Some good tips there @Cocobana, I think I'm definitely going to start hiding veg in her dinners. She was never great to begin with (always loved her fruit over veg) but I took comfort in the fact that she at least loved sweetcorn and peas - she won't even eat that anymore. 😣
I've got a baby blender so I'm going to try and hide some veg in her sauces. She loves pasta so I'll blend lots of extra stuff in there. I know what you mean though, I'm always so proud when she starts eating something new!!

Awh I'm sorry you're still poorly @Scarletrose18, nothing worse than a tummy bug is there? It is just you in the house with it? If anything at least you didn't get it when you were on your lovely trip, how bad would that have been?!

Not sure when I'll test, my pregnancy tests haven't arrived yet, I think they're due to come in the next few days.

Oh no, sorry about AF @Mfbroome!! I don't think you can help being disappointed really. I'm 100% sure I'm not pregnant this cycle but I'll still be annoyed when AF arrives. 🙄

Scarletrose18 · 02/01/2019 13:56

Aww im sorry AF arrive @mfbroome Its a horrible feeling isnt it. Especially when you get your hopes up. You will feel better tomorrow 🙂. Im now feeling like im on a fresh cycle and a fresh start so im ready to try again when my fertile window is here. Positive vibes for January! Yes I put my order in for opks, I actually didnt order any more before now because I thought if I get a bfp then I wont need them lol.

@pasta I dont think they have it, ds had a runny smelly nappy today but he would get that every so often so its hard to tell but dh is fine. I know!! What a nightmare that would of been... no romantic hotub visits for me 😂🤣
Tbh I had an extremely busy stressful month in December (apart from my break) so I worried that I would of been to anxious to concieve. Trying to eat better and be more relaxed in Jan so that i have a better chance.
Why do you not feel very hopeful @pasta?

@Scarletrose18 I’ll try and wait for first day of missed a/f but know I’ll cave before then and would be crazy to put these tests to waste 🤣 Any sign of a/f for you? How are you feeling?

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 14:03

@Mfbroome oh no sorry af arrived and yes put that Xmas Choccy to good use! New year new cycle for you and let hope 2019 bring lots of baby dust!! 😃👍🏼✨✨✨✨

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 14:11

@PastaSauceHoarder no problem. I don’t even bother blending it 🤣 I just cook the veg soft and ds gets a chunky veg sauce I think my little monkey will eat pretty much anything covered in passata and cheese.
Ds loves his fruit too, he’ll just eat raspberries for breakfast if he had his way. Yes it’s great when they eat new stuff it’s like yes! something else I can give to eat now! I think it’s normal for little ones to be abit fussy I suppose until they can tell us what they want to eat better. I guess certain days I myself don’t fancy certain food and other days I do.

Scarletrose18 · 02/01/2019 14:13

Yes im on day 2 of AF @coco
So cd2 for me and a fresh start at ttc 🙂

No your right, would be a shame to waste them 😂

@Scarletrose18 hope your ds doesn’t catch it. Sorry your month has been stressful and fingers crossed for a lovely relaxing January for you. Hope you’ve managed to have a rest whilst your poorly. Flowers x 😃

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 14:17

@Scarletrose18 sorry I’ve probably missed a message somewhere 🤦🏼‍♀️ This this means 2019 is your year! I don’t feel
Hopeful this month and even though it’s only 8dpo I just feel like I’ll probably get af this month. This is only cycle 2 so maybe being realistic I know it’s too early and unlikely. I expect to wait at least a few months if lucky to be honest. I have heard stories of it taking ages to
conceive second dc when it happened straight away the first time and it’s freaked me out! It’s made me think that maybe I have to wait longer this time to balance the first one out or something Shock

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 14:17

This just*

MummyBearBoo · 02/01/2019 15:57

Hi guys I’m cd 3 no idea when ovulation is due coz last two were cd 22 then cd 26! I’ll just start do OPKs on about cd 14 in case it’s early!!
Fingers crossed for those still in!!
My other resolution is to lose another stone - I’ve lost a stone since mid October and now my BMI shows me as a healthy weight on the NHS calculator but at the higher end - to be completely in the middle of healthy I need to lose another 1st 3lbs so I’ll be well on the well on the way if I can lose another stone!! I’m aiming to lose at least 1lb a week I lost 2 lbs last week though I’ve no idea how with the amount are and drank on NYE and had Pizza Hut last night - tho only half a pizza!!

MummyBearBoo · 02/01/2019 16:04

@Cocobana I got pregnant easily first and second time tho so it's doesn't mean it has to balance out - I'll probably ending up waiting ages this time for baby #2 1failed pregnancy and 2 unsuccessful cycles fo far - best of luck xxx

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 16:44

@MummyBearBoo congrats on your weight loss and all of your motivation over Christmas especially, you’re doing amazingly!
Oh that’s good to hear that you conceived easily both times. I guess I’ve been overthinking things. I’m 9dpo tomorrow so I shall just have to be patient but I’m feeling like I’m going to come on any second and I’m not due until a weeks time so I’d say I’m probably out this month!

