Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

How is everyone doing? Got a +Opk on Sunday.. just over 3 weeks after my d&c so we dtd the last few nights..not hopeful at all but just felt i needed to get back in to it x

Tashdreams · 22/05/2019 13:24

@Novasky1 congrats on your +ve opk & fingers crossed you've got lucky this cycle 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'm currently cd54 post MMC & still no AF. GP wants me to get back in touch if she hasn't turned up by day 63 😕 has anyone else struggled to get back into a cycle after a MMC? Mine was managed 'conservatively' my health board don't to dnc or erpc anymore. I just had to wait for my hormone levels to drop naturally.

Struggling to stay positive, just so fed up of waiting now x

Gpmg84 · 22/05/2019 13:56

@Novasky1 that's great re your +Opk, if nothing else it's nice to know your cycles are back to normal again.

@Tashdreams sorry to hear you're still waiting for your af, it must be so frustrating. As I mentioned below I recommend acupuncture and reflexology. After my first mmc it took ages for my cycles to normalise. This time Ive had both acupuncture and reflexology and my period returned last Friday, 4 weeks after my d&c... Maybe worth a shot?

X

Tashdreams · 22/05/2019 14:04

@Gpmg84 ahh I see, my apologies, the first time I read it I didn't take it in if that makes sense - sorry. So was the acupuncture and reflexology for relaxation and de-dressing (which obviously is a good thing!) or was it more tailored to fertility?

Novasky1 · 22/05/2019 14:33

@tashdreams oh no, so sorry to hear your af isnt playing ball...so frustrating, doubly frustrating that your GP is making you wait further until they see you? Hopefully those hormones go to zero soon. I assume medically managed miscarriage allow the hormone to drop quicker? Fx for af to make her appearance. Yes, glad got +opk but more so for my body to get back in synch rather than baby making! (but its a nice bonus!)

Gpmg84 · 22/05/2019 17:07

@Tashdreams no worries at all, I wasn't v clear. Both the acupuncture and reflexology treatments I'm having are fertility focussed (I sought out practitioners who specialise in fertility - there are lots out there!). I find the treatments mega relaxing / de- stress too. I'm working closely with both to look at my diet / exercise / they are monitoring my cycles etc. Hope that helps! Xx

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/05/2019 20:42

Hi all, has anyone heard of fertility reflexology? I'm booked in for appointment next week and I'll be ovulating. Just panicking a bit incase it does anything. But apparently it relaxes you even more so maybe encourages something?? I don't know what do you think x

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/05/2019 20:43

Just read your post @Gpmg84 do you think it's ok me getting it while ovulating?

Gpmg84 · 22/05/2019 20:59

Hi @FirstTimeMama91 yes absolutely. My reflexologist has even given me some reflexology 'moves' to do at home during my ovulation window. X

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/05/2019 21:39

@Gpmg84 oooo ok missus thanks! X

Hello,
I originally posted on here a couple of months ago when I had just had my first miscarriage. Following the miscarriage I made a pact with myself to take a couple of weeks off the internet as it wasn’t helping! In my second cycle since the miscarriage I have just got another BFP. I know I’m fortunate that I have been able to conceive so quickly but the panic is already setting in. I appear to have consistently 9 day luteal phases which my doc said are ‘impossible’ and this hasn’t improved so half convinced I’ll miscarry again as I think my hormones are off! Doesn’t help I have absolutely no symptoms bar the test! Been going to acupuncture too for the last month and going to try and continue. Great to hear about your positive 12 week scan @jacquesjacques gives me more positivity!

FirstTimeMama91 · 27/05/2019 10:14

@CLLN2310 congratulations!! Great news for you Thanks i understand how you feel and I know it's easier said that done but try to enjoy it. Great news x

EC418 · 28/05/2019 19:38

@CLLN2310 Congratulations 💐 such lovely news xxx

BeckyP321 · 30/05/2019 19:12

Hi, I had a missed miscarriage in early April. I was devastated when they told me there was no baby. I’m still waiting for my first period to return since the miscarriage. Can’t wait to start TTC again. Good luck to all of you x

