@ratherbeshowjumping yey for the flashing smokey and the Sunday sex!!

Last night was predictable. Lots of barbed comments. I didn't play nice.
Ended up playing cards against humanity and my DH brought the house down with '(blank) ruined my sex life' and played the card 'my ex wife'.
The best friend took offence saying 'from where I'm sitting that's not funny!'.... so I asked if she wanted to swap seats as from where I was sitting it was fucking hilarious!! Apparently she didn't want to swap! 😂😂😂

Frazzlerock · 27/01/2019 09:39

@InDreamland it's so tough isn't it. So many dates/milestones to cross. But sounds like you got through the latest one well xx

@tigsy I'm just astounded that people like that exist 😢

@ratherbe that's great news!! 🤞

I think I might be gearing up for ovulation. What do you think?

I've put chart from last cycle to compare. My temp is well into ovulation numbers today 🤔

Ah I missed posts again as started writing my post then got distracted!

@tigsy that is hilarious!

@Frazzlerock I don't know how you cope with such variable cycles! Yours looks so totally different to mine I'm not sure where to start! (Sorry)

My temps are still all over the place. I've got a stinking cold and a really sore throat still so I'm hoping that's it. I normally have temps around 36.2 pre-ov but this month is just crazy. I already know this isn't going to be my month!!

Frazzlerock · 27/01/2019 09:58

@Betty my cycles aren't as variable as they used to be. They were NUTS before when I was TTC the boys.

I think I have a +OPK
It's the darkest it's been in the past 7 days I've been testing. Plus I have high soft and open cervix and watery CM 😳

@tigsyboo crying 😂😂😂😂😂 that's fucking hilarious.

@Rose68 you never know, there's definitely a chance!!
Dh is WFH too tomorrow so fx'd we'll be able to once more tomorrow as well 🤞🏼

Frazzlerock · 27/01/2019 10:01

Also @Betty my last cycle had delayed ovulation as that was my MC cycle. My preg cycle (the one before) I ovulated on CD14.
It's CD14 today so I'm hoping my cycles have really sorted themselves out.
Unless all my signs are a completely coincidental (probably knowing PCOS)

BettySwoll0cks · 27/01/2019 10:23

That OPK looks good to me @Frazzlerock will you do another one this evening? I tend to do 2 on Ov day so I can work out if levels are going up or down x

Rose68 · 27/01/2019 10:29

@Tigsy that made me laugh! So funny!

Rose68 · 27/01/2019 10:31

@Frazzle, looks like we won’t quite be dpo twins this time. 😞

Frazzlerock · 27/01/2019 11:23

Good point @Betty I'll do that.
Sorry you're under the weather

@Rose not this time but we're not too far apart. Make sure you jump on DH tonight

I'm feeling under the pressure now. Mostly worried DP won't put out later. I've no reason to believe he won't but knowing my luck..

High BBT Temperatures During The Follicular Phase
Ideally, your temperatures should be quite low during your follicular phase (the part of your cycle before ovulation, from days 1-14). At Conceivable, we like to see temperatures that range from about 97.2 - 97.4 degrees F.
Heat is both a cause and a symptom of inflammation, which can affect the whole reproductive system. In fact, over-active inflammatory pathways are now thought to contribute directly to many reproductive issues including recurrent miscarriage, intrauterine growth retardation, menstrual dysfunction, complicated labor, and preeclampsia.
If you notice that your temperatures run high during the follicular phase, heat may dry out your cervical discharge and can compromise egg quality. 😭

BettySwoll0cks · 27/01/2019 11:41

Maybe I shouldn't try this month. I don't want to walk straight into another inevitable mc 😔

Kinsters · 27/01/2019 11:57

Betty do you always have such high temperatures in the follicular phase? I'm sure inflammation is bad for ttc but I'd think that inflammation would have to be sustained to impact egg quality. Like they say you have to take vitamins for three months to have an effect on egg quality.

tigsy you sound hilarious! Some of your friends sound like right bitches though.

Twittle I'd second going for a massage or doing something else that relaxes you.

