CD14 for me and third day of flashing smileys on my Clear Blue OPK. Testing twice a day now and hoping for static smiley. DTD most days but I’m very prone to cystitis, so also having to be mindful of that- so much to think about!!

DayDreamer1707 · 14/01/2019 09:06

Morning Lovely Ladies, do we have anyone who is thinking of testing or has the feel they maybe up the fluff?

I am currently on CD 15 and I'm guessing at 1/2 DPO. Not sure we DTD at the right time or if my cycles are even right but still trying to be relaxed about it all. Anyone else around then?

@Jessikka I try and just act normal, obviously not going crazy on the drink etc. May seem silly but when I got pregnant last time I was still drinking and eating what I wanted. We wasn't really trying then so I don't think it will make a massive difference, all it does is puts etc pressure on yourself but you have to do whats best for yourself.

Lozzlepop · 14/01/2019 10:42

@Jessikka I have been trying to cut down on the caffeine and alcohol, not that I’m a drinker but always good to get into the mindset and won’t be such a shock to the system.
@DayDreamer1707 I’m halfway through the tww, predicting af should arrive Thursday so may test at the weekend to rule out if she doesn’t appear!

19Bee2 · 14/01/2019 10:49

@FlapJackered That is interesting to know and I definitely think I am affected by stress so I'm going to just try and see how it goes. Hate having no control. Such a learning curve for me!

Thanks for your reply @KittieKath I am going to keep my eye on it. Do you mind me asking why you went to the doctors initially and if they have any advice/medication or is it just a case of continuing to try and see how it goes?

KatBeCool · 14/01/2019 10:53

@FlapJackered I'm not sure if it was the tea. I can't complain about 16-day LP though. But that'd be one crazy potent tea. I had it for only three days. And it's just a few herbs. I'll see how this cycle goes.

@Nextchapter19 it is normal to get lighter periods with age. I want from 5 days plus five more days of spotting (ugh) to two days and 2-3 days of spotting. I had to look up if I even had enough "coming out". Normal is considered at least two tablespoons or two soaked tampons (sorry for the gross image). Number of days doesn't matter as much.

@19bee2 yes, the ovaries do alternate. Not always one after the other every month, it's possible for the same ovary to go twice in a row. I can usually tell the side when I ovulate. So interesting.

MrsAW2018 · 14/01/2019 11:19

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your lovely replies to my last post. AF is due either today or tomorrow. Thought I'd do a FRER this morning to find out once and for all and I got a bloody evap! Talk about rubbing salt into the wound. I really felt positive about this cycle but it obviously wasn't to be and I feel heartbroken 💔

Went to the doctors this morning about an unrelated issue and mentioned that I wasn't pregnant again this month (she thinks we've been trying since September but it's actually June) and she said for my age you need to be trying for 2 years before you get referred but because I've got PCOS they might refer after a year. I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but that's just good to know.

Hope you're all doing okay today. Xx

Bettythecat · 14/01/2019 11:23

Another two week wait, another round of symptom spotting. 🙄 are those cramps I can feel? Is my lower back a bit sore or is it just my chair? Did I feel faint this morning because I'm preggo or because I hand yet eaten 😂. Can someone put me to sleep until Sunday please and wake me up when it's over?!

Bettythecat · 14/01/2019 11:23

@MrsAW2018 how old are you? 2 years seems so long!!

MrsAW2018 · 14/01/2019 11:28

@Bettythecat I'm 24... it does seem like ages! First time I've been grateful for having PCOS as it seems to mean we'll get assistance quicker. Hopefully it won't come to that though!

DayDreamer1707 · 14/01/2019 11:33

@MrsAW2018 as hard as it is, try and stay positive. You will end up with your baby one day. Sometimes the best things take a little longer because they are more precious 😘

honeylove · 14/01/2019 14:12

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

@DayDreamer1707 On CD 27 (usually have regular 28 day cycles) so AF is due on Wednesday... feeling pretty positive but don’t want to get my hopes up too much!

Babytrain89 · 14/01/2019 14:15

This thread moves so quickly! So sorry that some of you are having a tough time! Its a very lonely journey and it's almost taboo to talk about it. I've told two of my friends but you just feel like you can't bring it up.

CD 21 for me. I feel cautiously optimistic for some reason...but equally feel like I'm setting myself up for a fall! I'm either 6DPO or 9DPO. Not getting into realms of telling or OPKs yet.

@Jessika I've kept drinking to within daily units during 2WW and limited caffeine a bit. I'm not taking ibuprofen after reading the effects it can have on This thread. I've also ruled out high mercury foods such as albacore tuna.