FirstTimeMama91 · 30/05/2019 19:21

@BeckyP321 so sorry for your loss Thanks it can take a while for your body to get back on track. My first period after mc took 6 weeks but everyone is different x

pandaobsessed · 30/05/2019 19:54

Hi ladies, I haven't been on here for a while as needed a break from being reminded about my two miscarriages. But I'm back...with a BFP which I got when I tested yesterday. My symptoms have been a tiny bit of blood about five days ago (I'm about two days past my period) - which I guess was implantation - and I've been extremely hormonal, moody and constantly have a heavy feeling in my tummy. Glad to be back and hear some other positive stories. I'm sorry to those that have recently joined and suffered miscarriages 💕

Congratulations @pandaobsessed and welcome back! So happy for you and keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and your pregnancy xx

pandaobsessed · 31/05/2019 09:52

@Gpmg84 thank you so much. The line on the test was much stronger than my previous one (in fact it's stronger and darker than the actual test line). So I'm hoping this is our rainbow baby 💕 how are you getting on?

Tashdreams · 31/05/2019 14:01

@BeckyP321 hi and welcome - I had my MMC in March (started losing 24/2 and it ran til 4 weeks later - hospital wanted it managed conservatively) don't lose hope - I've had a 62 day cycle before AF finally showed up the day before my GP appt. I didn't have much faith in my body just taking longer to adjust but everyone was right, I needed to be patient which I rarely am & especially not when all I wanted was to be able to ttc again.
Stay positive, it'll happen soon xx

BeckyP321 · 31/05/2019 21:02

@Tashdreams and @FirstTimeMama91 Thank you so much for your kind words and so sorry to hear about your losses too. It’s been 8 weeks since my miscarriage so hoping it starts again soon so we can TTC xx

charlou89 · 01/06/2019 09:51

Hi everyone just wanted some advice or if anyone else has been through a similar thing. I had a miscarriage last year a chemical one and then another one 4 weeks ago. With this miscarriage i was spotting at 5 weeks baby had a heartbeat was all fine apart from a bleed around sack I was told was nothing to worry about. At 8 weeks started bleeding had a scan and was told there was nothing there. Wasn't given any explanations for the loss. I now want to try for another one after this period I'm currently having. I was just wondering if anyone has been through this. Or has any advice. Xx

Newbie21 · 01/06/2019 12:25

@charlou89 so sorry for your loss. It is such an awful thing. I haven't experienced exactly the same but I've had 3 MCs last year - the first, was an MMC. I had booked a private harmony test at 11 weeks (hadn't had any scan before but assumed all ok - no major symptoms apart from couldn't drink coffee but I was the same with my DS). As soon as I saw the scan I new it wasn't right, DH and I were devastated. No heartbeat baby passed at 8 weeks. I had to have a d and c then advised to wait 2 months, following which I had an early MC/CP (at 6 weeks) then next cycle pregnant again but started spotting at 6 weeks MC at 9 weeks. It's been extremely tough but you have to try and stay positive. I have had tests and things seem to be ok, I'm just unlucky. GP said to stay strong and as long as we (dh and I) stay strong support each other and we can keep trying then it will happen. After bfn's for 6 months and just about to start clinic on next cycle, I've got a BFP the other day - I'm terrified it won't work out but trying to stay positive - hCg tests booked for next week (tiny tiny spotting the other day but it has stopped), I've never been so relieved to feel sick all day Not that it means much when you have MMCs but at least body is doing as it should.

The above was a long winded way of saying we need to keep buggering on - it's so so tough but we are stronger than we think and it will happen. Xxx

charlou89 · 01/06/2019 14:12

@Newbie21 so sorry for your loss hun. It horrible having to go through this. I saw a gp the other day and they've referred me to a gynaecologist but I'm worried there gonna find something or tell me something I don't wanna hear xx

Newbie21 · 01/06/2019 14:47

@charlou89 I'm sure you will be fine. It can be scary but to be honest, I actually felt better when I was seeing the doctors and having appointments. Sounds silly but month after month we are relatively helpless and can't control very much but just having appointments and checking things made me feel more positive and proactive. I hope it all goes well the gynecologist, I'm sure it will x

Gpmg84 · 01/06/2019 22:59

@Newbie21 so pleased to hear about your bfp! I'm sure it must be really scary being in early pregnancy again so wishing you lots of positive good luck. Hope the tests next week go well Xxx
