Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

@pandaobsessed there was a little bit of a brown tinge to it at one point but it’s still happening and is more pink now. Just confused as to why it’s lasted this long.
I stopped myself from doing another test this morning!! Xx

Em39ma · 08/01/2019 13:13

Just back from the doctors. They have tested for everything apart from being pregnant.
If I don’t come on tomorrow I will test again.
Not sure it’s my hormones fault for the fall. I kind of make a habit of falling down stairs.

Newbie21 · 08/01/2019 23:44

@PurrMaid are you using the CB advanced OPKs? With the flashing smiley then static smiley? If so, I use them. They are not like other OPKs you do use them with first urine until you get the flashing smiley and after that you can continue in morning or later in day because the surge can take place at different times and varies in length woman to woman so if you have a short surge then just doing it one could mean you miss it. Did you get a flashing smiley?

Em39ma · 09/01/2019 07:57

I use the clear blue opk with flashy face.

PurrMaid · 09/01/2019 08:31

@Newbie21 I have only been using the cheap OPK sticks so far, and have just ordered the non advanced clearblue but now thinking I should have got the advanced! I didn’t really know there was a difference!
Still waiting for AF to read her ugly face, so we can get started on a fresh new cycle!!

Ladies, I'm a mummy blogger and recently shared my Miscarriage Story, which took a lot of time and tears. But thought maybe it might help some of you. Feel free to read it here:

Hi Ladies, can I join? Sorry to hear about all of your losses. We had a MC at 9 weeks in November. I fell pregnant after 6 months with no contraception and "just seeing what happens". We would both love to have a baby asap now and I find myself becoming one of those women I never thought I would be! AF is due on 16/01 but today my boobs have been really sore. I did a test (knowing it would be negative so literally peeing away money) already, the TWW is just so bad!

Babycakes1989 · 09/01/2019 17:22

I had a missed miscarriage in July and only found out at my 12 week scan that there was no heartbeat. I totally feel every bit of pain that you ladies are going through 💖 I’m on cycle 5 of trying again(fell first time last time) and for the first month I’ve caught ovulation date and did lots of baby dancing! I’m praying this is my month, I try so hard not to try and put that pressure on myself but when your given a taste of motherhood (my first pregnancy I’m 29) and then it’s snatched away it makes you want it even more. Sending all you amazing lovely ladies lots of baby dust and praying this is our year xxx

Newbie21 · 09/01/2019 20:32

@PurrMaid not sure if there is a difference but read the instruction booklet it will clearly tell you when best to test.

Newbie21 · 09/01/2019 20:36

@Babycakes1989 and @StarryEyed88 so sorry for your losses. Hope this cycle brings sticky beans for us all. It's so hard this whole TTC journey. Whilst it's so upsetting that so many of us experience such tragedy at least we can take comfort that we are not alone and can will each other along.

Em39ma · 09/01/2019 20:48

@newbie21 I think it’s knowing that we are not alone that helps all of us.
I read an article the other day, saying they reckon there are more miscarriages than pregnancy, but it is still taboo to talk about miscarriage

tri2mum · 09/01/2019 22:39

Agreed @Em39ma, the couple of friends I've spoken to about my miscarriage have both said they have been through it as well but I would never had known had I not opened up to them. Doesn't make it an easier but does make you realise how common it seems to be.

StarryEyed88 · 09/01/2019 23:00

That’s so true, it’s so common and when you tell someone they’ve almost always had one themself, or been through it with a sister, friend etc. This forum is definitely helpful, knowing others have gone through the same.

Em39ma · 10/01/2019 08:18

Well I’m due AF today, do I test or wait and see 🧐

Newbie21 · 10/01/2019 09:20

@Em39ma oooh exciting. I want to say test vis I'm excited for you but I've given myself a rule that I'm not to test until a week overdue - in addition to my MCs I have had a few CPs when I've tested day after AF due then lost a week later so I take the view if I test later I find out when I've been pregnant for longer. It's a totally flawed way of looking at things I know.

Fingers and toes crossed for you... sod it, I think you should test - positive mental attitude!! Smile

Newbie21 · 10/01/2019 09:23

@Em39ma also do you definitely know when you ovulated? Cos obviously if you ended up ovulating a bit later then you could get a BFN when actually it's just too early so wouldn't want you being disappointed unnecessarily.

Em39ma · 10/01/2019 10:57

That’s it, my ovulation stick had a smiley face for 3 days!!!
So I think I might wait until Saturday.
I really want to test, but with all the cramping I’ve had, I think I might be disappointed.
Also I’m can’t get FMU as I get up 2/3 times a night for the loo.

Newbie21 · 10/01/2019 22:15

@Em39ma if you can't get FMU then might be worth waiting a bit longer so you get a definitive answer. I'm still staying positive for you. Fingers crossed for Saturday.

Em39ma · 10/01/2019 22:42

That’s what I’m thinking, know sign of AF.
So I’m still hoping I might get my BFP, but also trying to not get my hopes up.

Em39ma · 11/01/2019 07:33

Well I caved!!
Managed to go from midnight to 6 without getting up for the loo.
So POAS and got BFN
Will have to wait and see, as I don’t know how long it took to show last time. I know I tested about 5 days before my BFP and it was BFN. Maybe I take longer to show up

Newbie21 · 11/01/2019 08:13

You're not out until AF shows up. Fingers crossed 🤞

Em39ma · 11/01/2019 08:39

Yes, that’s true. Still no sign of AF turning up, apart from the cramps a few days ago.

Em39ma · 11/01/2019 14:49

How’s everyone else getting on this week?

tri2mum · 11/01/2019 17:39

Hi @Em39ma, been symptom spotting like mad...sore boobs, back ache, tiredness, the list goes on. Waiting for first AF since Dec MC although me and DH have been ttc already. Not sure when ovulated or even when AF is due, used to have 34 day cycles so I think I've got another 5 days. This ttc is tricky business, really hoping for a BFP but worried sick if its another MC.

Em39ma · 11/01/2019 17:53

I thought I had fallen straight after my MC tri2mum.
Epau got really cross at me. FX for you, I had very elevated levels for a long time and was in and out of hospital, because my body reacted really badly to the MC
