Hey ladies...hope you're all ok and having a lovely weekend. We BD again last night so keeping everything crossed we've done enough. My DP actually said "I'm all shagged out" Blush So here's hoping it was worth it.

@Keyboard91 So sorry to hear about the bleeding. Keeping everything crossed for you that it's nothing to worry about. Sending lots of love.

@MrsAW2018 So AF got to you. I was the same at the beginning of the month..tested in the morning 4 days late BFN..was keeping my hopes up but by lunch she arrived. Have a nice glass of wine and some chocolate.

@FivexFiveHuge Congratulations to you!! What an impressive line. You must be thrilled.

PinkFizz19 · 19/01/2019 19:54

@MrsAW2018 That should say Sorry* AF got to you. I really should preview my posts. Sorry.

Lozzlepop · 19/01/2019 20:33

@19Bee2 really? I never knew this, our bodies are amazing but complicated. Have ordered some OPKs for next month so I can check ☺️ Thanks for letting me know!

starkid · 19/01/2019 20:33

Just did another opk and the lines are definitely the same colour now Grin ah something so simple as knowing your body is at least trying to do what it naturally should!

starkid · 19/01/2019 20:34

@PinkFizz19 - your poor husband Grin

starkid · 19/01/2019 20:34

*partner

PinkFizz19 · 19/01/2019 20:45

@starkid he's never had it as good Wink he's asked for a week off to recover.

You'd think having a baby is the most natural thing in the world and yet it's by no means easy.

AngeloMysterioso · 19/01/2019 21:39

"Implantation bleeding" looking more like old blood today... I'm thinking it's just my period, randomly a week early. No weirder than it being randomly a week late in November, I suppose...

Bettythecat · 19/01/2019 21:41

@Lozzlepop yes af doesn't indicate whether you have ovulated or not. It's mainly just the womb lining which would disintegrate anyway even without an egg.

All of you first cyclers don't worry the baby fever does die down a bit as the cycles go on. I was exactly the same looking at nursery furniture and googling my due date etc but don't do that anymore- a bit more zen about the idea it may take a while! Of course hope it doesn't for all of you though.

Went to see my therapist today who I have for general anxiety and was telling her about TTC and how it makes me feel even more anxious. She said we all put so much pressure on ourselves these days for it to happen straight away and it never used to be like that. She said every time I have a worry about why it's not happening so quickly to acknowledge it but tell myself I will give it emotional energy in a year (or whenever) and then I was allowed to worry. She said I already have enough that I worry myself about without adding something else to the pile! Think she's probably right that with all this information and media with pregnant women blood everywhere it's so hard to lose sight of the fact that for many women for many 1000s of years it doesn't happen the first month! Just thought I'd share in case of use to anyone!

AnnaMC214 · 19/01/2019 22:26

@Bettythecat thank you for that. I think it does actually make me feel better and I need to try and remind myself of it when I'm freaking out!

In my real life (not mn) I feel surrounded by people where it all seems to have fallen into place and they had kids exactly when they planned to. Since I got married I feel there's this huge expectation that my dh and I will be popping out babies in no time!

Bettythecat · 19/01/2019 22:32

@AnnaMC214 I'm the same- everyone I know who is pregnant or has been it happened to first time and it's easy to feel it's not fair or assume there must be something wrong if it hasn't happened first time for you but the evidence says completely the opposite and it's normal to take a few months at least! This is my new mantra at least haha!

FlapJackered · 19/01/2019 22:53

I finally got my static smiley!!! And a positive opk too! So relieved! We have Dtd tonight and then will try again for tomorrow morning. 🤞🏻
@cupcakesandglitter as @starkid said have hope that my IC was really light earlier today and now a definite positive so hopefully it will be positive for you soon too ... although maybe it's better holding off until you can corner and jump on your DH! 😂

@Bettythecat that sounds really sensible talk from your therapist. I think sometimes we get so focused on the end goal it is hard to step away and get a rational perspective on it.

