I would do a meetup but I’m very far away from London. If I get pregnant, I may hop a plane Grin

Russkispy · 07/03/2019 19:53

@KristieP2018 not if but when you get pregnant ! Smile

Hobbes39 · 07/03/2019 20:00

Thank you all for your positive thoughts - it really does help having you all as support, I'm so grateful! X

BooseysMom · 07/03/2019 21:01

Ladies, i've just been reading some very interesting stories on this thread...Do I really need contraception at my age?.
Sorry I can't copy the link. It's on today's chat pages. Lots of amazing over 40 and even over 50 conceptions and many natural too!

mellongoose · 07/03/2019 21:41

I read that thread, @BooseysMom !!

minime2017 · 07/03/2019 21:48

Must get a read Booseys. Af here again. Have stocked up on opks and ready to give it another go this month, half hearted but will give it another shot. A year since bfp, almost a year since mc. All in all not feeling very optimistic.

Chatbash72 · 07/03/2019 22:06

I read that thread too.. very interesting
Ooh @minime2017 me too.. passed my little bean on 10th March last year.. had a cp in June.. sending hugs.. af arrived this eve 3 days late.. xx

Cleozeta · 08/03/2019 07:48

Minime - it's been a year since my bfp too, mmc in may. I think it's time we had another chance, don't you?

Rose68 · 08/03/2019 08:04

Good luck today @Russkispy x

KristieP2018 · 08/03/2019 08:08

Good luck @russkispy. And yes WHEN not if I get pregnant! Scotland is just a bit too far for a drive to London Grin

Lexilooo · 08/03/2019 08:15

Wow that is an interesting thread!

Interesting and reassuring, just what I needed, as I was talking to my mum last night mentioned a friend having menopause symptoms at 40 and that I thought it was early she then proceeded to regale me with tales of people she knows who had early menopause 😫

Russkispy · 08/03/2019 08:32

Which thread are you talking about and where do find it?

Hobbes39 · 08/03/2019 08:38

If I'm honest i saw that thread and it slightly annoyed me...People who have decided not to have ANY form of protection when they are my age as they think it's pointless... if I wasn't pregnant at the moment, I'd want to shout at them!
I understand the significantly older ladies on there (50+) feeling fed up using contraception, but while they are having periods there is a v real risk of getting pregnant but miscarrying - which having been through too many times now, I shall def still use contraception until my periods stop once we decide our family is complete!

Oh yeah some of the posters were just a bit thick and irresponsible really but a couple of stories of pregnancies in the mother's 50s!!

Russkispy · 08/03/2019 09:06

@Hobbes39 thank you. Some of those ladies are a but ignorant.p, I must say. Oh well, good luck to them!

Chatbash72 · 08/03/2019 11:45

I thought the late pregnancy tales move but yes a couple of ladies very blasé.. when so many of us aren't using contraception and desperately want to be pregnant

BooseysMom · 08/03/2019 12:19

Minime2017... Sorry to hear AF is with you.

I thought that about that thread too tbh. . That there were some naive posters on there...but then I find myself hurtling towards 50 myself and not using contraception but very unsure that our family is complete with just one DC. So I can't bring myself to use contraception as for one the side effects for me are awful but also two.. I still feel deep down that i want it to happen. I know as I head towards the Big 50 the risk of mc is so high and I really am terrified now of ttc. Just so difficult to get right I tend to leave it in the lap of the lap of the gods.

Love to all x

BooseysMom · 08/03/2019 12:21

Sorry, i also wanted to send you lots of luck for today @Russkispy x

Russkispy · 08/03/2019 15:58

@BooseysMom thank you!
Had egg collection this morning. 10 follicles collected out 15 as the rest were too small. So far 1 follicle was empty. So have 9 in total to see how they develop in the next couple of days and ET is on Wednesday. And hopefully there will be embryos to freeze and doc wants to do genetic testing on them. We agreed. Now it's waiting time

Rose68 · 08/03/2019 16:02

@Russkispy that sounds good! FX for you x

Hobbes39 · 08/03/2019 16:22
