Married now for 9years so yeah looking to start a lil family.
Currently 2dpo and wait is already horrendous and symptom spotting is in place 😂

Woken up at 3am after a bizarre nightmare and heinous heartburn. Also fell asleep at 9pm. Now I'm wide awake. 😵

Louise392 · 15/02/2019 11:34

Haha @lammoshay i know how you feel.

I kept waking up all last night off and on just couldnt settle properly.
Sorry to hear about your nightmare @lilana, anything you can share?

Iilana · 15/02/2019 13:38

@Louise I can I dreamt that I had a knock at our flat, open front door to a couple trying to push into our flat, when I fought back they stabbed me multiple times, it was graphic and terrifying. Couldn't get back to sleep after that.

Louise392 · 15/02/2019 13:45

@lilana OMG that sounds like an awful dream, just wondered if it was something that could relate to pregnancy pending but god knows what that would mean.
Hugs

ImMeantToBeWorking · 15/02/2019 15:49

@Lammoshay hope you are feeling OK now. It seems so unfair doesn't it when people who don't want kids get pregnant so easy and yet others find it so hard.

A friend of mine is due in April, she got pregnant by a one night stand, took the morning after pill, and still got pregnant!! She will be a great mam, but she didn't want a baby in the first place. Another friend is starting IVF later this year when her and her DP have saved enough money (Ireland currently don't support IVF financially). I feel like I can't even talk about TTC with her as I know how hard it is for her!

All that seems to be popping up on my ads at the min is pregnancy tests, Boot's baby event (10% off orders over €60!!), baby products, clothes etc. It is horrible! Sad

Still no AF here (only due yesterday) but after 3 negative tests I am not going to test again yet! Up with family at the weekend so will give me a break from thinking about it at least!

ImMeantToBeWorking · 15/02/2019 15:50

@lilana no wonder you could not sleep after that, sound horrible!! Hope you are feeling better now!!

Louise392 · 15/02/2019 16:04

Just thought i would share this implantation website i found before if you have not seen it already, says how to work out a rough time you should implant. :)

Hi everyone jumping in as also ttc,, its my 2nd month ttc after taking the pill for 10 year, i stopped it in October, I'm using the glow app which I know is only a rough idea so this month i started using ovulation tests, I'm on day 20 of my cycle and still not ovulating has anyone else went this long? I dont know if it has something to do with being on the pill for so long my body may take some time getting back to 'normal'? Or could it have been early and I've missed it but i did start testing from day 10? TIA x

Louise392 · 18/02/2019 08:30

Morning @Lammoshay had a busy weekend at a wedding fair.
I decided to start temping to see if it's elevated or going up
Fri 98.42
Sat 98.78
Sun 97.52
Mon 97.70
Days on the internet that usual is 97-97.5 so it's been above all those (only just on sunday) hoping it goes up more or stays above.
I'm on cd26 now, due af on Saturday

How have you been?

Louise392 · 18/02/2019 21:49

How you getting on @hopeful31? @lammoshay? :)

Lammoshay · 18/02/2019 22:44

Welcome @readytotryforfirstbabax
It may take a bit longer for your cycles to regulate so keep testing- feel free to upload pics of your tests if your not sure and we can help you out x

@Louise- Hope AF stays away- are you having any symptoms? Fingers crossed.
All good here- starting the SPEM plan from wed so fingers crossed. X

Hi @readytotryforfirstbabax I came off the pill in October after 5 years but was lucky that i used to get ovulation pains even when on the pill every month so mine just sprang back into shape when i came off but took me 2 months to get periods back.

I am not too sure with ovulation and doing it late, have read on here people ovulate late. The pill definatley messes with your body, i had full on pregnancy symptoms from the time i came off the pill til my first period in December it was aweful.

hopeful31 · 19/02/2019 08:56

Hi. Having some heartburn, cramps and nausea. But I'm trying to stay realistic and say that it can be anything. Due af on Sunday. I have a strong urge to test tomorrow.

Louise392 · 19/02/2019 09:12

Hi @hopeful31 Did you have a good break?
Sounds like you have some signs still which is good :)

Not long now til af, I have ordered some FRER on click and collect tomorrow so i am going to do one on Thursday morning with FMU then its only 2 days before af is due.
My stomach and back were hurting yesterday.

hopeful31 · 19/02/2019 09:58

I'm just trying not to get my hopes up because last month I had loads of symptoms and it didn't happen. Trying to talk dh into going to a fertility clinic just to check everything is ok. Was looking at ones that we can just pay privately. I think my anxiety is kicking in and I feel like there could be a problem.
The break was lovely. We are heading home today.

I have a good feeling about you this month. Is sounds promising @Louise392

Louise392 · 19/02/2019 14:00

I know how you feel @hopeful31, last month i was the same and was convinced i was. I have only been trying for 2 cycles and feel like giving up if this hasnt worked this month as we have dtd so many times i cant see how we couldnt have made a baby.

@Lammoshay fingers crossed for u this month. Ok I tested this morning. I think it's bfn. But when I shine a light under it, I think I see something. But maybe it's my eyes. I'll just wait and test either tonight or tomorrow.

Farukh11 · 20/02/2019 07:31

Hi girls,

I am new here.

I am 24 - turning 25 in September.

I am adopted so this baby will be my very first blood relative (scary).

We haven't been TTC yet - Husband and I got married last year.

We are both fairly young but since I am wanting to expand my family and we are in a very comfortable financial place - I thought why not! It has been my dream since I was little.

Last period was delayed by 9 days - had brown spotting - tingling breasts and was incredibly sure that it happened - but no luck (however we were not trying at this point).

Cycle is 28 days - no period pain - only ovulation discomfort - never delayed (apart from last time) and pretty standard 5-6 days.

Any tips for starting? Any ways to keep myself sane - I am incredibly impatient...

hopeful31 · 20/02/2019 08:08

Hi @Farukh11 , take some folic acid. Do u track ovulation etc? I use fertility friend and I think it's really good

Farukh11 · 20/02/2019 08:12

Got the folic acid ready to go - so track my period with two apps - including Natural cycles which tells you ovulation more accurately...I also bought an ovulation kit...

I need to take it slowly...I have just heard do many heartbreaking stories So I am preparing for the worst
