Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

Thanks girls just so confused! And nervous to believe it because I think this means I Ov on the 8th day in my cycle and I'm now on CD18 so I should be just barely pregnant if I am and I wouldn't have thought the line would even show. Not to mention I also expected only to be OV today! So doubly confused but I suppose it is possible to Ov early

@kinsella82, i wouldnt over think it! Just do a frer tomorrow morning if u can and see what the outcome is. Fingers crossed xxx

@Kinsella82 I was just having a read of this thread to see if anyone had fallen quickly after the pill and seen the pic you've posted! This is possible. It happened to me. I ovulated really early in my cycle (unbeknown to me! We just had sex every other day after the last day of my period) and when I was dated etc at my 12wk scan I was further on that I thought and had ovulated really early. I had a 33 day cycle as well! Congratulations x

@canonlyhopexo oh that's good to know!! My cycles haven't settled down since stopping the pill at Xmas so had a 27 day cycle then a 37 day cycle and my app was predicting a 31 day for this cycle! I've bought mores tests now so going to try to hold out til tomorrow morning.

@Kinsella82 I wasn't on the pill to be fair but I've got endometriosis so I wasn't in the best condition in there for falling pregnant. My cycles were pretty regular give or take a day or so but if i had gone by my fertile window only using Flo app I would've been getting it totally wrong! Science works in weird ways lol. I did my test 3 days before my period was due and it was strong positive so don't keep us waiting too long to 100% confirm! :)

I'm not celebrating yet at all. Feel numb here with the not knowing. Tomorrow morning can't come quick enough.

Update: after yesterday's bfp I spent all day thinking about it and couldn't wait so held my urine yesterday for over four hours and POAS again and it was a line again but this was a bit faded which was fine as it was not fmu but this mornings was a bfp :( which was fmu.

Thanks @Beddie11 I'm ok. I think the only thing keeping me positive is that yesterday afternoon I also got a positive opk - really really dark line so I don't know what went on yesterday but hopefully I'm ovulating now!

Hi ladies can I join?

I took my last pill last Monday and have had my withdrawl bleed (which I was very happy about as more often than not I didn't get a monthly bleed). I have been on the pill for around 14 years (various types) So have no idea what my normal cycle is! Now just waiting to see if I get a normal period 🤞 I have downloaded the Flo app to try and track my cycles better. Can't decide if I should use OPKs in the next few days or just wait and see what happens! What do you think?

Came off the pill in January and nothingS I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 16 having been to the hospital for the usual undignified tests. I’ve suffered with extremely thin hair (head) and excess facial hair for years. I’m now 33. I had dreadful acne when I was younger and can’t really remember what my pre-pill periods were like. I had my last internal ultrasound around 3 years ago when the sonographer told me there was no sign of PCOS! Hurrah, how wonderful I thought! A true miracle I thought- but I didn’t believe them really.

I’ve been on the pill ever since I was diagnosed. Other than my usual withdrawal bleed there has been nothing. I’m on day 62. Nothing. I don’t actually expect to get one either but hey ho. Good luck to you all

Got a question for you....I had my last period on 28th Feb....however that was after a 55 day cycle, my previous 2 cycles were only 31 days....(stopped the pill in October)....I’m not tracking ovulation as such as I didn’t want to get into all that straight away.....question is Sunday will be 31 days....if she doesn’t come should I test or just wait and see???

Hi all!! So I came off the pill in February. Had withdrawal bleed as planned WC 18 Feb. And since then I've had nothing. DH and I have been DTD pretty much every 1-3 days (he cant believe his luck!) so POAS last weekend and was BFN...what now?? Do we just continue DTD until I either get symptoms or AF arrives?? Or shall I do another test this weekend? I'm looking out for EWCM and had some discharge at the weekend but dont know if that was normal, ovulation or implantation?! Sooo confusing x

@MiaMoo007 I think it can take quite a while to get a regular cycle back after coming off the pill. We aren't TTC until around June after a holiday but I have stopped taking my pill now so I can get back into some regular cycle. I have downloaded he Flo app which seems pretty good at telling you when you should be ovulating etc. Might be worth doing an OPK around the time you "should" be ovulating to see if you are.

@miamoo007, welcome! When i first came off the pill i had a withdrawal bleed and like you was then expecting a normal period within the weeks after that. At first i was poas alot as i thought that as there was no period then maybe i could be pregnant. Ive had a couple of shows of ewcm which is promising also. You could poas again at the weekend, it wont hurt, theres always a chance you could have been caught. Im still waiting for a period over 3months on and now i just poas if im going somewhere that i would be drinking alcohol just to check. We dtd regularly and are just hoping for the best so thats all i can recommend you do really 😊 xx

Also, welcome to all the other newbies, we all seem to be waiting on AF or BFPs and my fingers are crossed for all of us!
@kam610 i think its a great idea to come off the pill now to regulate your cycle ready for TTC, i really wish i had done the same! X
