Had a few "symptoms" but won't be convinced by anything now, especially after the very convincing symptoms that turned out to be me just fighting off the chickenpox virus.

OP posts:
LondonKez · 20/05/2019 13:34

Unfortunately she came 2 days later than normal just to taunt me! I'm going to do another cycle without charting as apart from the last few days, it did wonders for my mental health. I'm now CD4.

Oh no! You've had chickenpox? How are you feeling? Good luck @chikitiki, I have everything crossed for you x

ChikiTIKI · 20/05/2019 18:31

Sorry to hear that @LondonKez however I am glad to hear you've found it less stressful to reduce the charting- double win- less effort and less stress. I feel the same and don't use an app anymore.

I didn't have chickenpox but my daughter did and since I am already immune I think my body was fighting off the virus I was exposed to. For the week leading up to her spots appearing I felt SO sick. I was 100% convinced I was pregnant. I was having to eat particular sweets and using coping mechanisms for the nausea to get through the meetings etc, and not telling anyone at work etc etc. Then after the spots appears on DD, my AF came. It was so annoying.

Probably good that I didn't get pregnant while exposed to the virus? I don't know, but it made me think that any symptom spotting is a waste of time. I have been slightly short of breath which is a big sign for me however I have a big ulcer type thing on one of my tonsils so it's probably just a very mild infection or something... So I think today is CD25. Last cycle was 30 days. Probably not worth even considering testing for at least another week, if I get that far.

Boobs are sore which usually happens exactly 7 days before AF but they've probably been sore for 5 days now. So AF may well arrive early.

Wondering if I should do anything different next cycle... More DTD probably. Nothing else is probably likely to work!

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 22/05/2019 06:35

Boobs slightly less sore today, and mild cramps yesterday. Predicting AF tomorrow :(

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 25/05/2019 06:31

not sure if anyone is there, but im on CD30 today. had the odd light cramp here and there but nothing consistent or strong. boobs hurt but in the nipple area as apposed to normally before AF they hurt at the sides.

trying not to get excited due to not DTD enough this month.... if no AF by tomorrow i will be highly suspicious i think though!

hope everyone is doing alright. enjoy the bank holiday!! xxxx

PineappleC · 26/05/2019 22:06

Hi @Chiki that sounds pretty positive! Any sign of AF yet today? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you 😊

Cd22 for me today - 9dpo, and pretty sure AF is on its way early. I'm due Tues/Weds but have spotting and cramps which are getting heavier as today goes on 😥

ChikiTIKI · 27/05/2019 17:40

oh dear sorry to hear that @PineappleC

yeha AF came yesterday, on time.

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 12/06/2019 17:43

How's it going @PineappleC ?

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 12/06/2019 17:45

And how are you @LondonKez ?

I am on cycle day 18 today of probably 30 days. On a new DTD regime. Trying to keep going much later this cycle incase I ovulate much later than I think. Will see if it works....!

OP posts:
LondonKez · 13/06/2019 07:02

Hi @ChikiTIKI lovely to hear from you. I think CD1 might be today unfortunately. The tell tale cramps have begun! We're now at 18 months, so I'm all out of hope. I'm struggling with that a bit, but I have a plan which keeps me focused. How are you? How's the new regime?

I hope everyone else is ok and are so quiet because you're celebrating your bfps with loved ones xxx

ChikiTIKI · 13/06/2019 16:48

Oh dear I'm sorry to hear that @LondonKez and sorry you're having a bad time of it.

If I have a bfn this month I will be one year ttc. Wasn't really expecting this since with my DD I got pregnant the first month. I don't know what to think of it really...

OP posts:
PineappleC · 19/06/2019 17:38

Hey ladies, im still here! Just trying to focus on TTC a bit less, as felt it was taking over me quite a bit!

Anyway cd24 today, soon to be cd1 as normal pre-AF spotting already here. So I went to the docs today and he's sending me for blood tests which is good! First one in a couple of days and then next one at cd17!

How are you both doing? Xx

LondonKez · 20/06/2019 10:37

Hey ladies, I'm also trying not to focus too much anymore. I do love hearing from you though, so do keep posting as I like to keep up with how you're getting on. I'm CD7 and off on holiday today so will be relaxed and sunning myself during fw. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, we have options but we've finally started talking about those so I'm feeling pretty good.

