Hi @Blueflower22 I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you ✨✨✨👍🏼. Ds is almost 2 now so neither, I think it was easier back then lol! I breastfeed exclusively for the first six months and then he was formula fed with a sippy cup after that. My advice to you would be to just see how you feel once the baby is born and don’t let anybody pressure you. Do what is right for you, Fed is best and happy Mummy equals happy baby.

PastaSauceHoarder · 27/12/2018 18:34

Thats another factor that lead us to converting her cot into a toddler bed @Cocobana, DD has suddenly developed some pretty impressive climbing skills!
I understand your apprehension though, I felt a bit iffy at first but so far its really doing her good. Its the putting her down into the cot once she was asleep that we always struggled with, DD is a cuddley sleeper so even when in a deep sleep she'd noticed that we weren't holding her and she'd wake back up again.
Oh and she's 18 months old now, growing up far too fast. Smile

I breastfed my DD @Blueflower22, I only stopped last month when she was 17 months! I loved every moment of it, even though it was very difficult at the very beginning (I was definitely ready to stop when I did though! 😂)
For the first three months or so of her life though I pumped breastmilk for DD and she took it through a bottle. What do you think you will do? Smile

Cocobana · 27/12/2018 18:45

Thanks @PastaSauceHoarder we have decided we’re going to convert it to a toddler bed tomorrow, you’ve inspired me to change it! Also like you I’m scared of ds climbing out of his cot in the night and a lot more of a drop that way! I think there’s a little mini side that we can put on with gap in middle so ds can climb in and out. Ds is the same he can wake up when he feels you drop him into his cot and I think he may go to sleep from start in his bed if we convert it (I’m praying he will anyway!)

Blueflower22 · 27/12/2018 19:01

@Cocobana Thankyou! Hoping to
God for good news. did your son find the change of milk difficult ?

I'm hoping to breastfeed as well as I don't think formula is that healthy and would prefer natural as possible.

@PastaSauceHoarder I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Hmm thinking of breastfeeding but not sure of what the disadvantages are?

Scarletrose18 · 27/12/2018 19:07

Im going to test tomorrow morning @cocobana will be 10dpo prob a little early but i have 30 tests, would be rude not to use them 😂🤣😂 I have had light cramps this evening again, just a little bit but it could just be something i always feel. Trying to ignore anything because I dont want to drive myself crazy.
Aww shame you feel its going in slow. What about a tww project for you? Is there a nice job around the house you wanted to do or do you have any hobbies you could make something?

😂🤣😂 at your ds picking out clothes thats so funny, and so cute!

Any negative opk today yet @pasta? yes just an hour away so wasnt too bad.
Thats great pasta, does your dd stay mostly in one place in bed or roll around? My ds rolls and wriggles all over his cot in his sleep, without a side there im sure he would roll out with a bump everynight 😂

Im sorry you havnt got your bfp yet @blue its such a horrible feeling. As the others said it could just be too early. When is your AF due?
I breastfed also. I stopped at about 14 months. Breastfeeding is lovely but I agree its so hard at the start. My ds had a bad tongue tie that he had to have cut at 5 days old so my poor nipples were raw, I think that made things hard but its so worth it.

@Blueflower22 no he was fine with the change but by that age I was weaning him anyway so I think the food was the bigger change lol. I wanted to stop earlier for personal reasons but he wouldn’t take a bottle so we got into a bit of a pickle. I also developed major new Mummy guilt that I had to give ds the best and got alittle obsessed with feeding and pumping to the detriment of my own health. I finally found a soft spouted cup which was rated as great for breastfed babies and sure enough he loved it. I wouldn’t make too many decisions now though as you don’t know how you’re going to feel. My friend for instance was all set to breastfeed and then baby was born and wouldn’t latch and she just wasn’t able to do it. You never know how you’ll feel and I think there’s enough pressure on new Mums, just take one day at a time. There aren’t disadvantages as far as breastmilk goes; as we know the benefits are widely publicised.

Cocobana · 27/12/2018 19:50

@Scarletrose18 that’s great, tomorrow morning is so close! lol exactly you need your moneys worth out of those tests, you may as well take a few. Oh yeah and early pregnancy symptoms are so similar to pmt it’s hard to tell. I thought it would go slow with Christmas being over but it’s actually started to go fast so that’s good and still New Year to come yet. January usually always drags though at the best of times! Are you home now? Did your ds enjoy his little holiday? I can’t believe Christmas is over, it went far too fast.

Scarletrose18 · 27/12/2018 21:58

Yes just chilling out at home now watching counting on 🙂 Yes he loved it! @cocobana How are you?
Thats good its feeling a little quicker. I feel like i would like to start a hobby. I wanted to try and paint but I never got around to it... prob wouldnt have the time now with my ds Smile

PastaSauceHoarder · 27/12/2018 22:44

Glad you had a lovely trip @Scarletrose18, its nice to get back to your own home though isn't it? Smile
Painting sounds so lovely, I'd love to be able to paint but I know I'm crap at it. I like to draw instead which is a nice distraction (though ironically I only draw maternity/pregnancy/mother-and-baby stuff 😂)
Are you quite arty? Smile

Ooh yeah forgot to say, OPK was negative today - still dark but not as dark as the control line. So officially in my TWW!

@Cocobana aww, thats exciting, I hope your DS likes his big boy bed tomorrow night! Does it usually take long to get him to sleep or is he quite good? DD went down so easy again tonight, its just a story, her dummy and a cuddle and shes off!

Scarletrose18 · 28/12/2018 08:53

No im not good at art at all 😂 but I would like to try. @pasta yes slept great in my own bed. Are you good at drawing?

