Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

I took my last pill on the 15th of this month so final break through has been on gone. I was on it for about 9 years, took a break of a few months last year, and then went back on it for 7 or 8 months. Hoping it wont take my body too long to get back to normal! Best of luck with it, such exciting times!

@kinsella82 im not looking forward to my first non pill period at all 🤔 who knows what its going to be like! I only ever had light bleeds with the pill aswell,literally only a day of loght bleeding usually! @Peaky297 ooo good luck in your FW! Hopefully this is the one for you! Im currently approximately 9dpo and just playing the waiting game really, not sure when to expect AF or when to test.. what do u guys think? Xx

Oh @Beddie11 I really hope you don't get anything near what I'm experiencing right now! Honestly haven't felt as bad since my teenage pre pill days! And that was neither today nor yesterday!!!

I was the same as you - thought I ovulated and tested a couple of times about a week after and then about 10 days after ish. And then AF arrived. Only for it arriving id probably still be testing 😂

@kinsella82 soo how many days post approximate ovulation did AF arrive? On Saturday il be two weeks post ovulation so thinking to expect it then? But then again I've no idea how long my cycles are xx

@Beddie11 I estimate that it arrived 13-14 days after ovulation.

@kinsella82 well time will tell for me i suppose! I have a confession, i did a test this evening and BFN. But it was an evening wee, and i know its probably abit early to get a bfp but still its dissapointing xx

Ah @Beddie11 it's very hard to resist resting isn't it? Don't get disheartened. It's still early days after ovulation - maybe test again if you haven't had af by Saturday and try fmu xx

Morning 😊 update from me: I took a test this morning and it was negative. So the bleeding must of been random spotting! Going to leave it for now and wait for AF.

What tests are you guys using? I’ve been buying the Boots own cheapest ones (£4.99 for pack of 2). They probably aren’t the most sensitive but I just can’t bring myself to pay £9/10 on a test that’s going to be negative anyway!

So decided to put off TTC in Jan because of my smear.
Had it this morning, they made me POAS before they did it, which was negative as expected.
Going through ovulation without trying was a struggle, especially because I felt super horny through it (TTI).
But now it's back to business!

Finally got AF properly after 5 days of spotting/wiping!! So would I take my cycle length from the spotting started or from when AF properly showed her face? She’s kicking my ass too cant remember it being like this before my pill days 😓

@whatsthecraic91 sorry AF got you! I put in my spotting days on Fertility Friend and it just left a little note but on the day I put as light/medium flow it counted it as CD1 so I personally think it's the first proper day of AF

Good morning ladies

Just been catching up. I finally had my break through bleed over the weekend, nearly 60 days after stopping my pill, so just now waiting to see when AF turns up.
All those with AF I hope they are not too bad for too long, I can't remember what they were like.
Fingers crossed for everyone 😊

Hi ladies hope your all well, just a quick update. Im 13dpo ( or 13 days post EWCM) today, still no AF. Took a test this morning BFN xx

How are we all ladies? Feeling very strange the past couple of weeks, emotional, tired, breakout of spots. Is this hormones settling down? Definitely BFN so hoping it's things settling down. Hope you all have a restful Sunday x

I had symptoms like that approx 2-4 weeks after coming off the pill. Spots, emotional, extra tired etc but all that has eased now after another couple of weeks.

Has anyone had spotting and EWCM on CD 8? Happening to me today. I'd hardly be ovulating this early? It's all so hard second guessing everything

Hi ladies! So I stopped taking the pill on Jan 8. Got break through bleed Jan 11-14. Just got AF today. Hoping I can finally start tracking cycles after this!

After a one 26 day cycle and one 28 day cycle I was expecting my next period to start Friday just gone. But no sign of it or if it coming (I usually get awful cramps I day or two before) and I'm definitely not pregnant coz I had to stay off the sex until I had my smear last week.

Just wanna have my period so that I know my next attempt is coming up.

Had all the emotions and tired after off the pill! Headaches too, but they've subsided so hang in there.

Finally AF - first real one in about 10 years but took longer to get to which I think means long cycle. It was only 4 days though, shorter than withdrawal bleeds. Do those apps like Flo then adjust ovulation dates or wait to see if it's consistently shorter but longer cycles? Not sure whether to rely on these ones or not.

I stopped taking the pill late December. Had breakthrough bleed 2 weeks after then a 28 day cycle followed by a 15 day cycle so I think my body’s trying to get into a rhythm again. The only symptom I’ve had is constant low level nausea and loss of appetite which is crazy. It’s so cruel how pregnancy symptoms mimic those of coming off the pill.

Morning ladies! Just checking in... according to ovia I have just finished my fertile window and am heading in to the 2 week wait. Hoping last month's mad symptoms in the latter part of my cycle were related to coming off the pill and won't happen again as they weren't fun!
How is everyone else getting on?
