Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@Kinsella82 that's lovely, positive news! I just assumed you'd have to have a bleed first but obviously not.

@DaniX91 i stopped the pill in December had my withdrawal bleed straight away and then nothing until the beginning of may when i got my first period! But don't worry, like @kinsella82 says you dont need a bleed to get pregnant...plus looks like you are ovulating regardless so it really doesnt matter.
@maddy0405 good luck with getting your cycles back in check, hopefully all the timings will work out how you want them too xx

@daniX91.. yes it was quite a wait lol. No i havent been tracking. I dont know if i ovulated during the four months without a period or not xx

I haven’t been testing for ovulation - I can get really worked up about timings ect and always wanting to have a plan in place but with trying for a baby I think that just happens as it happens so I’m really just trying to go with the flow!! I do feel much more productive and energised since stopping the pill. Was hoping for a bit of a labido boost but haven’t really noticed that much difference in that department 😂

@Kinsella82 hey, how u doing? When are u guna test? This waiting is bugging me already 😂

@DaniX91 I am going to wait as long as I can. I got solid smiley on fri so if I could sat as Ov day I'm only 3dpo now! A long wait ahead but the waiting doesn't usually start bugging me til a bit later on and I start getting symptoms which so far have always turned out to be af symptoms :(

@Kinsella82 yea I'm counting Sunday as mine so 2dpo for me. Which cycle are u on? I'm really hoping this is the one for u! I'm planning on testing a week on Sunday if I can, so the 9th. I know I've never been in this situation before so I might get impatient and not be able to wait til then but I feel like I'd rather wait longer and get a true result.

Hi! I've just come off the pill too. I did start another thread about it but so far no responses

We have a brief window for TTC at the moment, due to a house move next year - need to consider the stress of moving, maternity pay etc. So I stopped the pill this month, had my withdrawal bleed 5th - 8th May so now on CD24.

I've been on and off the pill for 11 years, but during the breaks (when I was single) my cycle wasn't too bad at getting back to normal, usually between 26 and 34 days.

I'm worried now though that it's going to start being annoying! I'm not temping or using OPKs at the moment because I wanted to just see what happened, but now I wish that I had! It's been a weird month with two phases of EWCM, so not sure if I'm about 8dpo or ovulating now. I have had cramps for the past 4 days now though, and had a weird brown blob (more like jelly than egg white) on day 21. Has anyone had weird stuff like that?

I did cave this morning and do a test, I just couldn't help myself! But naturally it was a BFN.

Hope you get AF soon to those of you waiting! I feel like it's permanently about to start at the moment.

@AdoraFlora hey! I think everyone reacts differently to stopping the pill tbh. I took my last one on the 10th May and had nothing but slight cramps, no bleeding. I started using ovulation tests about a week later purely because of how impatient I am and how controlling 😂 I like to know what's happening as much as I can!
According to the clear blue ovulation test I ovulated on Saturday or Sunday so I'm now in the 2WW! I'm glad I was testing cos I honestly thought I wouldn't ovulate until I'd bled but that obviously isn't the case!

Hey all hope everyone is keeping well.
Just wanted to update you

I have been having af type cramps all weekend and yesterday and fully expected to wake up this morning to AF Even though I'm only 11/12 dpo. But she wasn't there when I got up so I decided to do a test instead as with my POAS addiction I couldn't let this month go without doing it!
Did an IC first and then CB digital. I'm still in shock!

@kinsella82 congratulations!!! How many cycles did it take you? I’m currently on cycle 5! How are you feeling other than the cramps?

@whatsthecraic91 this was my fifth cycle too and I was fully convinced I was out! Feeling grand apart from the cramps which aren't as bad today.

@kinsella82 I’m currently on CD 26, I’m not properly tracking I’m kind of guessing when I’m ovulating. We have just been DTD all month cycles are ranging from 31-40 days at the minute which is annoying! Glad you’re feeling good hope all goes well for you

All of your stories have been really comforting to read and I want to join in as I feel pretty alone in worrying where the hell my period is!

I took my last pill mid January, had a withdrawal bleed annnnd nothing. I was on the pill for about 12 years (lucette), and was put on it for my skin as a teenager.
I'm pretty sure I ovulated about 2 weeks ago, and I thought I might finally get a period this weekend but NOPE. It's driving me potty not knowing what's going on. I'd love to be pregnant by the end of the year, but freaking out about WTH is wrong with me :( I also wish the Drs would take it a bit more seriously and not just go 'oh, it can take upto a year to come back, don't worry'...

@cjdb3 sorry to hear it's taking longer than you hoped. Everyone is different which is the frustrating thing as you just don't know where in that scale you will fall.

What makes you think you ovulated? (If it was about 2 weeks ago you could get af in the next week. Or (don't want to get your hopes up) if you ovulated you could be pregnant, have you done a test to rule it out?

@abi58 Hi! I know, it's pants! I'm trying not to get too down about it but I'm quite a control freak - like many of us it would seem! - and feel so out of control right now...
My skin went bananas (and has calmed down again) and I had that egg white mucus that everyone talks about, then lotiony type mucus (sorry for TMI!) which I'd not had before. But who knows! I've not tested again but maybe I will?!

@cjdb3 I think it's hard it's not just control of the situation it's the confusion and not knowing what our own body is doing. Definitely sucks! Have you already tested?

What I would do is buy some cheap opks off eBay or amazon and test once or twice a day and see how you get on (can get like 30 for £3 so not expensive) that should give you more of an idea 😊

Also don't worry there's no such thing as tmi here were all in the same boat!
