@cupcakesandglitter that is true, I just need to get through the 4 days of taking them!
My temp normally drops the day before or day of AF so it is a bit early to be negative about it but I just feel AF is on her way.
Fingers crossed for both of us though!!

@KatBeCool I have heard hsg can help! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I have got a doctors appointment on Friday and I am going to ask for an HSG I think. Bit scared though! 😬

DayDreamer1707 · 30/01/2019 12:52

@MrsMcNtobe I am so sorry, you aren't out yet though.

@Jessikka it's almost like your own phone likes to tease and remind you!!!

@BabySquid are you thinking of doing a test? I know you will hate the idea of seeing a BFN but will put your mind at ease and you might get your BFP....

@cupcakesandglitter I'm not even in the TWW so I have no excuse to being hungry all the time. Think I just like food too much.

BabySquid · 30/01/2019 12:56

@DayDreamer1707 I actually am. Call me crazy but if I still have achy boobs on Monday then I'll do one. I've never had an af like this before. Just been for a wee and had a red wipe! It's been brown since yesterday morning!! 🙈🤯🤯😭😭 WT actual F!!!

thumper59 · 30/01/2019 13:09

I don't know where I'm going wrong but I'm always hungry whether I'm in the tww or not 🙄😂

Lola871 · 30/01/2019 13:20

@AnnaMC214 congratulations! That's a proper line 😊

Haha @jessikka, these things suddenly pop up everywhere once you're aware of them!

So my coil is coming out tomorrow, DH is back tomorrow, and I'm due to ovulate on Saturday/Sunday. Then ready for the first TWW of symptom spotting! I know it's unlikely to happen in the first cycle, but I still keep working out when it would be due, how it would fit in to things we have planned for the year etc 🙄 silly really isn't it!?

Crossfitgirl · 30/01/2019 13:25

@babysquid this thread may be helpful for you. I had about 2-3 days ish of my usual spotting (always get brown spotting at the start of AF) then had a bit of blood one morning on wiping, like either the very start or the very end of AF, then it went away... Next day had pink discharge and got my very faint BFP in the evening.

Have a look at that thread though as other experiences were different xx

Crossfitgirl · 30/01/2019 13:28

@babysquid sorry just read that back and it wasn't clear, I think the bleeding I had followed the 2nd day of spotting. It wasn't just a random morning lol. Good luck xxx

BabySquid · 30/01/2019 13:37

@Crossfitgirl thanks, this has helped a lot. I'm going to see how it goes because I started with the brown spotting last Wednesday, I never get spotting for so long before AF, then proper red on Sunday late afternoon, like a normal period till Monday night then woke up Tuesday to nothing but brown when I wipe! I usually have 32-34 day cycles, and Sunday was CD29, very very unlike me. See what the rest of the week brings me.

starkid · 30/01/2019 14:19

My AF is due tomorrow, am 10dpo at the moment. I always get tempted to test on the due day, but because of how short my luteal phase is, it feels like there's no point as probably will be too early to tell. So might test if not on yet on Saturday, as will be 13dpo which is a bit better for accuracy I hope.

Very interesting reading regarding implantation bleeding linked above. I've gotten spotting the last few cycles for a day or 2 before AF, but so far nothing this cycle. Probably means nothing, but as usual can't help but symptom spot everything slightly different haha!

Anyone else due this week? xx

cupcakesandglitter · 30/01/2019 14:49

@FlapJackered potentially implantation dip? Not that I know what they look like 😂😂 x

@DayDreamer1707 @thumper59 oh no don't worry, I'm always hungry too 😂 but this is like an INSANE amount of hunger, feeling nauseous, rumbly stomach - within minutes of eating. I ate lunch maybe half hour ago, and ate a lot more and was super full (so full I couldn't finish it) yet I'm sat here now feeling sick and starving 😭😭😭 x

@starkid fingers crossed for you - 11 days isn't too bad? Have you researched it? Sorry I'm not too sure about LPs and how they work 😩 I'm due on anytime in the next week xx

starkid · 30/01/2019 15:14

@cupcakesandglitter - yeah it's not too bad a length to cause problems, or I expect my hormone test would have picked it up (hope so anyway!). I don't really have a clue how they work either, learn everything from more clued up people on here 😂 Do you think 11 dpo isn't too early to do one? Always feel like I ought to wait til 13-14dpo to be absolutely sure, hate the thought of a false positive! 😩 very tempting to do one tomorrow though Grin

@DayDreamer1707 @thumper59 - I've been snacking lots today too, but that's a normal everyday occurrence for me 😂 no excuse!