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/01/2019 19:53

I just made a simple tomato and cheese pasta tonight which my little one wolfed down so I put a toddler-sized portion to one side and thats gone in the freezer now. Smile I'm going to make a list of freezable foods that I know she likes and make a point of cooking them this week. That might be a veeeery short list though. 🙄😂

Random question ladies, but what sort of changing bag did/do you use? Its my birthday next month and I'm thinking about asking DH for a new one (I'm exciting, I know). I actually got a lovely Disney one from Cath Kidson last year which I love but its awfully weather-worn now. I'm kind of thinking I'd like one that looks more like a handbag now, if that makes sense?

Thats amazing about your weight loss @MummyBearBoo, well done!! I'm sure you'll lose the stone in no time, sounds like you definitely have the willpower! 💪🏼

MummyBearBoo · 02/01/2019 20:17

Thanks @PastaSauceHoarder and @Cocobana - I originally had a yummy mummy cross the shoulder bag but now my DD is toilet trained and almost 3 I don't need as much stuff so I use a Cath Kidstone rucksack ( I did use this before she was toilet trained too) it's easier to carry and get to everything coz it zips right down and I no longer needed the bottle warmers I got with my previous bagxxx

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/01/2019 20:32

Ohh yes my SIL has a Yummy Mummy one, I like the designs on them! Hers has penguins on it. 🐧

I really like quirky and colourful designs, the Cosatto ones are catching my eye. I love my current bag now but its so clunky - DD will be near 20 months when my birthday comes so she doesn't need so much stuff out and about now.

MummyBearBoo · 02/01/2019 20:39

Yeah mine was navy with white butterflies and a cupcake on the front pocket - I really liked it but when I didn’t need a lot of the stuff anymore I got a rucksack it also meant I could carry my DD in my front in a carrier when she was younger.

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 20:47

@PastaSauceHoarder wow that sounds great. It’ll be dead handy to whip out the freezer when you can’t be bothered to cook or you and your dh are having something little one can’t have.
Since ds was born I used a big waterproof but stylish changing bag I got from eBay new, it was amazing because it had so many pockets and zipped compartments and came with a matching compact changing mat and insulated pockets. It also matched my pram at the time. I loved it and it did it’s job but acouple of months ago I made the decision to stop using it, it was getting abit worn after 20 months of continuous use. I also felt I didn’t need one anymore and wanted my handbag back!
I now just use a light rugsack, it has in it at all times nappies, spare top, wipes, nappy sacks. When I run out the door all I need to do it add into it a travel water breaker and some snacks. It fits in basket on bottom of pushchair and I just wear a little handbag with my essentials in. I’ve never looked back and feel abit more like me again not lugging the changing bag about. Plus with it just being a plain light rugsack dh has no excuse for not taking it out either so it’s not just my responsibility.
I’m thinking about getting ds one of those little back packs with reins attached so he can keep his cuddly toy and acouple of his light things in there, they look so cute.

Cocobana · 02/01/2019 20:48

rucksack* lol this phone changing my words!

Cocobana · 03/01/2019 14:38

Hi ladies, how are you all today? I’m 9dpo today and stupidly did a pregnancy test and it was negative as expected but still abit of a disappointment there wasn’t at least a faint line there! I know I took it far too early really and I still don’t know for certain but I reckon I’m probably out his month. I have no symptoms or anything apart from feeling like af will be on its way. I think they need to invent a test that picks up feriliaation so we can know earlier lol you’d think in this technologically advanced age they’d have one 🤣

PastaSauceHoarder · 03/01/2019 16:55

I'm like you @Cocobana, I've not had a single symptom or anything so I'm fairly certain I'm out. Although last cycle was proof enough for me that symptoms mean naff all. 🙄 But I still think I'm definitely not pregnant yet. 😑

Are you going to try and test again tomorrow? It is still early!
That pregnant test invention sounds like it would save a lot of time, I'd definitely buy them! 😂

I've had a nice day, met up with mum friend of mine who has a little boy just a little bit younger than my DD. She casually asked me when I would TTC my second and I just said we were seeing how it would go - I tactfully left out the bit about constantly peeing on OPKs and having religiously timed sex and generally being a bit obsessed with getting pregnant. 🙄

Cocobana · 03/01/2019 18:00

@PastaSauceHoarder exactly I guess it’s impossible to tell but just best to think the worst then we won’t be as disappointed.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to test again tomorrow as I know I will even though I know it’ll be a negative! How about you?
Pleased you’ve had a nice day, it’s nice to have mum friends isn’t it, they just understand more. Haha did you do the whole ‘oh we’re just letting nature take it’s course and not actively trying or anything! Grin’ haha I don’t blame you, at end of days it’s your business and nobody else’s. Can you imagine people’s faces if we were brutally honest and said ‘well actually I’m ovulating right now so I’m going to have to shoot out of here and jump on my dh!’ 🤣

Cocobana · 03/01/2019 18:40

How are the feeling at @scarletrose18? I hope you’re getting over your bug Flowers

Mfbroome · 03/01/2019 18:41

No symptoms might not be a bad thing girls! I had no symptoms with my ds until I started having food adversions at 7weeks (ish).
Fingers crossed xxx one of us has to fall pregnant soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mfbroome · 03/01/2019 18:42

I've had to fib on o many occasions over xmas when people asked me when number 3 was coming!
I was like oh well u never know. Really I'm thinking I'm bloody trying for it to be now! 😂😂😂 plating it cool xxx
