Hey ladies, I've been stalking again 😂 I never know what to say, but finally I can weigh in with something useful. To take an opk at work you just need a cardigan with big pockets 😉

Also I bought some plastic cups from the pound shop and pee in these at home, works wonders!

Took my first opk today ever. Very confused but hoping with practice I'll get what is going on!!

@DayDreamer1707 no positive! Looks like I've possibly missed it as it's a lot lighter than yesterday... I'm hoping I've just missed it anyway haha! So I'll be jumping on DH tonight anyway (just in case) 😂

@Lemonysherbet welcome!! Good point about big cardigan with pockets... I just don't have one! 🙈

@19Bee2 did you tell your GP that you're ttc and don't have the luxury of waiting for three months? She took at least some sort of an oath and dismissing concerns is not ok. Even a 40 day cycle isn't normal and if you're sure you're not ovulating, what's waiting for three months going to do? Your GP is making me mad and I haven't even started taking my hormones yet. Are you able to see someone privately?

@thumper59 don't expect a positive opk until you're about to ovulate. The line can go literally from barely there to very dark in less than a day. Plus Ovia is always off anyway. Sometimes it'd tell me that my most fertile day is like four days before I ovulate. Do you get ewcm? They say the day you get the most of it and it's the clearest, that's when you're most fertile.

Hi everyone, I've been off this page for a little while as it's been an absolutely manic few weeks with work etc! Nice to see a recent bfp congrats @Nextchapter19 !
Anyway I am so silly and I took a hpt (just a standard first response not even an early detection one) and I am only 7-8 dpo 🙄🙄🙄🙄 However due to recent cycle lengths that is only about 2-3 days before my period is due. There is a line there... when I took the test the timings were a bit of a blur but I am almost certain I saw it there

Hey girls 🙂 currently on cycle 6 (maybe 7) 🤦🏻‍♀️ And CD7 and I’ve been having a think about OPKs, previously I’ve been doing them and when I think I’ve got a positive we’ll DTD for another day or 2 but I’m wondering if this is where I’m going wrong... should I do OPK until I get a positive and then keep testing for days after til it goes faint and keep DTD til then?

@MrsMcNtobe my OB told me start on CD 10, every other day. He didn't quite say when to end it, but I'd say two days after you ovulate. Always calculate worst case scenario - you ovulate 36 hours after the LH surge, ovulation isn't instant, egg lives 12-24 hours, so after your positive opk, still dtd for three more days (wherever every other day falls). And don't make a mistake (like me two cycles ago) that "almost positive" is a positive. Keep testing until you get a full positive and it can easily go faint after that "almost positive" and take another couple of days.

Starting Clomid this evening. Kind of scared of how much one little pill can do.

Can I ask some for some help from experienced charters?

I've been temping at the same time every day bar one day... that day I forgot to set an alarm and took it anyway two hours late so discarded it.!

My question is my temps seem quite high? Does heart rate affect temps? I find that when my alarm startled me at 4:50am it makes my heart race. Could that contribute to my increasingly high temps? Or turning around to reach my phone?

I only want to temp to confirm ovulation so I'm happy to stop it after I've had confirmation.

Something doesn't seem right.

CD13 and not totally sure when or if I've ovulated yet as I don't temp so don't know if im DPO yet 🤷🏼‍♀️. I've attached my OPKs for people to also see the difference in mine too. I'm still on with the SMEP but I'm thinking yesterday is the day I ovulated as I did have slight pains 🤔. Wasn't feel very positive last night, not sure why. So I pulled my rubber gloves in and started Hinching the house x

Yes I read that too... if they stay high and don't drop off then thy means progesterone is sticking around 🤞

But I'm worried mine seem falsely high if that makes sense. If me turning around and having a racing heart falsifies then charting will be no good to me.

@thumper59 you're definitely within reason to want the house finished! Enjoy the DIY Saturday. Bugger about the gym though! I do think the Ovia FW is quite long - I think the only real solution as you say is to keep on DTD!

I think I'm going to start OPKs tomorrow, CD10 - not got a cardigan with big pockets sorted!! So Saturday it is. And I've remembered some pound shop shot glasses which certainly ain't being used for owt boozy so are going to be repurposed!

Hoping the extra data will help me understand my CM as well, as I've never really got how to decipher it! I used to get really distinct ovulation pains but not any more and of course I didn't think too track them at the time!

I might delete Flo if it's not getting great reviews, not in love with the interface. Might try Glow if you ladies are liking it, especially for the OPK positive info!

@PeacockingAbout if you download Glow try not to become as addicted to the boards as I am.

They're amazing 😂 I'm now also addicted to voting yes or no on OPK pictures 😂 I studied at the university of Glow and now have a doctorate in OPKs 😂😂😂

Guys, I think these Soya Isoflavones are turning me crazy 😂 As well as being crazy hyper/wired for a good half day after taking them, I'm turning slightly hysterical over things. I'm aware of it but can't stop - it all seems justified 😂 Only 2 days left of taking them though, then onto BDing and OPK's

@Lozzlepop not bad thanks! How are you? The cold seems to have left me which I'm thrilled about. Just got to get through this afternoon at work. Got the dogs with me today as one of them was a bit poorly this morning. Still nothing exciting on an OPK I'll take one again this afternoon after work. So 2 more friends have announced pregnancies this week and one gave birth, so pleased for them but it's still a pang! They'll be nobody left to announce theirs by the time I get pregnant though so every cloud 😂

Do you know what I have noticed ladies. I'm so much more 'Zen' this cycle ( ha! Wait till I'm in the tww) but I've really somehow convinced myself what will be will be and to make time for just me and OH. I don't know where this has come from because I am usually so far from zen you wouldn't believe 😂 I'm OPKing and that's it. See if it continues...

@thumper59 i am not feeling too sore from the gym thankfully but I am super hungry today so counting down till lunchtime lol! Thats annoying about your gym 👊🏻but good that you've beaten the cold! Oh no really🙈its so difficult when you are on the TTC journey, especially if like me you haven't told anyone. I'm the same, all my friends are married and have kids except me 😒

@Lozzlepop oh that's good news!! Glad your not to achy. No I haven't told anyone! Just me and OH, I've just downloaded glow so will upload some opk pics onto it later it reckons from my period I'm in my fertile window now but I really aren't! So confusing

@Lozzlepop yes we BD and have hopefully covered it, still going to try tonight then we have covered all basis. Then I can slowly go mental in the TWW. How are you with the OPKs?

@thumper59 I think the apps like you to start DTD quite a few days before you Ovulate so you have lots of possible stock ready to be loaded ha.

I actually think I am technically in the TWW now, AF in 14 days I have just noticed....anyone else??

@thumper59 think it takes a few months of inputting data for it to be accurate.

@DayDreamer1707 good stuff!! Fingers crossed for you. This was our first proper cycle TTC and first time ever using OPKs but found them ok to use now that I know not to expect a gradual darkening. Yup AF in 11 days for me (hopefully not)

@DayDreamer1707 - aside from turn me crazy, not a clue what they do! @FlapJackered took them one cycle and got pregnant so I'm just trying the same for 1 cycle
Have made me so 'wired' and hyped the whole time though haha, take them at lunch then for the rest of the day I go a bit nutty... going to sort of miss having so much energy when i stop from Sunday
