤷🏽‍♀️

KatBeCool · 12/03/2019 09:43

@MotherOfShihTzus you can get a LH rise a day or two before AF. How long is your luteal phase normally? With all the possible things happening after ovulation, anything can mean nothing and everything, our bodies are helpful like that.

MrsH497 · 12/03/2019 09:49

@cupcakesandglitter and @MrsAW2018 welcome back to you both lovely to see you guys!

MotherOfShihTzus · 12/03/2019 10:04

@KatBeCool it's been 11 days these past few months so that would make sense. Expecting AF on thurs on that basis!

FlapJackered · 12/03/2019 10:05

@MrsAW2018 welcome back! So good to see you back on here. Good luck for testing this weekend! 🤞🏻

@RosettaR. @Soda123x sorry for AF ❤️

Welcome @MotherOfShihTzus I was trying for a year before my mc last month. It's really tough when there doesn't seem to be a reason why it's not happening. That's great you have got the ball rolling with the fertility clinic.
I would say you're not out until your temp properly dips. A few grads from this thread had dips and then their temps went up again and they got their bfps 🤞🏻

@BabySquid that's not unusual, mine range from 35.90 to 36.25 in follicular phase. Do you have a thyroid problem as I think that does lower your temp a bit?

@cupcakesandglitter how are you lovely?

If I count the MC as AF I am approaching fertile week now. DH and I haven't Dtd in almost a month because of it all, so it is going to be interesting going from zero to every other day! 🙈
Anyone got any seduction tips for me tonight? He will be coming back late from playing rugby tired, so I am going to have to bring out my A game!

starkid · 12/03/2019 10:09

@FlapJackered - good luck with getting back on the BDing wagon!! Smile
We've just started the fertile week so all steam ahead haha. Luckily I seem to be making a lot of ewcm at the mo (tmi Grin )
