Yammers thread 10!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@NoseringGirl I completely get it, but fingers crossed your body has had a kick up the arse and starts ovulating regularly again! Nothing here, no spotting, no more positive OPKs or anything either. Just waiting on AF annoyingly 😂

dragonmummy17 · 03/06/2019 21:32

@cupcakesandglitter that sounds like a very frustrating cycle
@NoseringGirl fingers crossed for ovulation and that your body has sorted itself out a bit

I had a text from the GP today to say all my results were normal and to contact them once we have DHs SA results so they can do the referral. I'm pleased everything is normal but I was also hoping that there might be a quick and easy fix if that makes sense?!

cupcakesandglitter · 04/06/2019 11:24

@dragonmummy17 I feel the same, I feel like if everything's normal it makes it easy to just be brushed off and to try even longer! At the same time, it is good that you're results were good, make sure you get the numbers from them x

No FP for me yet. Had EWCM last night and then creamy/sticky cm this morning... still no pre-AF spotting and I never usually get this much cm either. Irritating.

Girls who have Facebook this is a really refreshingly honest ttc video. It's pretty emosh but makes you feel less alone with it. (It's not me don't want to confuse anyone). Side note my periods officially late 🤞 x

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 23:32

@impatientmammy I'm gonna give that a watch tomorrow! When are you testing? AF is late for me too. CD37 now 🤷🏻‍♀️

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 06:55

@cupcakesandglitter have you tested since that bfn? We're in butlins atm then we're staying with my parents for a bit as they live the opposite side of the country to us. They know I'm trying but I'll wait a couple of days till I feel pretty sure I'm normally pretty regular 26 days but I have had the odd longer cycles up to 34 days. No idea when I ovulated but we've hardly BDd this month at all. I feel like it's to good to be true tbh x

cupcakesandglitter · 07/06/2019 09:23

I think testing in a few days is a good idea @impatientmammy hope you're enjoying your time away. I tested this morning and nothing but a stupid stark BFN with a shitty white indent line fucking me off this morning. I feel like I'm never going to see a positive FRER and I've seen so many people get theirs now that I can imagine where the line should be. So irritating.

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 11:00

I know what you mean @cupcakesandglitter I was really down about it this cycle I have so many tests at home and didn't even bring them. I convince myself every month I'm pregnant then it's so disappointing. I'd rather a period than a bfn. And the clearblue ads are all over now you tube face book telly 💔 I hope your ok xx

cupcakesandglitter · 07/06/2019 11:11

@impatientmammy same here, at least then we actually have an answer. I'm glad it's not just me, I've been noticing them everywhere! Thought maybe it was because we're TTC but clearly not 😩 I'll be okay, just need a rant I guess. Feel like going somewhere secluded and just screaming and getting it all out. Hope you are too 😩 xx

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 11:47

To be tottally honest @cupcakesandglitter I've convinced myself I'm pregnant again. I've bought a test to potentially bring me back down to earth but I just grabbed a pound one as I feel like I've waisted enough money so I'm obviously only going to believe it if it tells me I'm pregnant 😂🙄 x

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 12:05

It's looking pretty negative x

cupcakesandglitter · 07/06/2019 12:07

@impatientmammy sorry for the BFN 😩 but I'm glad you only bought a cheapie, FRERs are so easy to over analyse - my plan is to wait another week or so, but given I had a positive OPK a week ago now I think I just ovulated two weeks late. Yay 🎉. Are you going to try hold off on testing? X

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 12:51

Def a negative here. Af will probs arrive in the next couple of days x

cupcakesandglitter · 07/06/2019 13:04

Ah that's shit @impatientmammy sorry 😩

cupcakesandglitter · 07/06/2019 13:04

Enjoy the rest of your holiday though!!! X

NoseringGirl · 07/06/2019 18:13

@impatientmammy sorry for the BFN. Hope you still manage to enjoy the rest of your holiday!

@cupcakesandglitter sorry you've been getting BFNs too! Not knowing what's happening with your cycle or when it's going to end is very frustrating!

impatientmammy · 07/06/2019 18:47

Thanks girls I can't get that maybe it was just to early feeling to shake. You feeling the same @cupcakesandglitter ?
How's your cycle going @NoseringGirl ? X

NoseringGirl · 07/06/2019 19:01

I'm CD9 and my temps are quite low. I was doing that cycle comparison thing on fertility friend and it's identical to a previous ovulatory cycle. Gives me hope Grin
Hope that BFP is just around the corner for both of you!

impatientmammy · 08/06/2019 09:05

This is my longest cycle since October and my cervix is high and firm (I don't know open or closed but I can hardly reach it anyway. Going to get another test today and use FMU tomorrow x

NotMaryWhitehouse · 08/06/2019 13:48

@NoseringGirl 🤞🏻 for you

dragonmummy17 · 08/06/2019 21:11

@cupcakesandglitter sorry for the bfn and the frustrating cycle. Sounds very stressful
@impatientmammy good luck for the morning
@NoseringGirl fingers crossed for an ovulatory cycle
I'm cd1 again. 22 days this time. Still waiting for DHs SA results as he forgot to call the GP on Friday to chase it.

NoseringGirl · 08/06/2019 21:23

@impatientmammy I hope it's a good sign for you, good luck with the test!

@NotMaryWhitehouse thanks! How's things with you?

@dragonmummy17 sorry for AF, hope your DH gets those SA results soon!

SuzieQ10 · 08/06/2019 22:06

Hi all. I haven't posted since our first Dr apt on 20th May. It's been a whole year of ttc. Went for the blood test as recommended last week. Have another booked for Monday. First bloods came back with something and Dr has booked me in to see him in 2weeks
However. I've just done a test and BFP!!! Oh sweet Jesus I can barely believe my eyes!! Please please stay bfp.
Thank you so much ladies for your support this far along the journey. I read this thread and you are all wonderful.

12 months, cycle 13. Age 29.
Hoping and praying it sticks.

impatientmammy · 08/06/2019 22:52

Omg @SuzieQ10 that's amazing !!! Congratulations!!! Hope you have a happy healthy 9 months xx

impatientmammy · 09/06/2019 06:51