Frazzle hope the jumping DH goes well!

I'm so confused by my opks this month. Not sure if ovulation will be delayed cause I got positive opks and I'd normally expect to ovulate the day after but it didn't happen. I hope its either happening now or delayed for a good few days cause that's all the Bd'ing we're going to get in this cycle.

We went out for dim sum today and it was sooo good. Supposed to be having dinner now but I'm still stuffed. I read that a serving of full fat dairy per day reduces the risk of infertility so I've been having a glass of milk every night before bed.

tigsyboo · 27/01/2019 13:37

@BettySwoll0cks I don't know what to advise... it's a minefield!! Are you sure your thermometer is right??

@Kinsters they are categorically NOT my friends. They are the wives of DH's friends. There's only 1/2 that I can actually tolerate. I avoid them wherever possible but at least twice a year I have to suffer them... before it all kicked off with the ex wife she used to be there too!!! Imagine the fun - sitting eating a curry with my DHs (dp at the time!) ex-wife - who still wore both her engagement and wedding ring!! She only stopped wearing them when we got married!!

Even tho she threw him out, it was all a game and she thought he would come crawling back and life would be on her terms (they were mortgages up to the eyeballs and she didn't want to work and wanted them to sell their house to her parents at a ridiculously low price and then rent it from them while he worked a 50hr week) ..... cue him meeting me and her plans getting scuppered!! She told everyone (we found out after) she would 'make him suffer for 6 months then allow him to come back once he started towing the line' ..... so although I had nothing to do with their marriage failing, I get the blame for him not going back!! But as I point out..... once you've eaten steak, you wouldn't go back to a Tesco value burger!! 😂😂😂

edidxb · 27/01/2019 15:12

Hello, just catching up.
Wow @tigsy I can't believe people can be so bitchy and horrible. I deal with that with the teenage groups of girls at school but most people grow out of it.......you have strength to deal with that! What a story about how the ex left and thought he would come back to her - you can't make this stuff up. I'm pleased he found you instead even if he can be a pain at times!

@ratherbe - good stuff with the BD action although what a pain about the gig and they didn't read out your message! I love Snow Patrol but I haven't heard of the other band. I am not from Birmingham but my Mum's side of the family are all from Wolverhampton so I know the area well. W'hampton is like nothing else..........so depressing.

Fingers crossed @kinsters. You might have ovulated as you had the temp shift but I didn't look closely enough at your cervical mucus ( I mean obviously we're all not looking at each others' cervical mucus..........that would be weird)

@betty - I haven't looked but I am sure it would say something similar for a low BBT in general too - not the same symptoms but too low causes issues etc....arggghhh - sometimes I wish I was medically trained but then doctors don't know all the answers. Did they say to come back for more testing after you got the blood results? I am having my blood tests for the same stuff in about 2 weeks. Do you feel hot in your person? Just in case you do have a fever? Or is it the medicine you are taking? You said earlier you were taking something for your shoulder?

I know @Rose68 had mentioned acupuncture earlier but I also feel generally a whole lot calmer since I have been having it. Things just don't get to me as much.

I am on 7DPO today. Got all the creamy cm etc but it's almost physically impossible for me to be pregnant this month so just waiting until I can try again in Feb.

This week is the most pressured of my whole school year - we have inspection ALL WEEK. So I am just trying to be calm and telling myself that stress is not good for me.

@Frazzle - hope tonight is positive for you with DP.

@kinsters - I LOVE dim sum and wish I was having that for dinner rather than the sweet potato and chickpeas I am going to have!!

InDreamland · 27/01/2019 18:42

@ratherbeshowjumping thanks, it really does suck. Good you managed to DTD! Hope this is your month!

@Rose68 thanks. I'm 8 or 9 DPO so probably too early to be pregnant. Also I think I might be coming down with something. I also don't actually know when AF is due, before second mc cycle was 27 or 28 days but first proper cycle since mc in November was only 26 days. Don't you have 24 hours after ov for fertilisation? If so you may just catch it in time today?

