Here is my current chart. I think the higher temps pre ov were because I am not sleeping that well. But you can see on average how low my temps are. And also how AF started and then my temp dropped. This is 2nd cycle post mc currently....

Morning

@Betty where in your cycle are you? Do you have a chart you can share?
You do sound ill though. BTW I had to google Carry Underwood, I still have no idea who she is Grin But good news for her!

@Rose is it okay to take OPKs in the morning? I thought they had to be taken later on in the day? I guess if it is negative in the morning when wee is most concentrated, then that is a deffo neg. When does DH go away? Is it tonight?

I seem to have a higher than usual temp this morning. Just above ovulation temps. It may be a fluke, but do you think we should get BDing tonight just in case? Maybe with some fertility lube for good measure... We BD'd last night and I shoved my Ovusense in afterwards so hopefully that held some of his boys in Grin
I'm on CD12 so it would be early for ov compared to last cycle and preg cycle. But my cycles aren't exactly reliable Hmm

Re DP, he is doing alright now. Actually seems on great form and has gone ploughing into job applications. I think he's realised how much better he can do and all the opportunities there are out there.
Plus if he gets a job in the next couple of weeks, he will still be getting paid from his last job for three months so maybe we can have an awesome wedding after all! Grin

Ah @BettySwoll0cks it does sound like you may be ill? Hope you feel better soon!

@Frazzlerock glad DP seems ok! Fx'd for him! I'm glad he's so positive!

Had a complete breakdown this morning. I should be 17 weeks today 😢

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 10:01

Why do I always miss a load of posts when I post!

@edidxb wow, are you a reptile? Wink Those are some cold temps! But your chart is looking nice Grin. I don't know about thyroid. I have an underactive thyroid but it has been under control for years now thanks to Thyroxine. Mind you, I do get very cold and HATE being cold. My hands are always freezing and I'm usually the last one to feel warm on a hot day.

@rather oh it sucks so much doesn't it. I've actually lost track of my weeks but I think I should have been 17 weeks last weekend or this weekend, given my 16 week MW appointment was last week.
It is not surprising you are struggling. We can think we are okay and then it hits us again, big time xx

BettySwoll0cks · 25/01/2019 11:13

A big hug @rather. The sadness can creep up seemingly from nowhere and knock you on your arse, can't it?

@Frazzlerock you've reminded me I need to phone the midwives and cancel my 16 week appt. I'll have to steel myself for that phonecall.

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 11:29

@Betty that should all have been done automatically.
Mind you, when I lost EMily they didn't cancel any of them and I had them calling me and sending me reminders. I was furious.
This time I asked them if all my appointments would be cancelled and they assured me that this time they would! (different hospital this time so I'm sure they'd have done it anyway)

@Frazzle I’m using cb digital ov tests which are meant to be done in the morning, or you have to hold your wee for at least 4 hours. Well... that’s what the instructions say anyway.... and there is no hope of me holding wee for 4 hours 😆

DH has gone away now, he’s back Sunday. Nothing seems to have fallen out of me so far after dtd this morning, which is quite unusual. But I still think it’s too early anyway. Tomorrow should be D day x

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 12:04

I've a gross question. How do you differentiate between EWCM and sperm from the night before? I'm assuming I have EWCM this morning but we BD'd last night so how can I tell?

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 12:07

I used to wonder that too Frazzle but then found this on FF
www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Distinguishing-Semen-and-Cervical-Fluid.html

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 12:10

That is certainly a good sign though Rose68 keep it up there for the slower swimmers! When do you think you will ov? I suppose you might be SMEPing so could still be all good for you this cycle. FX

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 12:21

Thanks @Twittle. I just read it. My problem is I never ever get clear EWCM it is always opaque and never stretches that far (maybe a cm). But this morning it was a mix of the both clear and opaque Confused

Ah I don't know. As it says, I will record it anyway. I still think it is too early for Ov but will get BDing just in case. Also negative OPK today. The only thing I have going is 'post ov' temp and this EWCM (which could be sperm).

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 12:23

Not coming down with something are you, might be reason for raised temp? Did the heating come on and raise temp in room a bit high before you woke?

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 12:34

@Twittle nope, feel fine and took temp at same time and heating always on the same setting. I don't think temperature in the room effects core temp, which is what Ovusense records. That is why it is supposedly more accurate than basal body temp.
Who knows, my temp has been doing weird things this cycle what with that 'I am dead' temp on CD8!

OP posts:
Rose68 · 25/01/2019 12:41

The stuff the sperms in doesn’t really stretch like ewcm, but you might have had ewcm & sperm stuff mixed up together.

We aren’t doing SMEP, I don’t like to waste all that sperm pre ovulation. I’m expecting ov tomorrow, based on the last 10 years, it should be today (cd13), but something (dhea or acupuncture) has extended my cycle to ov on cd14 last month. I haven’t had cd 14 ovulation for donkeys years. DH gets back on Sunday and we will bd then, which will probably be too late x

BettySwoll0cks · 25/01/2019 14:49

I find that my CM all but dries up when we BD a lot. Apparently that's actually q common (no idea why it should be tho). So when we're doing SMEP (although I don't Ov until about CD16 usually, so I don't start BDing and OPK until about CD12) I find using EWCM as a predictor q unreliable. Temps and OPKs all the way!

tigsyboo · 25/01/2019 21:25

Sooooo - AF is horrible!! Heavy and vile
Trying to alternate between tampons and pads (🤮) because want to make sure any clots pass.

