wow @PineappleC that's amazing your marathon time! well done you :) :) :) sorry to hear about your blister. one of my friends once cycled from London to Paris recently and when she got back she said to me "I have blisters in places one should never have blisters" lol.

hmm oh right maybe i should cut back on the chocolate then... after Easter!! i have found not using my iPad has enriched my day to day life so i am very grateful for that. i think i was a bit ambitious at first trying to give up iPad AND tv. i lasted about 2 weeks then started watching tv again. i think i have realised that i need to barely use my iPad so i have more chance to think, and i need to start having particular days where i dont watch tv, so i can do more useful things around the house, read the bible, play board games and chat to my husband instead of us both mindlessly staring at the tv, etc, etc.

not sure how optimistic i feel about TTC this month... we DTD until CD19, my last cycle being 32 days which is about average for me. i wanted to keep going a few more days but i have been tired and my husband does a lot of things outside the home in the evenings at the moment. we will see what happens anyway.

sorry for the essay... i should be in bed!! good luck with your fertile week!! xxxx

@Chiki Ouch! Yeah I can imagine, and that's actually the reason I gave up spinning classes a few years back!! It has almost gone now, which is a relief! We have been DTD over the last few days, but I've had to get into a weird position so that nothing rubs!! 😂

I don't think I've ov'd yet though, as no fertile CM and no positives on Opks. It's cd14 for me, so this is late. I've normally had a positive opk on cd12 or cd13, so will keep checking and hopefully it happens!

I think it's such a good thing to decrease screen time. Although we think we're relaxing when watching tv and looking at phones it doesn't work out so well for our brains. I really wish I could do the same myself, and am making an effort to read books rather than surf online. My DH thinks I should use the time to meditate to lower stress, I am just not very good at it!!

DTD up to cd19 is pretty good!! I am getting a bit fed up of sex at the moment, and you're right it's really difficult when you're tired and not in the mood! My DH also works strange hours so it's difficult for us during the week, so trying to make the most of this long weekend!!

And Happy Easter!! 😊 Hope you have a lovely celebration and yes definitely enjoy the chocolate this weekend!! Xx

PineappleC · 21/04/2019 10:47

And sorry for the essay too!! 😊

ChikiTIKI · 22/04/2019 08:46

thanks @PineappleC Happy Easter to you too :)

sorry to hear you've not had a positive OPK yet. its irritating when you have a long cycle and dont know when you ovulated. having to DTD so much and not knowing when its ok to stop. its knackering!!

good that your blister is going away now. you're a trooper!!

i am on CD27 now... so 5 days until AF due. my boobs became sore on Wednesday last week though and that used to happen exactly 7 days before AF, before i had my first baby- but it did happen last month too.

wondering whether to test this month or just wait for AF... hmm.....

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 22/04/2019 18:34

I've been feeling a bit stressed and grumpy this afternoon and had some mild cramps this morning. And boobs more sore.

AF probably on the horizon. Definitely don't feel pregnant.

Grumpiness could be due to end of Easter holiday (and I don't like my job) !!

Stocked up on sanitary products earlier anyway.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter weekend xxxx

OP posts:
PineappleC · 23/04/2019 09:16

@Chiki you never know! Everyone keeps saying that AF symptoms and pregnant symptoms are similar, especially if cramps are 5 days before AF due. But I understand in not getting hopes up...every month my body does something very slightly differently and I allow myself to hope. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway 😊🤞

Had a very strong positive opk yesterday afternoon, which was cd15. When I got my AF last time it was at 10pm at night, which I counted as cd1 so I guess it's really only a day or so late. Anyway I think both me and DH are relieved that we get a break from sex soon! We're planning on tonight and tomorrow, and that's it!

I totally feel the same about the end of the long weekend. My job is highly stressful as I manage a department in my company and work with idiots, so I'm starting to resent it a bit and actually have been thinking for a while about going self employed. At least it is only a 4 day week now though 😊xx

ChikiTIKI · 23/04/2019 22:07

Good news about the positive OPK @PineappleC !! Fingers crossed for you!

Yeah I don't want to get optimistic... But another day has passed where AF hasn't arrived so I can at least be happy with that! Xxxx

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 25/04/2019 06:29

My boobs have become less sore today- usually happens right before AF arrives for me. Probably not my month this month :( xxx

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 26/04/2019 07:15

AF here... Maybe next time! Xxx

OP posts:
PineappleC · 27/04/2019 12:33

Aww sorry to hear that @Chikitiki xxx
I think mine is also on the cards this month - I'm only 4dpo but getting the same dull cramps as I usually do around cd20. Obviously cd20 is normally about 7dpo for me, and I ov'd late this cycle, but I guess my progesterone levels don't really care about that! I wasn't expecting much from this month because of the marathon, but will just carry on being sensible until if/when AF arrives!

