Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@DaniX91 her name is Kimberly 😊
Sorry to hear you had a traumatic birth, must of been difficult 😞 I had originally planned to have a homebirth but had to go into hospital in the end. It was very hard work haha!

DaniX91 · 10/06/2020 22:22

@PumpkinsMum18 aww lovely, what weight was she? Haha yep it's not easy but so worth it! Whereabouts in the country are u?x

PumpkinsMum18 · 12/06/2020 14:09

@DaniX91 she was 7lbs 9oz so pretty average! I’m in South London 😊 where are you?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 12/06/2020 15:12

Wondering if anyone is in the same position as me - came off Rigevidon in mid - March, all keen bean to TTC. Now mid June and AF has never come back. Have used OPKs for the last month and identified one LH surge in May but now over 14 days later and nothing (no AF or pregnancy). So I've booked a telephone GP appointment to hopefully start the ball rolling and work out wtf is going on / going wrong. My guess is that my body isn't actually ovulating again yet at all, which is why no periods?

DaniX91 · 12/06/2020 18:50

Have u had her weighed since or not with what's going on? I bought some baby scales from Amazon and I fill her red book in haha. I'm up in Durham x @PumpkinsMum18

PumpkinsMum18 · 12/06/2020 22:00

@DaniX91 she was weighed by the health visitor when she was two weeks old and then weighed again by the doctor when she had her 8 weeks jabs. It’s strange because I have some local mum friends with similar aged babies and they haven’t been weighed since they left the hospital pretty much! It seems different doctors have different policies. Very frustrating!

whatsthecraic91 · 21/06/2020 08:36

@DaniX91 I don't get notifications for this thread anymore which is annoying!! 12 weeks today I can't believe it 😁 my scan is on Thursday I can't wait 😊 at the minute I have to go alone but I am praying it changes by then, but I don't think it will 😬 I'll let you know how it goes x

DaniX91 · 22/06/2020 07:02

@PumpkinsMum18 I really done see why they can't weigh them. They haven't even been writing in Daisy's red book when she's had her injections! She had her 16 week ones on Thursday, I asked about the book and the nurse said, "oh we're still not writing in those". I think it's ridiculous tbh.
Omg how exciting @whatsthecraic91 I can't wait to hear how it goes! Keeping everything crossed that u don't have to go in alone 😘. Jesus people can go into Primark together but can't go to a scan together! Madness if u ask me. Good luck lovely x

PumpkinsMum18 · 24/06/2020 19:33

@DaniX91 that’s so weird that they aren’t writing in her red book! The nurses have been writing in Kim’s book. Good luck with the jabs tomorrow, we had ours today. They weren’t too bad but I’m glad we don’t have to have anymore until a year old! Has Daisy been registered yet? Our appointment was cancelled because of the lockdown but I got a call from the registry office this week to rebook 😄

whatsthecraic91 · 25/06/2020 20:08

Hey @DaniX91 scan went perfect moved a day forward so now 2nd Jan! Had to go by myself it was fine and I got 8 pictures to show OH, he waited in the car. All very real now! Hope you're keeping well x

Anyone else fresh off the pill!?
DaniX91 · 25/06/2020 21:48

@PumpkinsMum18 it's silly I think! Yes I'm glad Daisy is done with the injections for now! She had her last ones last Thursday. How is Kim doing after hers? Yes we registered her when she was a couple of week old, before the madness began! X
Awww @whatsthecraic91 just look at that 🥰 I bet you're on cloud nine! I'm soooo happy for u, been thinkin about u lots today hoping everything was goin alright. A lovely new baby for the new year! Are u goin to find out the sex? I'm guna guess boy 💙 based on absolutely nothing haha pure guess! Really pleased for u lovely x

@peaky297 hey, hope you're well! I'm glad u did start it cos it really helped me on my journey 😊. I spent a full Sunday reading through it last May then came off my pill and I'm now sat here with my 6 and a half month old daughter!x

peaky297 · 07/09/2020 12:35

@DaniX91 thats amazing news and im glad it helped you. TTC can feel quite lonely, so its nice.to be able to speak to others in the same position without the pressure of knowing them personally. Lets hope it helps more ladies in the future! X

@unknownscot hope everything is ok with u? X

whatsthecraic91 · 14/02/2021 12:31

@DaniX91 I don't get notifications for this thread - annoying!! Sorry for the late reply!

His name is Tom 😀 labour was actually ok!! No where near as painful as I imagined! I was induced with the pessary and everything went great, waters broke themselves and I was ready to push 7 hours later. Wee dude just didn't want to come out so after pushing for 2 hours I had to have a csection. Bit disappointed at the time but after reading some of the horror stories on my Facebook group I'm glad he didn't come out naturally 😅😅 I'm so happy my downstairs is still intact 😂 I actually loved the whole experience being in theatre 😂 I would take an elective next time & recovery has been a dream. I feel very lucky.

How are you & little lady? x

DaniX91 · 03/03/2021 17:17

@whatsthecraic91 I haven't had a notification either! Aw so pleased it went well for you and you're happy.
We're ok thanks, Daisy was one on 22nd February 😳 xx

whatsthecraic91 · 11/12/2022 10:35

@DaniX91 you popped into my head today! How are you doing? x

peaky297 · 01/01/2023 20:10

Hello ladies! I can't believe that it's over 4 years since I started this thread! Just checking in to see how you are all doing?

Anyone gone on to have a second? We have just recently started trying at the end of October and I forgot how stressful all the symptom spotting and overthinking is! Haha