Anyway.... I'm sitting with a huge glass of wine, just booked my semi permanent brows appointment seeing as I'm not PG!!

BettySwoll0cks · 25/01/2019 21:29

We're in the same boat tigsy. I tried pads for 2 days then gave up as AF was too heavy, then did 2 days of TOTM tampons, now things have calmed down a bit I'm back to pads. I haven't had much clotting though, have you? I also dyed my hair and painted my nails, because I can ...

tigsyboo · 25/01/2019 22:46

@BettySwoll0cks
With me I'm sooooo not used to pads it feels gross!! Every time I stand up I feel the 'gloop' of something moving out 🤮 I'm trying to use them for a couple of hours a day though after work to allow anything the tampon clogged up to pass out.
I find I pass loads on the toilet though, I can see it all coming out when I push to wee.... sorry TMI!!

I have my nails done with shellac anyway.... I didn't know that was a no no??
And yes.... I've booked my highlights in for the 31st too!! Roots-be-gone!!! 🎉

I used to have Botox and I considered getting that done too but know if I got bfp and something went wrong I'd be convinced it was that!

Also started a week back on diazepam to try and settle my anxiety back into a 'non worried' state while it's not harming anything... I find a week or so can settle me down for a good while as my body realises it likes a non worried state.... I also found out the give it to women having ivf implant to relax them for implantation so can't be too bad at pre-implantation stage xx

Rose68 · 25/01/2019 23:33

@Tigsy I believe nail varnish isn’t good for egg quality, I only found this out just after Xmas. Neither is hairspray, and a few other things which I have forgotten.
I had my hair done last week too ☺️
I’ve found if there is any clotty stuff it comes out with the tampon, I have also started using pads more, but not whilst af is heavy, it’s too gross.
Have you thought about having acupuncture? I seem to be calmer and feel I can cope with things a lot better since I’ve been doing it. xxx

Rose68 · 26/01/2019 07:35

Positive opk and ov pain this morning.... where is DH 😩

Kinsters · 26/01/2019 07:58

Sounds like good timing Rose and at least he's not away for too long.

Frazzle I very rarely get clear EWCM either. Anything that's a bit stretchy I just put down.

Based on my opks and temperature going back down after one really high blip on Thursday I think I might ovulate today or tomorrow. I hope so anyway because DH is away Monday to Friday next week! CD12 or 13 sounds ok for ovulation...better than CD9! Just shows you can't tell anything by just one temperature.

I finally told my mum about the miscarriage (before the only people who knew were my sister, FIL and BIL). It was nice to speak to her about it. She never had any miscarriages herself but with my youngest sister didn't make a drs appointment until she was 12 weeks because she had spotting the whole of the first trimester (and actually the whole pregnancy if I remember correctly) so didn't think it would last.

Kinsters · 26/01/2019 07:59

Sorry crossposted Rose, you had sex yesterday so that's still good timing! Do it again when he's back on Sunday and I think you're definitely in with a chance.

BettySwoll0cks · 26/01/2019 08:09

@tigsy I'm on diazepam too, but only a short course for a frozen shoulder. The doc who prescribed it suggested I make sure I stop around Ov just in case, it's not advised during pregnancy apparently?

tigsyboo · 26/01/2019 08:21

@Rose68
Apparently it's one of the 'we haven't tested but seems not too bad' drugs. It has a half life of 20 hours and I've been advised it's not advised after implantation - but my gp said they give it to people having ivf implantation for 48hrs before hand up to the day to relax them and the uterus... so can't be all bad even then.
I'm only on 2mg.
Tbh I need something at the mo as DH is being a 1st class prick and I can't breath wrong without a full scale row so i need sonething to let his BS wash over me like a warm bath instead of raging back at him!!

Ie- this morning we are both at work - he leaves before I get up. I get a text after I'm up saying 'dogs been sick, I've not got time to clean it up... I text back saying I have to get ready too, and he has just the same amount of time as me... his response 'in only telling you to put it in the bin and antibac the floor, not hand wash the fucker!!' like I can just magic an extra 2 minutes into my morning routine, but he can't possibly! I'm livid reaches for the diazepam because it's too early for gin.

ratherbeshowjumping · 26/01/2019 08:47

I never knew Shellac was a no-no!!

Ah @tigsyboo sorry your DH is being a wanker it's never too early for gin!

@Rose68 glad you managed to dtd, I don't think it's too early at all. Sounds like a good chance 🤞🏼

@Kinsters gosh your poor DM having that throughout her pregnancy! My aunt had spotting almost daily with her 1st apparently. Something like that would terrify me!

Dh & I went to see Snow Patrol & Kodaline last night... We are huge kodaline fans & chose one of their songs for our first dance at our wedding. Unbeknown to me, DH had emailed the band & contacted them on Instagram basically saying how much we love them, how we chose the song for our wedding, travelled from Cornwall to see them & if they could dedicate the song to us, he'd be really grateful (really cringe, but very sweet... 🙈).
Anyway, halfway through the gig, lead singer starts saying how special the next song is, how he wrote it for his best friends wedding, and how he loves that another couple used it for their wedding, and he wants to dedicate it to... "not our names"
Poor dh was devastated 😂😂😂😂😂
