Hiya all, hope everyone has had a good day. Its been bloody freezing here! ❄ I was taking DD to my mums in her pram this afternoon and someone had been cutting their grass in their front garden - the smell of lovely freshly cut grass didn't half make me miss summer! I'm sick of the winter when its not Christmas.

@MummyBearBoo wow go you!! I've never been to the gym. 😂 I bet you felt so tired after that, good on you. I hope you're relaxing now though!

@Mfbroome I definitely know what you mean, I feel so lucky every single day that I have my wonderful little girl. I honestly don't know who I'd be without her, shes the love of my life. But god I'm so utterly desperate for another child as well!! Its definitely hard not to stress!

@Cocobana @Scarletrose18 its probably good to be more relaxed about it (though definitely easier said than done!!), they reckon stress isn't good for fertility or something along those lines. It is hard though, you want to make sure you're doing all you can but don't want to end up overdoing it and stressing yourself out, if that makes sense?

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? @pasta oh yes it’s so cold but can’t complain really as it’s been a good winter (i‘ve prob cursed it now!) Lol ☃️❄️
I’m on cd7 today but to be honest I haven’t really thought about it this month. We’ve had a busy week and I’ve just been throwing myself into the new year and having fun with ds and enjoying him. It’s amazing watching them grow and thrive isn’t it? It goes so fast and I bet they’ll all be in nursery before we know it.

Any symptoms for you yet @pasta? Did you get in with your dd? 🤰🏼

Thats true @Cocobana, winter hasn't been too bad so far! We haven't had any frost here at least. Usually every winter I end up slipping on ice and falling on my arse so I should at least be grateful that that hasn't happened (yet 🙄).
I do secretly wish it would snow a bit though, DD was only tiny when it last snowed so I'd love to see how she reacted to it now! ☃

Its probably best to keep yourself busy, it definitely makes time go faster! When do you reckon you'll start OPKing? God I know, I've got DD signed up for the preschool attached to the school I work at - she'll be going there when she's three, I'll probably cry!!
Hows your DS doing, is he any better in his big boy bed yet?

No symptoms, I'm mostly just tired a lot. I've been going to bed much earlier. With DD I had sensitive boobs on and off before I got my BFP with her, but I was maybe 5 weeks at that point? I should be five weeks tomorrow. I woke up really early this morning feeling really worried and anxious, I'm desperate for it all to go smoothly but its just so early that anything could go wrong.

@PastaSauceHoarder aww alittle worry is normal but there’s no reason for anything wrong, you’re young and healthy. Won’t be long until to see your beautiful baby on your first scan but I know the wait seems like an eternity. I remember with ds being so impatient for that! Exactly I would love ds to see the snow too as last time it snowed he wasn’t walking or aware of it because he was too tiny. We can wish for snow next Christmas hopefully! He loves his bed but has still been in our bed a lot because he’s having molar trouble at the moment and it is disrupting all of his sleep. I can’t wait for his molars to be through, he only needs his 4 back ones now and that’ll be all his teeth, they’ve been off and on but are bothering him a lot.
Aww gosh 5 weeks, that’s amazing, hopefully you’ll just not have any symptoms. I know some woman are lucky and have great pregnancies. I had a good pregnancy with ds but did suffer from morning (all day sickness) so I always hope if I’m lucky enough ttc again I will skip that part! I’m not one of those women who loves being pregnant but I do love the baby part and all the excitement, ooo and the thick hair and glowing skin and everything!

Thank you @Cocobana, I really really hope you're right. I think I'd forgotton about all those worries and fears once DD was born, they've all come flooding right back again now. If I can get to 10 weeks without any issues then I'm definitely booking in for an private scan, I did with DD and it didn't half calm my nerves.

Awh bless him, it must be bloody horrible growing teeth! Thats brilliant that he's nearly got all his teeth though! DD still has quite a few to go. Yeah DD is the same, she loves her bed but she still manages to end up in ours every night. 😂

I did actually love being pregnant, especially after the first trimester. But I was like you though, at 7 weeks suddenly morning sickness kicked in and it went until 16 weeks! I was constantly a pale shade of green.
I never got nice hair though, mine went greasy and my skin went all spotty (and I'm currently sporting five of them on my face now - lovely).
They reckon that you get nice thick hair when pregnant with a boy! Maybe that was the case for you then?

