Yammers thread 10!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

I'm trying to stay positive. I've got really sore boobs this evening and I'm hoping it's ovulation related. Will see what my temps are doing tomorrow.

@dragonmummy17 It has been! I never seem to just have straight forward cycles! How's things with you? Did you manage to speak to your GP about the referral?

@GlassSuppers I had treatment for my PCOS second time around and this time (metformin and blood tests) and was going to be given clomid again second time (had it for DS1).
I think it can depend on your area as they all have different thresholds for treatments but basic testing should be possible and probably access to cheaper treatments. It's just things like IVF that are unlikely to be funded.

@NoseringGirl definitely, he's learning 😩 Sore boobs is a good sign, fingers crossed! I hope your body just does it's thing and just keeps ovulating as normal now x

How does everyone deal with the jealousy? I keep thinking about seeing pregnancy announcement pictures and stuff and I just don't feel happy, I feel super jealous and bitter about it. Don't know how to get over it 🤷🏻‍♀️

@NoseringGirl fingers crossed for temps tomorrow. I didn't get chance to call the GP today so it will have to wait until Monday

@cupcakesandglitter I find a good cry helps! I find it really hard too and DH often gets the worst of my bitter ttc rages! Oh and all the chocolate too which means I am putting on weight which makes me feel even more rubbish (sorry as none of that is very helpful!)

@cupcakesandglitter I'm honestly not sure. That moment a baby bomb hits is awful. I just let myself feel it. I think it's worse if you try to guilt yourself out of it or tell yourself you should feel completely happy.
Almost all my closest female friends were pregnant during the time we were trying for DS1. I used to get anxiety going on Facebook and there were constantly announcements and scan photos.
Two of my closest friends have just started TTC now and I'm bracing myself because I know they'll be pregnant soon.
I try to remember it's not their baby I want but my own. It's hard though. Talking it through in places like this with people who understand helps I think.

@dragonmummy17 @NoseringGirl thankyou, that definitely helps. I feel my blood boiling you know? I'm not an angry person but I feel so annoyed!! It's so unfair. I'm actually quite sad that a lot of the people that started off TTC at the same time in other threads have given birth already, and I'm not even pregnant. Thankful to have you ladies here - it's shit were in the same boat and you all understand but I'm glad we all understand the situation 😩

I know what you mean about the pregnancy announcements too. My sister has had her baby in the time I've been TTC and my best friend has just announced that she's pregnant with baby number 5.

So unfair and so painful. It makes me feel really bitter and then guilty for feeling bitter.

CD19. Temps aren't rising so no ovulation. A friend just told me she's pregnant. Feeling quite sorry for myself!

Ah sorry @NoseringGirl hopefully you ov soon. Shit about your friend announcing pregnancy, definitely allowed to feel sorry for yourself 🍷 I went to a party yesterday and someone bought their baby (not sure why, but not my party) and I couldn't handle it. Definitely a shitty feeling. I'm looking at maybe getting myself a new car wahooooo 😂

@NoseringGirl have one for me too - I've stopped drinking 😂😩 was thinking a VW Tiguan, but then realised were remortgaging end of this year (two years has flown by!!!) so I'll wait until next year... think I'm just trying to fill the void tbh 😂😩

@cupcakesandglitter I'll definitely have an extra for you. Am off to a spa for the night so it'll be nice to distract myself. Hope you can find something to focus on too. I know exactly what you mean, it can be all consuming. It's good to have something else to focus on!

@NoseringGirl ooh I'm jealous! You know I've not allowed myself to go to a spa since TTC. I might actually book one as a big FU to fertility 😂 enjoy it, and relax!! X

My very fertile friend has just told me she's considering another baby 💔 I love her and her beautiful girls but I think it's going to be hard when she tells me she's pregnant in a month or so (we're very close so I get a picture of the stick) x

@impatientmammy it's so tough when that happens. I'm going through similar, my close friend has just announced pregnancy number 5
It's hard to be happy for the same person over and over again when it's not happening for us.

Ahhh glass slippers 😩 I'm trying to think posative and think if I get pregnant soon our babies will be close. We met because our preschoolers are the same age. Then she has a one year old as well. When she first told me though my gut was like well she'll be pregnant by next month 🙈 x

@impatientmammy I feel your pain! My best friend has just gone off birth control. There's three of us from our group TTC at the moment and I'm fully aware I'll be the last to manage it if at all!

I've been messing about with the different ovulation detectors on Fertility Friend today. One has no ovulation, one has me at 8DPO and the other at 4DPO. I've also just had a load of EWCM but a negative OPK

@GlassSuppers @impatientmammy oh god, sorry to hear you have the same issue too 😩 I was talking to a friend who knows all about our troubles recently, and she ever so nonchalantly said she didn't care if she got pregnant or not now so can't be bothered sorting her contraception (her current form is past it's use date!!) - bearing in mind her and her partner are breaking up every other week, smoke weed, are super unhealthy and do not take anything seriously. I was so upset, why do I get the feeling it's gonna happen ASAP for them! Felt like it was a bit insensitive tbh 😩

@NoseringGirl I'm glad you relaxed and enjoyed it, I definitely might do it too. If you've had EWCM maybe you are about to ov? I can get EWCM a couple of days before ov day, but also last month I had a positive OPK and no EWCM at all so who knows... DTD anyway? 😂😅

@cupcakesandglitter I did 😅 I think having clear signs of ovulation that all match up is far too much to ask of my body!

God I am fucked off with all this. FF is saying I ovulated ok Monday, day 12, after months of data that says I ovulate on day 17/18.

Has anybody had that kind of crazy data?! Of course we did not have sex on Monday, Monday I was in a foul, weepy mood. I thought we were supposed to be in a GREAT mood when we ovulated???

Saw acupuncturist yesterday, she didn't say anything about already having two temps above base line. My temps have been lower this month than same time last month. Maybe there is still hope? Maybe I am going slowly mad with all this?

Seriously, fed up. Want my life back.

@NotMaryWhitehouse ah sorry, that sucks. Whenever I have ovulated I don't think I'm necessarily in a better mood, just horny - but my ov date has ranged quite a bit as I'm not regular so I'm not sure if I can help, but it can be (from what I've read) common to ov earlier/later than normal... did you DTD before Monday? X

@NotMaryWhitehouse I can relate to that, it's very frustrating! Can you screenshot your chart and post it?

My temp dipped a little this morning and I've got lower back pain so wondering if AF is about to make an appearance? My chart still isn't very clear though.