AF due 20th...So if she arrives a large glass of wine will be consumed.

DuchessofPemberley · 14/01/2019 14:21

Hi all!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was a couple of weeks ago now. Good to finally catch up on the thread!

I wanted to thank everyone who encouraged me to temp on the last thread. Between that and monitoring my CM I actually managed to calculate my fertile window correctly this month, and it was much cheaper than that god awful Clearblue Monitor Hmm

This is cycle 6 for me, and it might be the first time I've actually had a reasonable chance at it being my month, despite me throwing more money than sense at the thing. Thank goodness for this thread.

How is everyone doing?

Bettythecat · 14/01/2019 14:52

@Babytrain89 I'm also due on 20th so we can do a virtual cheers if it doesn't go to plan!! X

Babytrain89 · 14/01/2019 14:57

@Bettythecat fingers crossed for our BFPs!! What cycle are you?

KittieKath · 14/01/2019 15:37

@19Bee2

Don't mind at all... nearly writ et last time BT thought it was too boring. I had some pains and mid cycle bleeding (before TTC so wasn't aware of ovulation pains/spotting) so went to docs. And they thought it might have been an IUD rupture! 😱

So they gave me ultrasound as well as some blood tests. My docs then closed down so I kinda got left hanging. So no meds prescribed.

I have been carefully trying different supplements - mostly to sort my skin because I am horribly vain! - and think I have an issue with insulin, connected to intolerances to gluten and sugar.

As I couldn't manage a gluten and sugar free diet long term, I find taking the supplement inositol makes my skin pretty clear and regulated / shortened my cycle.

My cycle is 27days now, down from 30ish and regular as clockwork.

This is mostly self diagnosis and may be total bollox by the way! I have no medical credentials at all. I am a photographer with a google habit?!

:-)

KittieKath · 14/01/2019 15:39

Sorry for typos! Can you edit / delete on here?

sjkent18 · 14/01/2019 15:53

Hello ladies! First time trying, came off the pill just over a week ago after being on since May. No sign of a withdrawal bleed yet but one day of very light brown discharge. Slight cramp today but nothing to shout about. Very nervous but we are excited for the journey! X

Lozzlepop · 14/01/2019 15:58

@sjkent18 Hi and welcome ☺️ You are pretty much at the same stage of the journey as me, I came off bc just before new year but no sign of withdrawal bleed earlier. Fingers crossed our cycles get back to normal pretty quickly ☺️ xx

Bettythecat · 14/01/2019 16:02

@Babytrain89 cycle 5- how about you? X

FivexFive · 14/01/2019 16:03

@Bettythecat, I've got the 'purple' one, not the 'pink' one. I'm sure in the leaflet it says that when you buy more sticks, to keep using the old monitor because it holds info... but I may be thinking of it wrong! I will check when I get home and post again when I know!

@DayDreamer1707, I'm due af at the weekend so may test at some point over the weekend if nothing has arrived. I definitely feel like we had more sex this cycle and was a bit more relaxed, but whether it pays off is another matter!! We shall see Smile

Hope everyone has had a good start to the week? Xx

Babytrain89 · 14/01/2019 16:23

@Bettythecat cycle 2 of proper cycles and 3 if you include first month off the pill.

@lozzlepop and @sjkent18 welcome to the journey!

Bettythecat · 14/01/2019 17:02

@FivexFive I feel like I've had the pink one so you may well be right! X

stormtrooperjulian · 14/01/2019 18:20

@Jessikka I’ve quit caffeine but only because I was relying on it to wake up so I didn’t want to have to break that habit during early pregnancy when I’d probably be tired already. I haven’t quit alcohol but I don’t drink a very often anyway so I’m not too worried about that

@Random2468 I though my AF was due today but it hasn’t arrived so I guess it must be tomorrow, feels like it’s coming

19Bee2 · 14/01/2019 18:48

Thank you for taking the time to reply @KittieKath
How frustrating about your doctors, but great that you've been able to find something that works for you! (Now googling inositol to further my own 'knowledge' that seems to grow day by day - a woman obsessed!)

Talking to my mum today and she reminded me of the fact she had to have an operation after a burst cyst in her 40s and it also took her 18 months to conceive me and a year for my sister. Not necessarily linked but I'm going to keep it in mind as I chart the next couple of cycles.

Met a friend's new baby today so feeling extra broody. She did struggle for a while though with various issues but got her little one eventually so it fills me with hope for us all.