@tigsyboo that's hilarious! Good on your DH! We played that game NYE, it's a good laugh. His ex sounds awful, sounds like the ex of my best mate's DH and the ex of one of my DH's mates. I just don't get why people have to be like that.

@Frazzlerock thank you. That OPK definitely looks positive.

@Kinsters I love dim sum! So jealous!

BettySwoll0cks · 27/01/2019 20:37

@tigsy I think you're onto something about the thermometer. I have 2, and they are miles apart. I just took my temp with one of them twice in a row and it came out with a vastly different reading (one time it said 35.4. Dead, no?). What an utter load of bollocks. Can hardly be bothered to BBT now 😠

BettySwoll0cks · 27/01/2019 21:27

@edidxb you're right there's a reason to panic about everything isn't there? Too low, too high, meds.... I'm putting this one down to crap thermometers and maybe slightly the fact that I am a bit under the weather. For the bloods, I had the standard ones first (levels and deficiencies) then CD21 progesterone. Then this last lot included factor V, factor VIII and Von Willebrand. All normal and no repeats, so now I'm just waiting for my referral to the clinic in Cambridge.

TwittleBee · 27/01/2019 21:34

Apologies for being a bit absent, with my stress levels already pretty high some cheeky fucking neighbour is attempting to steal our woodland see the "Neighbour stole our woodland" thread in AIBU (if you're interested)

My mum's been a saint though and has seen how stressed I am so has said she will have DS tonight so I can just relax, read a book etc.

Oh Betty go fricking confusing with the temps!!!! Yeah always try to stick with same thermometer. Maybe one is faulty?

kin I am so jealous of your dim sum, drooling! OPKs can be so confusing, did you carry on taking any more of them post those 2 positives?

Good luck with the inspection edidxb !

When do you think you'll test InDreamland ?

I have no clue how you deal with that woman and her batshit friends tigsyboo ! Take my hat off to you for meeting up with DH's friends!

Frazzle good luck tonight with managing to pounce on DP, hope that everything remains ojay on him agreeing to TTC!

Rose certainly worth you jumping on DH too just in case, although does seem that you do have SMEP as a back up (I know you weren't planning that though)

Yes for DTD Rather ! FX!

Kinsters · 28/01/2019 05:06

tigsy wow OK definitely not friends! That's terrible behaviour.

Twittle yeah, no more positive opks.

Betty I find bbt really random as well. I once took my temperature again immediately after doing it the first time and it had really increased. I don't know if its because the room is cold overnight with air con because when I've taken two temps in a row during the day the reading has been the same each time. I read about someone keeping her thermometer under the pillow to help with this.

I put in some dummy temps and if I have a temp higher than 36.39 tomorrow then it'll set ovulation as Friday which isn't great timing wise because we only managed to dtd Friday evening and that was after a long break so I don't know how fresh DH's swimmers were! Can't be helped though, thrush and work got in the way.

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 07:18

I'm so fucked off this morning.

My body clearly playing tricks on me because, despite the high temp, +OPK, watery FJ, high soft and open cervix and also 'ovulation spotting', my temp has dropped massively this morning! 😡

I was so fucking excited and we BD'd with pre-seed and I even shoved a menstrual cup up there to keep his boys from falling out while I pottered around the house.

I was all geared up for another high temp and BOOM low temp.

😫😫😫😫

And I'm still getting spotting today.
Fuxake.

(I'll catch up properly when I get to the office but I'm on a train using the mobile app and find it tricky to go backwards and forwards on this thing and I needed a rant )

Pegase · 28/01/2019 07:35

Help! Please!

As what I thought was my period didn't progress, I took a pg test this morning and it is positive.

But I have been having brown/pink/slightly reddish spotting when I wipe - enough to think I had come on my period a couple of days ago. Do you all think this is just a chemical and there is no point getting my hopes up? Don't even want to tell DP at the moment in case my proper period starts.

TwittleBee · 28/01/2019 07:37

It could be implantation though right? Pegase I guess all you can do it keep peeing in sticks and seeing if they progress over next couple of days? Such a head fuck. Really hope this is it for you though
