Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@Kinsella82 thanks for that 😊 how long were your cycles? And how many days before did u start getting faint lines on the opk? I'm also worried about having a short LP. Just need to chill out really don't I?! 😂 x

@DaniX91 fertility specialists will often say every other day is ample. ☺️ perhaps a night off? ☺️☺️☺️

@Mycrazylife85 I've heard that but I'm such a control freak and last cycle (our 1st) we did it every other night and it didn't work so I'm thinking if we can do it every night then it might. I know that's ridiculous considering not many people get their bfp in cycle 1!

@DaniX91 in the months that we were TTC my cycles varied from 27 days to 37 days. And when I was doing cheapie opks I was getting faint lines for a long time each time. Then I moved onto cb digitalis for two months. First month got 3 days of flashing smileys before the solid and on the month we conceived I had ten days of flashing smileys and got solid next day. So I ovulated on around day 20 of that cycle.

@DaniX91 I know how you feel Ive just got my 5th day of negative ovulation tests in a row, I’m on CD14 I must have no LH in me at all as all I’m getting is the control line

@Kinsella82 yea the clear blue ones are really good but so expensive!
I used them last cycle and got a flashing smiley on cd14 then solid one the next day.
I had 4 left over so used them this cycle but nothing but a circle.

@whatsthecraic91 so frustrating isn't it! Yea mine have been the same, the control line and the rest is bright white!
How long are your cycles usually?

@DaniX91 it’s so annoying!! The last 2 have been 30 days but the ones before that were like 28-39 days! I really wanted to have ovulated and DTD properly this weekend as there will probably be none next week and no testing as we are going to Glastonbury

@Abi58 I’ve just tested now and got a faint line which reassures me as I wasn’t getting anything at all testing in the morning so I’m glad you’ve told me to try later!

@DaniX91 well done to you managing every night. You do deserve a night off!

So I've just been and checked for cm but didn't want to post the pics on here without warning, please would u look on the thread that I've made and see what u think? It's called, ovulating? Warning - pictures.

Just done an IC (only held my wee for an hour and a half) and got this.
I thought it would have been darker with the cm that I've got.
What does everyone think?

You might be getting ready to I get ewcm for about a week before ov so test again in about 4/5 hours and see if it's at darker. I'd say you're in your fertile window though so I'd get busy 😁

@DaniX91 I think it’s our time finally I’ve just done one there now and it’s the first time I’ve got a line too! Going to do another about 6pm to see if it’s darker!

@DaniX91 I know literally every single one up until now has been blank!! I actually forgot about it for a few minutes and then remembered to go look at it expecting nothing

What's your stats?
I'm 27, this is my first proper cycle since coming off the pill on 10th May (I did ovulate after my last pill but this is my first cycle since having a period)

Yay! Hopefully BFP buddies too!! I’m 28, took my last pill on Christmas Eve, cycle 6, TTC 1st baby, CD 15, this is my first cycle using OPKs to check if I’m ovulating before a trip to the doctors!

Are u taking any vitamins?
I'm guna go and do another opk now, managed to hold my wee and haven't really drank anything x

@DaniX91 yea I’m just taking folic acid! I just did my other OPK and it was lighter than my one earlier and I had only a small drink and hadn’t had a pee since I’m unsure of what this means as my one earlier wasn’t positive. Why is everything so complicated! I’ll maybe hold again and do another about 8/8.30pm

@whatsthecraic91 I did one at about 6ish last night and that was lighter than my earlier one too.
It is very complicated isn't it!
Dunno if I'm just stressing myself out more using the opks (didn't seem to get stressed with the clear blue ones) so I might ditch using them and just continue dtd

@whatsthecraic91 so I ignored my own advice and have just done an opk after holding my wee for 4 hours (have drank quite a bit though). Got this result, this is positive right?

@DaniX91 I was just on to say the same!! Yep that’s defo a positive you have there! Mine is defo positive today too! More baby dancing tonight for us then!