Yayyy ovulation buddies haha @FlapJackered

19Bee2 · 19/01/2019 23:12

That's a great way to think if it @Bettythecat
Thinking if it as 'emotional energy' seems a great tip. We only have/can do so much!

Lozzlepop · 19/01/2019 23:27

@Bettythecat thanks for letting me know, I never knew this 🙈 why is it so difficult why some people can sneeze and get pregnant! I have ordered up OPK for using next month so I’ve got a better handle on timings although according to my apps my FW will be when DP is away for the weekend 😒 typical!

AngeloMysterioso · 20/01/2019 00:12

The luck of pregnancy is absurd. I've had friends who've hit the jackpot first time and now have 3 kids, others who had to have surgery before they could conceive, or tried for up to a year. I've been pregnant once before when we weren't even TTC, unfortunately my mental health at the time just couldn't deal with pregnancy so we had a termination. Now we've been trying several months and no luck.

It doesn't help that my body keep messing with me, my period was a week late for no reason in November, now this month it appears to have come a week early (and got me all excited thinking it might be implantation bleeding).

I remember when I got pregnant before, taking a test when my period was a few days late which was negative. It wasn't til I tested again about a week later that I got the BFP. But since we've actually been TTC I haven't been able to resist doing a FRER every month. This was the first month I wasn't going to worry about it at all until I started bleeding on Wednesday.

Basically, TTC'ing can really fuck with your head.

MrsH497 · 20/01/2019 02:14

So I've ordered a thermometer and clearblue OPKs for next month and expensive amazon order but nothing to lose right ladies?!

FivexFive · 20/01/2019 07:23

Hi guys, here is my digital result! X

TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 11!
DogMum24 · 20/01/2019 07:42

@cupcakesandglitter....so it appears my eyes weren’t deceiving me. Did a digital test this morning and I am definitely pregnant 😱

I showed DH both the test I did yesterday and the digital one and he just thought I was a tool for thinking the line maybe wasn’t there in the 1st one 🤣. His view is it is very obvious!

DH seemed shocked at first and is currently mourning our proper honeymoon which will now not be happening but we are happy....just need to stop him suggesting stupid names now 🤦🏼‍♀️

Bettythecat · 20/01/2019 08:20

@FivexFive what a lovely sight!!

Lozzlepop · 20/01/2019 08:22

@AngeloMysterioso im exactly the same, most of my friends caught first time and one of my best friends it took them well over a year and she was younger than I am so it always puts niggling doubt in your mind. I never thought I would get this way you just get so excited for something which you are always told is the most natural thing in the world. I think we just need to remember it will happen when the time is right and maybe take a bit more of a laid back approach to it all.

Bettythecat · 20/01/2019 08:24

@DogMum24 congratulations! Just read your original post about informally trying for 2 years so it must be a lovely surprise for you! Xx

Lola871 · 20/01/2019 08:48

Hi guys, can I join please? My DH and I have decided to give TTC a go, we've been going back and forth on it for a while and have decided to come off contraception and just see what happens (at least have to plan to be chilled about it, right?) so won't be temping or using OPKs for now.

I'm going to make an appointment to get the copper coil out this week or next. I've been tracking my cycles on Fitbit and they are quite long (35 days the last 2 cycles), currently on CD8 but not due to ovulate til CD21 so plenty of time to get the coil out! I'm 31 so not too concerned about age but the long cycles could have an impact I guess? I don't know much about TTC!

Congratulations to all the recent BFPs, looks like it's been a lucky thread so far!

DayDreamer1707 · 20/01/2019 08:49

@FivexFive congratulations, lovely positive tests.

@DogMum24 congrats!!!

Currently CD21 and 8DPO. Not really got any symptoms at all just want my next cycle to begin so we can begin our SMEP!! Any of my cycle buddies having any symptoms??

BostonFern · 20/01/2019 09:02
