Thanks @flapjackered, really glad I did another test this morning- I just had a sneaky feeling! DH was a bit bemused by how excited I was to see a static (there may have been a dance)

TrashKitten10 · 20/01/2019 10:51

@Kittyhop how funny, just an hour after you posting about it! Your ovaries obviously thought they should get on with it after hearing you were complaining about them on here :) Now jump on DP and we will cross our fingers for you!

BostonFern · 20/01/2019 10:56

@thumper59 I'm not really sure atm, I've felt nauseous but that might just be tiredness from work, I tend to feel nauseous quite easily to be honest! Some lower abdominal pains too. Not really sure what to think!

Kittyhop · 20/01/2019 11:09

@TrashKitten10 haha I know! I did one test at 6am and another at 10, so my ovaries bucked their ideas up pretty sharpish after I publicly shamed them! 😂 plans for today scrapped now so DTD can be priority... fx and thank you for the encouragement Flowers

Kittyhop · 20/01/2019 11:13

I have a quick question- this is cycle one for us after implant removed early December, so I’m not sure what it means that I’ve got my positive OPK quite late- I’m CD20. Does that mean I’ll have a long cycle and shouldn’t test at the end of the month as I was planning to?

TrashKitten10 · 20/01/2019 11:13

@OhMarnie Haha I'm with you on being a control freak! I'm Primary and am responsible for our early years unit. Lots of babies and toddlers every day doesn't help with the broodiness! As stressful as I find it, I don't want to give my 'baby' up to another teacher either! I've set up and run it and want it run my way haha. DH and I have discussed me working part time 2 or 3 days a week if we have children and as much as I think 2 days would be fantastic and probably just about affordable, I'd be sad giving the 'majority' to somebody else. The things we overthink hey Grin Like you say, our priorities will completely change at that point and teaching won't be as all consumingly important. I might be pleased to be rid of it :)

TrashKitten10 · 20/01/2019 11:32

@Kittyhop You'll be probably 8-9dpo at the end of the month so may see a result with a FRER but if you can wait a few more days any BFP will be a bit clearer.

I'm cramping this morning, feel like AF is en route but only CD24. Very short cycle for me if so but I guess the pill messes things up for a while.

Kittyhop · 20/01/2019 11:37

Thanks @TrashKitten10 and fx your AF stays away x

cupcakesandglitter · 20/01/2019 12:13

Ahhh @FivexFive how exciting ❤️❤️

Aww congrats @DogMum24 xx

@FlapJackered you can get positive OPKs up to 48 hours after ov too! I'd record it as an anomaly just in case xx

patiently waits for positive OPK or some sort of sign... getting impatient now 😩

Jessikka · 20/01/2019 12:26

Morning all!

Officially Cycle 2 as of today! AF gave me a cheeky yet expected surprise this morning! Though wasn't expecting her appearance so early in the morning!

First cycle was 27 days so I'm hoping they stay around the 27-28 day mark - though we will see! I had forgotten how bad cramps can be with a natural AF so I'm in bed watching YOU on Netflix and waiting on a Sunday dinner; ah tough life!

daisiesandpeonies · 20/01/2019 12:43

Hello all,

I was on this thread a long while ago and then came off it because I felt I needed a Mumsnet break for a few months. I was very unhappy around the 5 month mark, but have come to terms with waiting now and seeing positives - like DH gets more involved with each month.

There's a few names I recognise but it's been a while so:

Age 31
Cycle 8, but month 10 (cycles vary between 35 and 42 days, with one unexplained missed period)
Cycle day 1 - AF came this very morning! She will be here for at least 7 days....

I struggle with my cycles, periods and skin. I've also got bad acne since coming off the pill - which I've got a prescription lotion for it but it's not the silver bullet that the pill was! I've had a blood test for PCOS, but nothing.

Find OPKs too stressful so trying SMEP this month! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼Also just started taking Vitex and would be interested to know if anyone else has?

Let's go team 2019!

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 12:46

Aah congrats on the BFPs!

I'm seeing my gynaecologist this week and hopefully will get a surgery date soon. X

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 12:48

@daisiesandpeonies hope all is going ok. Turns out I've got a dodgy tube ruining my good tube's chances and need surgery, but hoping to have a date soon!

daisiesandpeonies · 20/01/2019 13:19

@ValidUser omg hun - I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it gets sorted for you soon. What does the surgery involve?

Jessikka · 20/01/2019 13:25

@daisiesandpeonies I too have struggled with acne the last few years; I was given a progesterone only pill at 25 and for the last 3 years it's ruined my skin! Now I'm bc free it's calming down so far!

If you are offered a Duac topical screen give me a shout as have experience of that and it's good and bad!

I would really suggest Nip+Fab! (Boots/Superdrug/online). The salicylic acid (spot zap on green tube) is wonderful! Massively reduced redness and the pimple and made my spots go down loads! Under makeup they weren't so pronounced and raised so easier to hide! X

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 13:59

@daisiesandpeonies need my right tube (scarred from peritonitis as a child) and something done to keep the left open.

If all this fails, I have a credit card that will take an IVF hit!

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 13:59

Right tube removed, I mean.

Low chance it could be salvaged, but a chance all the same.

cupcakesandglitter · 20/01/2019 16:10

Hey @daisiesandpeonies great to have you back ❤️ glad you're feeling more positive too xx

Ah @ValidUser hopefully you'll get your date soon. Sorry to hear it needs removing - if it's likely it'll go how soon after can you start trying? Xx

Babytrain89 · 20/01/2019 17:00

I'm out ladies! AF arrived. Gutted but positive for next cycle! Having a wine tonight!

TrashKitten10 · 20/01/2019 17:09

@Babytrain89 Sorry to hear that. Enjoy the Wine

MrsR16 · 20/01/2019 18:21

@Babytrain89 sorry about AF lovely!

I'm in a proper dilemma here, ladies, and would really appreciate your advice! I don't think AF has actually hit me. I've had no cramps, mild spotting for half a day and then just one bit of fresh blood, then back to spotting for a day and nothing since! Do you reckon this is AF or not? I'm very confused... xx

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 18:28

@cupcakesandglitter hoping so. This has been a really tough couple of months. Not sure about when we can start trying again, but just hoping they can help soon. It's draining and disheartening, all of this.

I am aware I'm moaning quite a bit, but just having trouble staying positive. Turning 29 this week. Hoping I'll be pregnant by 30. (I know I'm young but my FSH and AMH were barely ok - I am ovulating though.)

How's life with you?

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 18:29

@MrsR16 worth testing. Could be implantation. X

DuchessofPemberley · 20/01/2019 18:29

@Babytrain89 sorry to hear that. It's never easy.

@ValidUser hopefully you'll get a surgery date soon. Does that mean TTC is on hold?

@MrsR16 I hate those in between situations, they really mess with your head. No advice but I'm sure someone on here has been through something similar.

@thumper59 I'll also be testing next Sunday, that's the day before AF is due and the day that my FF app recommends

Bettythecat · 20/01/2019 18:32

@MrsR16 have you POAS yet this month?
