@OhMarnie oh it's looking so promising for you!!! Everything crossed for your FRER in the morning

OhMarnie · 04/03/2019 20:42

DH went out to get a frer but they didn't have any... never mind - I guess this says it all!

BabySquid · 04/03/2019 20:42

Just catching up, gosh this thread goes so fast!
@OhMarnie looking promising but like you, not sure if I trust the ICs.
Welcome @PineappleC and congratulations on your wedding.
@LuckyPenguin I'm going to start my BBT again from tomorrow, not used it since November but I didn't really get on with the OPKs but I'll give them another bash this month, only to use up the 6 or 7 I have left (& to cover all bases).
Today was the last day on my soy iso's so keeping things crossed they work this month, last year I thought I didn't want a December baby but this year I couldn't give a damn if I was due Xmas day!!

Did someone say that a lack of progesterone can be symptomised with very achy boobs?? I've been having achy boobs on and off for two weeks now, af finished Saturday and I still have them. Wondering what I could do to up my progesterone level??

OhMarnie · 04/03/2019 20:42

Oops - forgot the picture!

@OhMarnie Congratulations!!!

TrashKitten10 · 04/03/2019 20:55

@OhMarnie Congratulations! So happy for you ☺️

OP posts:
Lemonysherbet · 04/03/2019 21:06

@jessikka I'm the same as you, I'm here reading it all and loving all the support, but I never have much to say!

@ohmarnie how incredibly exciting!

I'm due af tomorrow and I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot but I've had super sore nips which I don't usually get. I've had cramping for the past few days too so I'm expecting to wake up to the delightful virtues of mother nature. I've told told myself I will test at the weekend if nothing but I'm sure she will appear by then! If she does I'm out for a good 8 months due to going to a Zika destination but that's ok with me. Give me chance to understand my cycle properly without watching for pregnancy symptoms 😂

Hope everyone is well, sending lots of happy Monday vibes

Toka · 04/03/2019 21:15

@ohmarnie omg fab! Congratulations!!
@BabySquid I've found bbt way better than opks - mostly because I find squinting at lines v stressful (would rather contain it end of month rather than during fertile week as well...) but I use an internal thermometer that I wear all night & it uploads onto an app (don't don't have to worry about making mistakes when taking temp/waking up at same time every day etc)

Toka · 04/03/2019 21:17

@hiddenfigure my period took a couple of months to settle down after eight years on the pill.

Am currently 6ish dpo and can feel myself gearing up to symptom spotting... When do you start testing? Assuming I don't have willpower to wait til AF late... 12 dpo??

dottydally · 04/03/2019 21:18

Hi all, can I join? I'm 24 and on cycle 1. Today is day 27 of 34 and I'm finding it hard not to test. Where is my self control?

Hello also to the familiar names on here, @cupcakesandglitter & @FlapJackered - it's been a while!

Just hoping for some company from people who don't think I'm mad! I can't tell anyone in real life and DP is cool as a cucumber about it all. If I hear 'it'll happen when it happens' one more time, steam might actually come out of my ears Angry

BabySquid · 04/03/2019 21:19

@OhMarnie there's no doubting them words. Many congratulations hun. Xx
@Toka that sounds like an awesome piece of equipment, what it is? And how much if you don't mind me asking?!!

KatBeCool · 04/03/2019 21:30

@OhMarnie congratulations! No need for a frer anymore.

@BabySquid that was me who said sore boobs could be a sign of low progesterone. I always had them, and one of the months even after AF showed up. I'm now taking progesterone, and boobs aren't sore whatsoever. So who knows if it means I was low before. My temps are up, so I know it's working. Without taking the actual hormone, vitamin B6/B12 combo might help, plus eating yams. 50 mg of B6 before ovulation, and 100 mg after. And at least some B12 to go with it. If you do start it and decide to stop, make sure to do it slowly, not all at once.

Toka · 04/03/2019 21:34

@BabySquid it's called ovusense. It's designed for women with cycles that are long /difficult to predict etc (and works with pcos too). And good for shift work etc. They have discounts all the time - think they have 20% off at the moment. I paid £150 for the sensor plus 12 month subscription to access app. Definitely been worth it for me because i was struggling with the regular thermometer I'd bought

PeacockingAbout · 04/03/2019 21:40

@DayDreamer1707 you have definitely done better than me! I've done a round of the 7 min workout on Sat eve and walk around the park, and a short yoga routine last night - need to up my game particularly in cardio I think.

@KatBeCool I'd love a link to the brioche recipe if you don't mind? Hoping no news is good news on the temp front, fingers very very crossed for you. Sorry to hear you're struggling with the symptoms, that must be so frustrating. How much longer do you need to take them for, is it til the end of the cycle?

@MrsMcNtobe sorry about the BFN

@LuckyPenguin thanks for the tip, might look that book up!

@TrashKitten10 congratulations that is wonderful news! That's a stonker of a line! Can't believe the cat wasn't interested!

Will you post a stats update? As someone else will need to take over starting new threads now...!

