Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

So frustrating @Beddie11 and totally understandable that it's bringing you down. Take some consolation from the fact that me and you came off the pill around the same time and I'm still not pregnant so fingers crossed we both end up pregnant at the same time xx

@Beddie11 I'm sorry you were having a down day, I hope today was better. I know the answers are on here somewhere but the thread is so large now. When was it you came off the pill? Do you mind me asking if your weight is 'average' (bmi) and has this changed since coming off also?

Thanks everyone for the support i did have a down day but then just tried to enjoy the weekend and the lovely weather!
I came off the pill in december, and yeah my bmi is normal, i did lose a bit of weight after stopping the pill, think it was probably just like water weight, i dunno, but deffo put the weight loss down to stopping the pill.

How’s everyone getting on now? I have a UTI again!! Second time since stopping my pill at Christmas! Is anyone else having this problem? I’m ovulating this week so this means no BD which is annoying! Then I will almost certainly get thrush after taking these antibiotics & then AF week. So disheartening

@whatsthecraic91 I was always told to have a wee after to push out any bacteria. A lot of people don't but my doctor said lying down for 10-15 minutes before going will give enough time for sperm to get where it needs to and lying down all night isn't needed. Not sure if it's you or not but I always do this

I always go for a pee after sex so I don’t think that’s causing it

Hi all, hows everyone doing? I finally got my period yayy, just over 4.5months since stopping the pill. Soo now im back in the game lol xx

@Beddie11 yay that’s great news!! I’m sure you’re so relieved!! I’m currently on CD28 and my cycles have been quite long and different every month so I’ll be leaving it a week or 2 before I test. Don’t think it will have happened this month tho as I have had a UTI and thrush so we had to put BD on hold for a week or 2 which was annoying

@Beddie11 yay!! That’s exciting!! Is it hurting yet? My first one after the pill hurt like crazy!! Hope it’s not too painful!
I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago so managed it on my second cycle after pill albeit actually 4 months later.
Fingers crossed for your BFP soon!!

@whatsthecraic91 ahh utis suck! You never know though,it only takes one time at the right time so you might get lucky!

That's great news!

I got my first one this weekend too! Friday and Saturday light with spotting on Sunday (very light like my withdrawal bleeds were)
Not sure whether it's good I've had one or not as it was so light :s

@abi58 yayy! How long have u been waiting for yours? Mine was heavier than my withdrawal bleed used to be, and its lasted alittle longer. But i have been waiting a long while for mine lol so i didnt think it would be light xx

Great news @Beddie11 fingers crossed for plain sailing from now on.

I'm on cd3 after another unsuccessful month. This month has hit me very hard and I just feel so so crap

I should have had my withdrawal bleed at the end of March but nothing at all until the weekend just gone. Annoyingly tho Evening I'm getting like pulling pains low down there (about 12 months ago I started getting a similar pain just before my withdrawal bleed)
Good sign thought that yours was heavier as the pill normally makes it lighter

@kimsella82, sorry to hear your feeling crap, try and stay positive, i know its hard though. We have to look at it like this, in the great scheme of things we havent been trying long, we are still very early on in our ttc journeys. Now that ive finally stated a cycle we are on almost the same cycle day, im on day 4 so we really are in this together now lol! Xx

@abi58, your around the same day in your cycle as us now too! So we can all be here for eachother and compare notes along the way! Xxx

@Abi58 i dont think we know your story do we? Is this your first baby your ttc? Kinsella and I stopped our pill at the same time, im trying for no1 aged 28 xx

It's just taking its toll but I'll be ok. Feel like I've wasted the year wishing away each fortnight and now I'm feeling guilty about that.

Ttc #1 I'm 28 as well 

I came off the pill at the end of March. Strangely no withdrawal bleed.

Finally got what I think was my first non pill AF on Friday (just gone) so light I only used a panty liner and that wasn't even needed for most, Saturday was the same and Sunday was even lighter. Nothing by Monday.

Today I had some twinges, best way I can describe is like a pulling/tugging pain down there (I started getting this about 10-12 months ago but it was like a sign my withdrawal bleed was about to start and mainly when I was on the toilet (sorry tmi) (so thought muscles maybe)
Today is day 2 with no af and it was just while stood up normally so I'm a bit confused!

If that was my first af I'm now on cd 5 

When did you and @Kinsella82 come off the pill?

@Abi58 hi!! I came off it and Xmas. Had withdrawal bleed straight away and cycles averaging 29 days ever since. I'm 36 TTC no. 3

@kinsella82, i definitely go through stages like you where i feel really down about it, especially because id not even had AF yet. For the most part though you just need to carry on with your life as normal, im sure your little ones keep you very busy lol, and just take each week as it comes xx

@Abi58 so your quite early in your ttc journey too! Its very odd that you didnt get your withdrawal bleed, have u always had it in the past?
Its just nice to hear peoples stories and have somewhere to come and chat about it. I came off the pill the 17th of December and i believe @kinsella82 was about a week or so after that? (Sorry,correct me if im wrong) as youve seen from my previous posts i had my withdrawal bleed straight away but up until friday hadnt had a proper period. Id been to the doctors for blood tests etc which showed no issues, and then lo and behold AF showed up out of the blue. So im now on my first cycle since stopping the pill and i finally feel like im actually in the game. Theres no telling whether i was ovulating or not in the months without a period. If i was ovulating then ive obviously just not caught. I prefer to think that i wasnt ovulating and that now ive had AF i will start ovulating and get caught nice and quickly but thats just wishful thinking xx

@Kinsella82  what cycle day are you on now?

@Beddie11 yes like clockwork! I had missed a few pills in the last pack and had the tiniest amount of spotting mid way through so that could be the reason I guess...not missed many before but think I knew I was stopping so wasn't as careful haha!

That's good! Wow Friday start we are on the exact same cycle

So today I decided to try and see if I can check my cm and cervix(never tried before so had no idea! I want to say it's high and soft but not sure what I'm comparing it to (that's just from reading online how far fingers go in etc)

Sorry tmi coming up! When I pulled my fingers out it was stretchy and clearing but also pink....what is going on?! I'm only cd6 :s