ChikiTIKI · 27/04/2019 13:23

Thanks @PineappleC

Sorry you're feeling like you will be in the same boat! I will keep my fingers crossed for you anyway. I've been baking this morning but will try to reduce sugar this month. I will let my husband eat my crispie cakes xxx

Hey ladies,
Hope you're all well? I've stopped getting any notifications for the thread.
I'm CD13, due to O tomorrow I think. I've ditched the thermometer this cycle rather unintentionally and not bothered with opks either! So I have no idea when/if I've ovulated yet, but I'm ok with that.

Congratulations on your marathon time @PineappleC! That's incredible x

ChikiTIKI · 30/04/2019 19:38

hi @LondonKez !

i stopped with OPKs a month or two ago (I can't remember now) and feel a lot less stressed that way. good luck with your fertile week.

i am on CD5. 9 months now since we started TTC. think it will be a bit of a shock if anything happens now. i think i am more relaxed because i am not expecting it to happen any more.

OP posts:
LondonKez · 01/05/2019 17:39

Ah, I feel exactly the same @chikitiki. It's 10 cycles officially tracking, but we've been ttc since Jan last year. We were meant to go to thr gp, but we're hoping to move soon and our current nhs trust doesn't offer much support or treatment for fertility so we're going to wait until the summer.

At least you know your body can do this. Your time will come x

ChikiTIKI · 01/05/2019 19:02

@LondonKez hopefully you won't need to see the GP by the time you move :) sometimes in life everything happens at one so maybe it will be new home new baby for you.

i am trying not to let my mind be in a rush with TTC now. when i am pregnant again, if it all works out, it will probably be the last time so i don't want to wish it away. whenever it happens will become the right time.

i am on CD6 now. got a day off tomorrow :) hoping it will help me recover from work stress and get back in to the TTC/DTD mindset.

hope you're all having a good week. i didnt realise it was a bank holiday on Monday! xxx

OP posts:
PineappleC · 03/05/2019 19:01

Happy friday ladies!

@Chiki I am finding it so hard to reduce sugar- I feel like desserts are an important part of every meal 😊 Now that I'm running less ive reduced it a tiny bit, but so hard!

@Londonkez good to hear from you! And thank you! I was aiming for sub-3.45 so glad to have got there, and to be relaxing!! That's a shame about your current NHS trust - I haven't even found out about mine so I should do that!

Currently on cd26. Longer cycle than usual for me, but then I ovulated late so that was expected. I have the pre AF cramps and spotting so only a matter of time 🤷‍♀️ Oh well, gin tonight!! 😁xx

ChikiTIKI · 03/05/2019 19:32

I am on the wine too tonight @PineappleC
It's not over til the red lady sings.

Bank holiday baby dust to all xxxxx

OP posts:
PineappleC · 05/05/2019 09:49

@ChikiTiki I guess that is the one good thing about AF...a few guilt free drinks!!😊

Well still no AF for me. It's cd28 and this is the first time I have actually reached cd28!! I ovulated late this month though so not getting too excited...I'm still actually only 12dpo. That in itself is a good thing though as my luteal phase is normally around 10 days. I don't really feel any symptoms of anything which is allowing me a tiny bit of (misguided) hope!!

ChikiTIKI · 06/05/2019 11:13

Sounds promising either way!! Hopefully it's a BFP though xxxx

OP posts:
PineappleC · 06/05/2019 13:58

Thanks @Chiki alas AF turned up yesterday afternoon, so back to cd2 today...again!! It doesn't get any easier does it! xx

ChikiTIKI · 06/05/2019 22:33

Oh no. I'm sorry @PineappleC xxxx

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 09/05/2019 21:20

Think I might be ovulating... CD14 today. Had ewcm the last few days getting more each day. This evening I noticed it was a very slightly orangey colour... Ovulation spotting maybe? If my cycle ends up being 30-32 days then it might be too early to be ovulation yet.

How is everyone doing? It's supposed to be nice weather next week :) Xxx

OP posts:
LondonKez · 15/05/2019 18:58

How are you getting on @ChikiTIKI?

Sorry about af @PineappleC. How are you?

I'm CD28. Didn't temp or use OPKs so not sure when af is due, but I normally have 27 day cycles, so due any time now. Had some spotting after dtd the last 2 days so just a waiting game for me! Xx

ChikiTIKI · 16/05/2019 07:22

Hi @LondonKez hoping it's going to be a BFP for you.

We dtd up until very end of CD17 I think. Of a probably 30 ish day cycle. So not great... Could have done better lol. On a very active busy holiday with extended family right now though and haven't wanted to dtd while here.

So probably not my month but we never know... I have been saying things to myself like "it was pretty much CD18" and "sperm lives a while" etc etc!! We were dtd while I had lots of ewcm and when we finished for this month it was watery. Just a waiting game now I suppose. I will definitely be surprised if it's a BFP this month.

Good luck as AF/BFP approaches... Hoping it's the latter for you!! Xxxx

How's it going @LondonKez ? Has AF stayed away?

I am on CD 25 today