@LokiCat thank you! Did they cancel your scan?

Welcome @Ferii and @PineappleC

@granddesigns thanks for sharing your experience. At least it's made you feel more satisfied that you're doing all you can

@PinkFizz19 our cycles are pretty much identical then! AF still hanging around here but pretty much gone so we can get started. We are doing SMEP so recovery in the TWW is welcome. Hoping we all get them together this month! OBEM is compulsive viewing, it terrifies and intrigues me in equal measure.

@daisiesandpeonies sorry AF has appeared. Hope you are feeling better, enjoy the AF munchies - I absolutely hammered the shelves last week, I vanished for three days in a frenzy of biscuits.

Good luck @aimingfor2019 - last weds would have been quite early if you were due today? Think it's worth testing tomorrow, good luck.

@Jessikka good to see you! Hope you are feeling a bit more alert (or have gone to bed!)

@BostonFern sorry you are down, dreams can be quite unsettling. Sorry to hear your pain has flared up x

@OhMarnie, congratulations!! That's fantastic news - has that test convinced your OH? Wink

Good luck @lemonysherbet

@Toka I tend to start wayyyy to early - around 9/10DPO tbh, as I'll decide that X random thing that always happens is a clear and undeniable symptom. It never is! I think 12DPO is sensible.

Been a massively busy day here (evidenced by starting this post on the tube in at 7am and finishing it on the tube out at 9pm) and I'm just knackered. AF is still hanging around so straight to bed with me when I get home and BD can commence from tomorrow 😴

orangeloo · 04/03/2019 21:58

@OhMarnie massive congratulations!! Great news. This thread is action packed haha.

@dottydally welcome - you've come to the right place!

KatBeCool · 04/03/2019 22:08

@PeacockingAbout I use Paul Hollywood recipe, I have a book but it's a three page long recipe. I found his recipe online, paulhollywood.com/recipes/brioche/, the only difference is that the book recipe uses less ingredients. Also, it says 140 ml milk, but I always have to add more, at least 200 ml with these ratios. Good luck!

Lifesforlivingandloving · 04/03/2019 22:55

Hello 👋 everyone

My partner and I are going to start trying for a baby in the next month or so and I’m super excited!
Last few contraceptive pills to be taken then I’m freeeeee lol
We had to wait longer than we wanted because we went to the Caribbean last year and although we didn’t get many bites or any symptoms we were super worried about Zika so haven’t taken any risks
I am 32 and my partner is 35 and we are trying for our first baby

Is it just me or is anyone anxious about not being able to fall pregnant?!

I look forward to talking to you and sharing our journeys ❤️ X

FlapJackered · 04/03/2019 22:59

@OhMarnie Congratulations!!! 🎉 so exciting! This is such a happy week of bfps for this thread!

@dottydally welcome!! It has been a long time! Very exciting you are now ttc! I hope it happens quickly for you!! 🤞🏻

@daisiesandpeonies great stash 🍫 , I have a similar haul which I have been working my way through the last week.

@KatBeCool 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Welcome @PineappleC 👋🏻

Thanks @BostonFern - I am ok, it's getting easier, and it is helping focusing on ttc again.
I am sorry you're feeling down. I have had dreams like that before that are horrible and feel so real and it takes you a while to realise doesn't it. Very cruel how our mind plays tricks on us. X

@MrsH497 I am ok thanks lovely. Ups and downs at the moment but feeling more positive today. I hope you're ok? What cd are you on now?

@BabySquid I am exactly the same re a Christmas baby! Last year we were going to stop ttc (but ended up forgetting about it!) this year it's going to be smep and lots of prayers for a Christmas baby 😂

@MrsR16 I am feeling positive! 💪🏻 I am back again so you'd best have the tea and biscuits to hand as concise posts are not my forte 😂 I hope you're ok lovely? What cd are you?

MrsH497 · 05/03/2019 01:27

@FlapJackered I'm ok thanks lovely, found last cycle hard with AF being late and getting my hopes up. On CD13, not feeling optimistic this month only DTD yesterday morning (Monday) which according to apps is out of fertile window. I had a peak OPK (clearblue) on Saturday. Oh well what will be will be!!

Everyone tells you to relax and it will happen but it's hard. Shift work doesn't help! Xx

TrashKitten10 · 05/03/2019 05:14

Can't believe all the good news in this thread so far. Fingers crossed so tightly for @KatBeCool and anybody else getting to the post of testing. @PeacockingAbout these are the most up to date stats. I went a few days of struggling to spend too long on my phone so I may have missed some updates, apologies if so.

Congratulations @OhMarnie

I barely slept last night, then when I did I dreamt about getting a positive pregnancy test result then woke up wondered if it was real.

Look a FRER test this morning. It was negative.

My usual cycle is 27-28 days, my longest cycle was 29 days, I'm now on 30days and no sign of AF turning up.

I feel so out of control.

cupcakesandglitter · 05/03/2019 06:57

Hey @dottydally it has been a while!! How are you? Xx