Took a test this morning BFN. Not even a hint of a line. I know its still early, will try again tomorrow.

@Scarletrose18 it’s nice when you first get home from being away isn’t it? I always appreciate my own bed when I get back and sitting on my own sofa. I used to love reading but don’t have as much time for it now with ds lol but when I get the odd moment it’s really therapeutic. I used to go play tennis and badminton but again don’t get to do that as much either! I am however still able to listen to music which I love. Dh being fond of gadgets bought us or rather ‘himself’ lol Alexa echo for Christmas. It’s great though as it means I can get it to play any song I fancy while doing the housework and seeing to ds! Thank god nobody around to hear my singing 🤣

Cocobana · 28/12/2018 10:23

@Scarletrose18 you still have such a good chance, it’ll just be too early that’s all ✨✨✨

Cocobana · 28/12/2018 10:28

@PastaSauceHoarder thanks I’m really excited to convert it but at the same time I hope he likes it! I suppose he can’t hate it more than he does his cot! He does sleep okay in his cot once asleep apart from some wake ups but he’s not good at settling in it from the start. No ds has never been a great sleeper, his sleep has improved recently but Christmas seems to have knocked him off. I think it was all do the excitement just seemed to have unsettled him abit. Me and dh joke that when ds turns 2 we may actually get some sleep lol.

Cocobana · 28/12/2018 10:29

Cocobana · 28/12/2018 10:36

@Scarletrose18 I’ve done it I’ve bought that big bundle of pregnancy tests! Thought I’d get them in now because by the time they arrive and everything. Thanks for the recommendation as it’s a great deal. I kept thinking my free ones that came with the opks would be enough but who am I kidding!

Hoping for Brazil nuts and 2019 BFP's 💕
Blueflower22 · 28/12/2018 17:35

Just started having some kind of bleeding after period pain all day. Think I'm out this cycle. Will have to see how heavy the bleed is but I'm sure it's AF. 😭😭

Scarletrose18 · 28/12/2018 20:59

Yes you cant beat your own bed @coco
I love to read but havnt had a chance to read a full book since before ds was born. Oh that sounds amazing! I play a sky radio channel when cooking etc. Its an 80's channel... so good! Such a granny 🤣 But I would love to be able to just fancy a song and have it without having to utube my phone. May need to look into gettin one in future 🙂
Yes its a great deal! Iv taken two today 😒🤭 Its so depressing when its negative. But on the plus side, the negatives are very clear, i mean the white part is pure white, no smudges or indents to confuse you if that makes sense?

Scarletrose18 · 28/12/2018 21:01

Aww im sorry @blueflower 💐🌹🌼
Has it turned into your period? Thinking of you chick x

OP posts:
Cocobana · 28/12/2018 21:28

@Scarletrose18 I like the sound of that 80’s channel! I definitely recommend it, I’m not a one for gadgets but I absolutely love it.
That totally makes sense; I hate the evap lines and white indents you get on some, the sticks especially. They look great, I’m pleased I’ve finally ordered them! I think I’ll be like you and need to test especially with not being certain on my cycle length after last month. So sorry your tests were negatives, you’re not out until AF shows so you still have a great chance ✨✨✨👍🏼😃

Cocobana · 28/12/2018 21:30

Sorry @blueflower you will get your bfp hopefully in the not too distant future, I’m sure you will Flowers

Blueflower22 · 28/12/2018 22:04

@Scarletrose18 awww thankyou! I hope so too. I think it's is my period but yet to check. Will update you. It's a shame because I actually thought this month was the month x next month we're going to DTD with a different position! And hope that makes a difference

I think I'm going to buy the test strips too for next month like the ones you've got! It seems like a bargain!

Thinking positively! And for you as well x what day are you today? Your af must be due anytime soon?

Blueflower22 · 28/12/2018 22:04

@Cocobana thankyou :) I hope so

PastaSauceHoarder · 28/12/2018 22:39

Oh sod it, if you're all buying those pregnancy tests then I will too! I guess an early BFN is better than waiting impatiently in limbo for an extra few days before AF is due! 🙄

I'm sorry about your AF arriving @Blueflower22, its horrible when you really feel like its the lucky month isn't it? Fingers crossed and baby dust for that new position. 🤞🏻

Sorry for your BFN too @Scarletrose18, but as you said yourself its still early yet! Are you just going to keep testing everyday until a BFP or (hopefully not) AF?

Anyone else feeling super pessimistic? Like I really feel like I'm going to be waiting a long time for my second child, its horrible but I can't shake it.
How on earth do people (myself included) just fall pregnant accidently when the chances of it happening are actually quite low?? And yet here I am now tracking and timing and doing everything right and I feel absolutely dismal about it all! I feel silly feeling like this because it is only our second cycle of trying, but I'm just so worried about the feeling that it might take a really long time.

Anyway sorry ladies, just off-loading a little!

Scarletrose18 · 28/12/2018 22:42

Its called heart80's @cocobana You should try it. Yes, I agree, I feel that if im going to be waking up every morning in suspense wondering whether im pg or not whether I test or not then it does no harm to test. Lol. Will test again in the morning. 🙂

Will you take opk tests next month then @blueflower? I think its a great idea to do it because then you will know when you ovulated.... I ovulated 4 days later than I expected this month and I would never have known without opks. Same with the other ladies have had unexpected ovulation times. How are you feeling now? You are young and so have lots of eggs and as @coco says, your bfp will come. Do u want me to send u link for the opk tests I used?

Im really not 100% sure as this is my first cycle. I thought I was a 28 day cycle but based on when I ovulated I think it will be 30/31 days, so due AF on Monday