cupcakesandglitter · 30/01/2019 15:18

@starkid same here 😂 it depends I think on two things - firstly do you know exactly when you ovulated? And then secondly I suppose when you may have implanted - implantation can happen between 6-9dpo (I think) and so you potentially could've implanted yesterday, in which case your hormones could be too weak... but then you also could've implanted four days ago, so you may have enough 😂😂 x

DayDreamer1707 · 30/01/2019 15:30

@starkid I never understood the luteal phase and found this quite helpful. Says it's only a concern if its under day days long. I also only have a short luteal phase - www.avawomen.com/avaworld/luteal-phase/

I have managed to stay away from snacking as I am still trying to focus on Fit Feb, netball tonight and I will be blowing out my ass as I am most definitely not FIT right now.

starkid · 30/01/2019 15:42

@cupcakesandglitter - oh who knows then, I haven't had implantation symptoms (not that I really know what they are! Pain, blood? Nope). Got a positive opk (or at least very very close to) on 19th, then Clue put me down as ovulating the next day, which is what I've gone off. Ah well, Maybe testing Friday wouldn't be too early overall. Will see what happens tomorrow I guess! Fx for you this week too xx

Jessikka · 30/01/2019 15:44

Hey Ladies.

Quick q: would you class this as a positive? or just close too?

If this is correct I'm Due to ovulate in next 36hrs-ish which would mean I'm Ov around cd 12-13 of a 27 day cycle.

Ps sorry, new to these OPKs! .. to me they're identical.

It's hard to tell my CM today as though it looks EWCM I had sex at 7am and may still be sperm?! .. though would there be that much when wiping all these hours later? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Have you experience with having a positive OPK on day 1 of your (Ovia predicted) Fertile Window? Is that right?

TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 12! [edited by MNHQ at OP's request]
DayDreamer1707 · 30/01/2019 15:51

@Jessikka if the test line is the one on the left then yes I would say that is a positive. What I found that helped me when I was getting used to using these is the app called 'Glow'. There is a tool on there where you can take a picture of your test and it tells you if it's positive.

Jessikka · 30/01/2019 15:55

Thanks @DayDreamer1707

I'm quite frustrated.

Ovia told me I'm entering my FW today... now I put my positive OPK in itv changed to being last but one day.... I haven't had sex all week. I had sex on day 1 of it and now today day 5.

I've lowered my chances now - grr.

Ah well, next month I will not make that mistake! Grr!

DayDreamer1707 · 30/01/2019 15:59

@Jessikka Yes it does that with mine too, it's so hard work to tell. If it's your first time using them as well the app might be a little confused. I'd say get busy when you can over the next few days and you should be covered x

KatBeCool · 30/01/2019 16:04

@Jessikka looks positive, your calculations of days are correct. I wouldn't trust Ovia predictions, it's always been wrong for me. I find Flo more accurate.

@FlapJackered I was so scared of HSG, but while painful, it wasn't as scary in the end. Make sure to load up on ibuprofen couple hours before. The worst part for me was them shoving the catheter up the cervix. Considering that it cramped for an entire day afterwards, I'm guessing the pain was from her touching and maybe scratching the cervix (I know, sounds great). But it was over in less than two minutes. The only advice I have, breathe. 😂

starkid · 30/01/2019 16:04

Ooh I'd personally say that was positive @Jessikka, if anything the test line is darker than the control to me, which is positive :)

KatBeCool · 30/01/2019 16:07

@Jessikka you haven't ovulated yet. Your chances are the highest today and the next two days. It takes about 45 minutes for the sperm to reach the fallopian tubes, you have time!

starkid · 30/01/2019 16:12

@DayDreamer1707 - thanks for the link, think that's the link I saw before which made me paranoid as mine has been 9 days before, it's usually between 9-11 days long (obviously can only go by when I got a positive opk, then Clue just puts me in to ovulate the next day, but could be off by a day either way I guess). Last month was 9 days, the month before 11 days.... You'd think my hormone test coming back normal would put me at ease 😂 we're a thread of natural worriers it seems!

How long is yours usually?

Jessikka · 30/01/2019 16:15

Thanks for the reassurance ladies!

I knew I hadn't Od yet but though I probably didn't have enough stored up 😂😂🙄

Ah well, thankfully due to impending snow I'm working from home next two days so will make the most of BDing before work 😂

KatBeCool · 30/01/2019 16:20

@Jessikka lol you technically need only one "stored up" in the correct tube. I think you're ok.

@starkid what was your TSH from the tests? 10 days is still considered normal, mine is 10-11 days.
