Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@Beddie11
I'm okay thank you, a bit tired and things but no morning sickness yet. I am 5+2 from date of my last period, but from my OPKs I believe that I will really hit 5 weeks tomorrow, as whilst by last period was Feb 18th my date of conception was around March 7th. So, that being said, I have a horrible feeling that the morning sickness may arrive soon!
It is an odd feeling, I feel blessed and so happy, yet equally it is a whole new brand of worry as I am just concerned about everything due to the fear of losing the little bean. I will feel so much better once I get past the 12 week scan as the risks drop significantly then, but that feels like a lifetime away!

Well that's a stark bfn for me with fmu on a frer at 13dpo. Af due today. I am going to try and move on for this month because I have obsessed. Gutted as we really did everything this month and still got it wrong :( I so so so wanted this this month

whatsthecraic91 · 05/04/2019 20:18

Currently on CD31, not even going to test for a good while as my last cycle was 39 days - so annoying!! Every cycle has been different lengths since I stopped my pill which is making it hard to know when I am ovulating Confused

Kinsella82 · 07/04/2019 10:29

Af arrived today :(

Beddie11 · 08/04/2019 20:49

@kinsella82 sorry to hear AF got you! Fingers crossed for a bfp for you @whatsthecraic91. Xx

Hi, thought I would share my experience. So I was on the same pill as you and came off it in october. I had my breakthrough bleed and then 35 days later my first true period. That was followed by a cycle at 33 days. Then in January I had a bleed for a day followed by a positive pregnancy test which we were so excited about. Sadly it resulted in a mc at 5 weeks and we have been trying ever since. I had my first proper cycle since the miscarriage in March and have just had a positive opk so I guess anything can happe . We caught relatively quickly after the pill so I guess it’s just based on what you body is doing xx

whatsthecraic91 · 11/04/2019 20:38

AF arrived yesterday Sad

Kinsella82 · 11/04/2019 21:06

Ah so sorry @whatsthecraic91 it's so bloody frustrating isn't it. How many days was your cycle in the end?
I'm just finished af now so ready to get back on the wagon. Exhausted

whatsthecraic91 · 11/04/2019 21:13

35 days this time! That’s my third pill free cycle they are different every time which is very frustrating!! Period is extremely heavy this time too for some reason Confusedcompletely wrecked, thank god it’s Friday tomorrow Grin

AfterLaughter · 11/04/2019 21:15

Yes! Stopped taking it 2 nights ago. Got a fake positive OPK this afternoon Shock But DH has a sick bug so I’m not letting him anywhere near me Grin

Mycrazylife85 · 12/04/2019 07:42

So after 17 years on the pill (coming off in January) I got my AF three days ago on what would be day 76 (I'm 33). One day of not a lot, one fairly heavy and nothing really yesterday. We will see what the next few days bring. It'll be interesting to see how long it is until the next one Hmm had dreadful backache yesterday though..

Kinsella82 · 12/04/2019 08:26

@whatsthecraic91 mine have been the same. I've had three since coming off the pill too and they were 37, 27 and 33 days. It's so hard to know what length it's going to be which makes tracking things harder. This month I thought I covered all bases and dtd enough but still didn't work. Best of luck to us both for next month. Hope you can take it a little easy this weekend x

Beddie11 · 13/04/2019 20:48

@mycrazylife85 did u get any symptoms of AF before it arrived?
@kinsella82 glad your back on the wagon, fingers crossed this is your month! Xx

Beddie11 · 13/04/2019 20:50

@afterlaughter, welcome! Which pill were you on? Are you trying for your first? Xx

Kinsella82 · 13/04/2019 22:00

Thanks @Beddie11 really hoping it is!
How are you getting on? Any sign of AF?

Beddie11 · 13/04/2019 22:30

@kinsella82 nooooope no signs yet! Im back at the doctors in a few weeks, by which time it will be 5 months! Hoping it comes before then xx

92AP · 14/04/2019 08:00

Hey everyone. So I have been getting a little worried as I ovulated around cd24 last time and it was coming up to that and id had no positive opks. Last 2 days they have looked a little stronger but still not what would be classed as positive. Today which is cd24 I have gotten a surge in my BBT and I am not ill nor have I been drinking. Do we think this means I have ovulated? Last cycle I had awful pain and loads of ewcm but not had either in last few days. So confused!

Mycrazylife85 · 14/04/2019 23:30

@Beddie11 initially I'd have said no, but I downloaded the Flo app and have been logging my symptoms on it. I noticed 11 days before my pill is lodged 'sticky' discharge. That's interesting. I noticed throughout the 70 odd days feeling twinges in my ovaries but I've got PCOS so I couldn't be sure what it was but that was about it. Must admit I didn't feel particularly pms'y but bizarrely I've felt really hormonal today. I cried seeing cows in the bottom of the field near us as they are so gorgeous and I promised them I wouldn't eat them Grin I hope it's not another 74 days again. Mind you, my period was so light too. I only had one day I needed a towel, the rest I used a pantry liner. That can't be a good sign.. Hmm

Mycrazylife85 · 14/04/2019 23:32

11 days before my period even

Beddie11 · 17/04/2019 22:26

@mycrazylife85 i really hope your cycles start to settle down for you, its veru frustrating! How did u find out you had pcos? Its something ive been wondering/worrying about with my lack of period for all this time xx

Mycrazylife85 · 18/04/2019 08:02

@Beddie11 thank you lots. I was diagnosed when I was 16. I had awful awful acne, thinning head hair (pretty see through at the front to be honest) and quite dark hair in my arms and legs. I first had blood tests for my hormone levels which showed my testosterone levels to be high, followed by external and internal ultrasounds. I've had one internal since following a period of 5 weeks on the pill. The scan showed no active cysts at that stage. Since coming off the pill I've been following a lower GI diet and started taking Inositol to try and regulate my insulin levels and re-joined the gym. It's worth popping to your doctors to see if they'll check your bloods. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Beddie11 · 19/04/2019 19:47

@mycrazylife85 oh wow, quite an experience then for you finding out! I had some bloods done a couple weeks ago to look for anything thats stopping AF from coming and all came back fine except a couple of my liver function tests were out of range.. think thats unrelated to the AF issue though lol. Im feeling pretty down today just cant believe that its now almost the end of April and im no further forward in my ttc journey than i was in december x

Abi58 · 19/04/2019 23:38

Me! 3/4 weeks! I wanted to read more of the recent posts but it keeps freezing hopefully once I've posted it will go straight to the end so I can have a look :)

I already have really sore nipples and had a clear stretchy jelly like discharge yesterday when I wiped (sorry tmi!)

I feel all over the place! My body doesn't know what's going on!

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 20/04/2019 07:52

@Beddie11 sorry to hear you’re feeling down :(, it’s so hard when you have no idea what your body is doing but it’s really positive that your tests were fine 😊. There’s nothing wrong it’s just taking its time! I understand how frustrating though, keep us posted on when AF arrives 😊!