@PastaSauceHoarder I don’t blame you booking a private scan, why wait 2-3 more weeks if you don’t need too. It will make the time go much faster for you aswell. I remember being absolutely convinced that they’d do my first scan and there’d be no baby there and I would make a fool of myself 🤣 I used to ask dh what if there’s not! He thought I was some sort of crazy woman lol and prob likened it to hormones! I took pregnancy tests right through the first trimester just to make sure I was still pregnant and hadn’t had a chemical or something! I was so elated when I saw ds on the screen and I was ‘actually pregnant’ even though I knew I was lol! It’s crazy what you go through!
I have heard that girls steal your beauty or something along those lines which causes spots, greasy hair etc (total old wives take probably. I think I looked too well when I was pregnant with ds and everyone assumed I was having an amazing pregnancy when inside I felt so sick and awful but nobody believed me (looks are definitely deceiving 😂)

Haha yeah I was the same, my first scan with DD I was scared I was just having some sort of mad phantom pregnany and they'd just end up annoyed that I was wasting their time. 😂
I used to go in terrified but I was always so relieved and happy once it had been done. I had two private and three NHS scans with DD and ended up with around 24 different scan pictures. I'm halfway through putting it all into a scrapbook (19 months later, oops).

Awh, well fingers crossed your next pregnancy will be a lot kinder to you! 🤞🏻 How was your birth with your DS after having a rough pregnancy with him?

I think you're right, girls do steal your beauty - my DD is gorgeous and most of the time now I look a wreck. 😂

Haha oh I had a good healthy pregnancy really and couldn’t complain overall, it was just me that’s not good being pregnant really lol. I found the sickness hard because I was working full time and had a long commute so used to throw up on way to work 🤢 and sit at my desk feeling queezy all day! I couldn’t be off sick because my work used to count pregnancy related sickness and were really strict so it was abit rubbish really! I had a nasty virus when I was pregnant too and a 4 week bad cough, sometimes I thought I was going to cough ds out! I had a traumatic Labour and didn’t get my water birth but my birth was absolutely fine. Ds was unwell at birth and it wasn’t picked up by the hosp so we had a spell at scbu after rushing him back in at under a day old. Luckily we acted quickly and they were able to treat him in time before he got worse. How was your birth with dd?
Aww I’m sure you don’t look a wreck at all, i bet you’ll be glowing with pregnancy, it’s just an old wives tale I’m sure! 😃✨👍🏼

With my DD I didn’t get greasy hair mines quite thick anyway so it just went really frizzy couldn’t do anything with it!! I felt better pregnant than I do normally ( with DD) I felt sick all the time with 2nd pregnancy but that could have been coz baby was poorly coz they say your body knows! Start my OPKs today it’s CD14 not expecting to ovulate til at least next week tho! I have to have a dating scan so they can determine when 11 weeks is for my CVS so I saw DD at 8 weeks and the little boy at 9 xxx

@MummyBearBoo have you had any luck with your opk today? I’m on cd9 and can see the second line is building nicely when this time last cycle they were blank. I’m hoping this is a good sign that I’ll ovulate earlier this month, I feel like I will and starting to get some symptoms earlier as well which hopefully are a good sign! Fingers crossed for us all this cycle ✨✨✨✨

Sorry guys, I have had such a crazy few days, this is the first chance I have got to properly read and catch up on our chat.

Great that your second lines are building @coco , would really love you to get early ov this cycle 🙂 Sorry ds wasnt well, that must of been so upsetting when he was still so young and tiny.
My lines are super light on the opks 😕 but I had more ewcm today that I think I have ever had before, was crazy how much so I was kind of expecting a positive opk, I have had a very stressfull few days and I know that effects ovulation, but hopefully in next few days, I will get a positive.

Im sorry you are worried @pasta I remember feeling the same before my 12 week scan, I was so scared something would happen... think its only natural to feel that way. An early scan would be great to help you feel better and exciting to get to see little baby early 🙂

@mummyb Hopefully you will ov earlier this month too then you wont have as long to wait 🙂 Jealous of your thick hair, I always wanted thick hair... mine is fine.

How are you @mfbroome Have u got things ready for next months ski trip? Any sign of ov yet on opks?

Thanks, fingers crossed it will be. Your symptoms sound really promising, I’d say you have a great chance of ovulating earlier too. I had a cycle where I didn’t get building lines and my +opk came out of the blue so don’t be disheartened if you’re not getting lines at the moment as you could still get your positive any time. The fact you have ewcm shows you’re def fertile, get DTD with your dh ✨✨✨

Oh and thanks, it was a long time ago when ds was first born, we caught him in the nick of time luckily and spotted something wasn’t right and we got through it, people go through much worse I can’t believe he’s going to be 2 soon! Crazy how time flies. 👍🏼

Thanks guys doing ok just impatient coz dunno when I’m gonna ovulate! It’s my birthday tomorrow - 34- I really want a healthy baby before I turn 35 so I really need it to be this year!!! Hope you’re feeling ok @PastaSauceHoarder and not got too many bad symptoms and that you get your scan soon - I didn't expect there to be anything there was I was pregnant with DD but there she was 8 weeks she just looked like a bean with her little food sack (placenta doesn't form til about week 10) and had a really strong heartbeat! Hope you both get ovulation soon @Scarletrose18 and @Cocobana - fingers crossed for you both!!