Great news that things are moving along with your doctor @PineappleC. Hope you get some answers! How are you @ChikiTIKI? Xx

ChikiTIKI · 22/06/2019 20:10

Sorry to hear AF came @PineappleC I hope the tests are helpful.

Hope you're having a great holiday @LondonKez I am just back from holiday too :)

I really relaxed on holiday and had the odd glass of wine, cured meats, prawns, etc whereas usually I avoid those things just in case during the TWW.

Trying to be more chilled about things and not really expecting to be pregnant any time soon. Although I've had loads of weird vivid dreams every night for the last week. AF due in Tuesday I think xxxx

ChikiTIKI · 26/06/2019 19:09

Still no AF! I am flipping between thinking of course I am pregnant, to then thinking of course I'm not. Trying to hold off on testing as long as I can!

How can I make it so this thread appears in my "I'm on" list again? I can never find it! I have to scroll through the Conception board...!

OP posts:
LondonKez · 28/06/2019 09:22

Eeek! @ChikiTIKI, I really hope this is it for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm back from holiday 😔 I think I'm 2DPO but actually have no idea as I've stopped all tracking. Just a guess based on CM!

I have no idea about the notifications. The same thing happened to me which is why I lost this thread for so long. It did suddenly come back again, so maybe it'll do the same for you? Xx

ChikiTIKI · 30/06/2019 18:39

I found the thread again in my "watching" list.

AF arrived on Thursday evening (so I counted it as Friday being CD1).

How was your holiday? Xxxx

ChikiTIKI · 16/07/2019 20:01

How's everyone doing?
I think I'm on CD19. Recently accepted a role in another department at work. Feeling a bit worried about how people will react if I end up being pregnant soon...!

OP posts:
LondonKez · 17/07/2019 08:03

Hey @ChikiTIKI lovely to hear from you!
I am CD11. All good here, in the depths of wedding planning. Something we had been delaying 'just in case', but decided to have something exciting to look forward to.

Don't worry about the job! Loads of people where I work come back from mat leave already pregnant with their next, so only come back for 5-6 months before going off again. Don't let ttc dictate your life choices - something I am slowly learning/coming to terms with myself xx

ChikiTIKI · 17/07/2019 17:21

@LondonKez that's exciting!! Wedding planning!!! Glad to hear you're doing well.

You're right, I can't put life on hold and I have been desperate to move departments. This opportunity won't come up again.

Had loads of pains low down in my pelvis on the left side today and a few yesterday too. Must be ovulation pain I suppose. I was on holiday without DH last week when we would usually be DTD a lot but I think we run out of steam too soon so maybe this will be the month, DTD a bit later. We would normally have given up by now for the month.

Hi ladies 👋👋

I really took it hard when I had the chemical pregnancy in February. I then ended up hurting my back at work and I comforted myself with bread and chocolate. I eneeded up putting back on 12 of the 18lbs I lost. I started attending reflexology in April and I feel so so much better. I have lost 10lbs and I feel like I have a fresh start all over again. I ordered the Ava bracelet and it arrived last Friday. It was expensive but I feel so much more relaxed since I began using it... It is so easy and is just one less thing to worry about.

Carastarchild · 22/07/2019 18:23

How is everyone else doing? I am currently cd 9.

I was hoping to see some good news when I logged back in... Looks like we are all still in the same boat, but we will get there. I have no doubt of that 💜

ChikiTIKI · 23/07/2019 18:48

Hi @Carastarchild !! I'm so glad you're back and that you're alright. Sorry to hear you have had a rough time but that's great that you're doing really well again. I have really missed you but didn't want to bother you, I thought you would come back when you're ready :)

My AF is due next week either late on Monday or sometime on Tuesday. Trying not to symptom spot as it's useless to me I think! Feeling fairly optimistic though.

Please let me know how the bracelet works out for you. I've seen adverts for it but never really looked in to it. I hope it works really well! Xxxx

Just got this on cd 10 😲 Looks like I'm about to ovulate 😲😲😲 I usually don't ovulate so early 🤔 I don't know what to think 🤷‍♀️

Fx for you @ChikiTIKi! I know symptom spotting is turturous... The TWW is definitely tough! Fx you get good news 💜 I only started using the Ava bracelet on Friday, so it is early days. I definitely find it way more convenient than temping. I just log the temps into FF. I changed the settings to ovulation sensor, so it knows that I am using the bracelet instead of a thermometer.
