Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@DaniX91 I don’t ever really notice the ewcm but this is probably tmi but we have been dtd so much I don’t know if it’s cm or semen residue I do stay in bed for 10/15 mins but I do get up for a pee as I am very prone to UTIs. Your test line is darker than the control line and that’s the main thing! Try another later to see if it’s any darker. I done another last night about 8.30pm and it was far lighter than the one yesterday afternoon, I wasn’t even going to do one today but I’m glad I did!

@whatsthecraic91 I've wanted to say that so many times about not noticing cm because of semen but I didn't dare 😂 glad u have haha.
I think that could be why because we didn't dtd Friday night and it was yesterday morning that I noticed the ewcm! I made a thread about it and there is no denying it when u look at the pictures.
Yea I might do another one later.
I'm taking seven seas trying for a baby and my boyfriend is taking the wellman conception tablets and without tmi (again) they definitely seem to increase the amount of semen!

Haha the semen and Cm is a dilemma. I read though that semen should be dried up in a few hours so can wait and check. Also semen shouldn't be stretchy so you should still be able to confirm ewcm 😁🤞🏻

@DaniX91 I don’t think there’s any such thing as tmi on here yea well if you skipped a day then I would say that’s defo ewcm you had! I’m just taking folic acid and my DP is on perfect 7 not sure what brand they are. Hahaha brilliant as gross as it is that’s what you want we will dtd the next couple of nights there then we are off to Glastonbury Wednesday morning, I just can’t wait for a break from it all as TTC is all I think about at the minute. Sun, cider and dancing come at me

It'll be nice for u to take your mind off it, it does easily take over.
I seem to be seeing babies and pregnant women absolutely everywhere atm! They've probably always been there but I'm noticing them now cos it's what I want.

@DaniX91 it's one of those things you wouldnt bring up at work or at the pub but here we're all going through the same things 😂

Hello all! Hope you are all well in your journeys! It’s been an age since I last posted but I thought I would check back in. Nothing much to report so far but I seem to have really long cycles!

I came off the pill on 1st January, had withdrawal bleed, and then it was about 30 days until my first ‘real’ period. After that my cycles have been 34 and 57 days long. I am now on day 46 of my current cycle and not sure whether to test now or wait longer? Like 60 days? My boobs have been really sore and feeling full the last couple weeks but no sickness or anything. I have also just come back from a busy holiday abroad so that might have thrown things out of sync. A confusing time!

Oh I also don’t track ovulation so no idea when/if that happens!

@PumpkinsMum18 I am in a similar situation to you- and finding it frustrating! I stopped the pill in March. 1st cycle was 57 days, I knew I ovulated eventually as I had ewcm. Now on 2nd cycle, cd40 and not sure if I've ovulated. I've thought about using opks next cycle but if it's another mega-long one not sure if there's much point! Do you think we just need to wait it out and things will settle down eventually? Wish I had a shorter, regular cycle- many more chances to ttc! I need some patience I think.
I hear you about when to test... I'm thinking the chances of me being pregnancy are probably not high. I think I might test before my next night out (in about a week). Otherwise I'd rather just wait for AF. I find that less demoralizing than bfn.

Ladies, I came off the pill in January, had a 74 cycle then a 54 day cycle (happened to be chance to test using OPK which showed a positive on day 43) and today is day 22 and not a sniff of any second line on the OPK so I reckon another 50 plus cycle again...
I'm gutted. Tried myo-inositol for the last three months to help regulate but who knows. I'm 33 and no children. If it's 55 days or longer I'm going to the doctors. I'd have hoped it'll gradually reduce but doesn't look likely for me

@Mycrazylife85 that's annoying. I was hoping after 1 extra-long cycle I would be back to normal too. No such luck. Af usually appears 10-14 days after ovulation so if you ovulate soon you could be on a shorter cycle. I hope I don't beat the 57 I had last cycle! What cd did you start opks?
It is very frustrating to have such long cycles when we just want to get on with ttc!

@Skyla01 I think I started about a week ago so perhaps around day 14/15 but I haven't had the slightest twinge/back ache/ spot. I know I've not missed anything and if truth be known I known I don't think it's on it's way soon either. It really is annoying. On the other hand at least I don't need to worry about making sure we have sex at the right times 🙄

Feeling crampy a bit today and my flo app says my period might be due today so not sure I’m too optimistic about this cycle

Hi ladies, me again. Nothing much to report apart from still no af since my withdrawal bleed in May. I’m day 46 today. Haven’t been testing for ovulation just gonna wait and see when my period comes.

While I’ve been catching up with everyone’s messages and journeys I think it’s important for us all to remember to just look after ourselves and take time out for just us. Stress and hormones do not mix! Might sound silly but maybe try some meditation or if you can afford it do something for you every now and then like getting a massage or you could try something new and have some acupuncture or reflexology (both of which are supposed to be beneficial for fertility). Just checking in! How is everyone? Now 8dpo, i felt a bit crampy yesterday like AF was coming but today I am feeling fine? Really want to test but I know it’s way too soon

I’m still waiting for AF been feeling crampy since Saturday but it comes and goes.
Took a cheap eBay test yesterday but was negative. I really don’t think I am as this is my first real cycle off the pill so anything could be happening. I would just like to know!

@Abi58 I’m going to try and wait a week as my AF isnt due until the 9th! I will likely cave at the weekend

How are you after your BFP? Are you having any symptoms? How many dpo are you now?

@JaggyJumper 🤞🏻 for you! Is it a one step one? I got a decent line on an frer before I really saw anything on them. How many dpo are you?

@clola I'd dtd anyway just in case 🙈 I think it's 2 weeks after your last pill you can ovulate so sounds like you might be in your fertile week 🤞🏻

I'm great thank you. I've been so worried after my chemical last month but starting to settle in that this one is going well. 17dpo today so now officially 3/4 days late and lines still getting stronger. Had an frer where the test line is darker than the control and cb digital 2-3 weeks 😁 just got hcg beta blood test results back

I still have waves of nausea, boobs hurt like heavy and bruised feeling, and so so tired 😩🙈

Hello ladies! Just checking in to see how you're all getting on! If you're newish I started this thread back in December. I'm nearly 19 weeks pregnant now and feeling bigger every day! Haha
We have also found out that we are having a little girl! 💝

The ovulation sticks worked for me and using these alongside ovia pregnancy (great app!) Meant that I had a really good idea of my date when I did fall pregnant. Just bear in mind that the ov sticks can.show you ovulating a bit before you actually do! (By my dates it appears we dtd on Tuesday, had my positive ov stick weds and conceived on the Thursday or the Friday). Hope this helps!
