@MrsH497 I'm okay thanks 😊 symptoms from my CP have finally calmed down so I think I'm getting back to normal. Decided to redecorate our hallway to take our minds off things - spent the weekend shopping, cleaning and DTD 😂 we've been like giddy kids, I guess we're both just trying to move on from last month. Ooh and we've binge watched 'You' on Netflix - highly recommend it!!! X

cupcakesandglitter · 06/01/2019 22:49

@MrsH497 how are you? Xx

Crossfitgirl · 06/01/2019 23:02

@random2468 @katbecool true, it only takes once. We spent 7 cycles trying to carry on as normal, when that didn't work we tried to time it around ov, then when that didn't work tried SMEP, then we moved house and I literally missed the window completely and in a last ditch attempt to save myself the day of the temp rise (when I thought oh fuck it's too late now) , we dtd and that's when it happened!

They do say sperm quality /quantity reduces the more often you have sex so I do wonder if the couple of weeks of no sex helped it along? But then it could just have been a total coincidence and pure luck. Who knows!

It feels like ages ago now that we were dtd all the time. It was so bloody hard work! Next time I'm totally just doing it once. Day of the rise. Haha. I mean 8 cycles of that would have been much easier!!

How's everyone doing? What CD are you upto and who's still doing SMEP and who's in the 2ww?

Crossfitgirl · 06/01/2019 23:04

@cupcakesandglitter have you watched "the good place"? If not, put it on your list after "you".
Soooo good!! Glad you're feeling a bit better xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 06/01/2019 23:19

@Crossfitgirl will start watching it tomorrow!! We've finished you 😳 watched it all yesterday 😂 Thankyou! I find it's not always how often we do it, it's more that it feels like a chore I guess. I think when we're tired but super horny we will make time - whereas when we're only doing it for a baby we just don't have the energy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ How're you getting on? Xx

MrsH497 · 06/01/2019 23:45

@cupcakesandglitter not too bad thank you lovely. Really tired works taken it out of me also meant we didn't DTD enough in fertile window I don't think so not optimistic. May go for temping or clearblue OPKs next month.
Ooh we like a good Netflix series I'll suggest it to DH. We are planning our holiday and also getting bits in the house sorted. Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 06/01/2019 23:49

@MrsH497 try and stay positive, it only takes the once!! Ooh have you decided where you're going?! We're thinking about doing a city break maybe next month/March - crazy how fast that will go! X

MrsH497 · 06/01/2019 23:56

@cupcakesandglitter I can highly recommend Bruges and Kraków for a city break! We don't know really we had thought about Mauritius or something similar but then are we just going to compare a beach holiday to the Maldives?! So now looking at Disney!

That is true it takes one time! Our friends told us last night they were pregnant and conceived when they were both pissed nothing romantic lol xx

cupcakesandglitter · 07/01/2019 00:09

@MrsH497 we were thinking about Krakow! DH has been before but years ago. Think I'm gonna redecorate etc and then budget a holiday for next month! OMG which Disney?! There's one in Tokyo!! DH said he wants to do it when we have kids 😭 I don't need children to go 😂 also I was pissed majority of last month and we caught, I think it's relaxing that helps 😂 x

MrsH497 · 07/01/2019 00:26

@cupcakesandglitter Florida we went 4 years ago but DH wants to go again before we have kids so it's just us.

Kraków is beautiful and really cheap when you're out there. Bruges is also beautiful. Love a good city break xx

Random2468 · 07/01/2019 07:00

@19Bee2 @KatBeCool @Crossfitgirl Yes you're all right! Hopefully it'll catch.. trying not to get my hopes up. I've been unusually relaxed the last few weeks away from the usual stresses of life so hoping that's helped! Also when me and DH discussed TTC we said we weren't going to be maniacs around the fertile window and we were going to attempt just doing it a lot the whole cycle but it really is exhausting! Anyway I caved and randomly did an opk which happened to be positive that day and then during that time I tracked my temp which is how I caught it. I also didn't actually tell DH how much I was checking all this behind the scenes and as such I think it made the BD's way more natural and good! I've heard that helps!

Thanks for Netflix recommendations - we're Netflix addicts!! We binge watched Haunting of Hill House which was terrifying but good!

GemmaJen · 07/01/2019 07:13

@MrsH497 Disneyworld is awesome, we've been a couple of times, definitely my favorite place to visit.

@cupcakesandglitter another vote for The Good Place, love it. We've been binging on Highway thru hell, lol, one of the few things we can both agree to watch. Bruges is brillant, going to throw in a vote for Budapest, beautiful city and so much history. The thermal baths are excellent and totally worth experiencing.

We've got a holiday planned for next month, we booked the flights back in October. Ought to get hotels sorted🙈. It's not been high up the priority list.

RanchoRelaxo · 07/01/2019 07:47

Hi everyone 😊

Here is that link that @Crossfitgirl was on about, the numbers seem scary at first but I loved how quickly they went down (plus I love statistics haha) datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

I am 13 weeks today, I had my 12 week scan last week and everything looked healthy, the baby wouldn't stop moving 😊 really hope to see you all on the grads thread soon! Xx

Crossfitgirl · 07/01/2019 08:04

@cupcakesandglitter it's hard isn't it as you don't want it to be a chore but you also know too much and don't want to miss ov! DH said to me he always felt like he ejaculated more when he was more horny but when he was tired or not in the mood it was less erm powerful and not as much came out haha. I do think being in the mood makes a difference... And doing it when you don't feel like it makes it all the more disheartening when you get a BFN. When we did SMEP and it didn't work I was absolutely gutted as we'd "worked" so hard that month for nothing. The time we conceived was the best sex we'd had in ages. Good luck and enjoy the good place!

I'm good thanks, got the day off today, feel OK and am tentatively considering going back to the gym... We shall see!

KatBeCool · 07/01/2019 09:55

@Crossfitgirl my GP was strongly recommending going to the gym during the pregnancy. Maybe not for crossfit though 🤣.

Someone hide my frer from me and close every place where I can buy it! I promised myself not to test until tomorrow. My temp is still up, boobs are literally killing me, I don't even need to squish them or poke them to know if they're sore, they're sore on their own at all times.

Crossfitgirl · 07/01/2019 11:24

@katbecool how many dpo are you?? Put the FRER somewhere thats annoying to get to. Then you'll be less tempted!!

I made it to the gym and did some light weights yay!

KatBeCool · 07/01/2019 11:28

@Crossfitgirl I'm 13dpo now, Friday frer was negative which is why I'm waiting, I don't want to see another bfn. This long of an LP is unusual for me.

Crossfitgirl · 07/01/2019 11:42

@katbecool aaahhh. Aahhhhhhh ahhhhh I can't even tell you not to test. I totally would be doing at 13dpo. You've waited all weekend thats really good! What's your longest LP been so far? To be fair you can justify not doing it today as it won't be fmu. Save it for fmu in the morning xxx

Jessikka · 07/01/2019 12:00

I'm 6/7dpo and I've had cramps every day.
Over the last few they seem to focus around the right hand side and today after days of feeling nauseous I've been sick during breakfast - probably ate too much whilst cramping but this is the first time I've had an appetite and I wanted cereal! Haha!

Peeing every hour again too. Stupid progesterone.

On a plus side now I'm 3weeks with no pill my acne has completely gone and so I'm smiling in the mirror Smile.... until another cramp comes of course!!!

stormtrooperjulian · 07/01/2019 12:17

@Random2468 that amount of dtd sounds good. We did O-3 O-1 O and O+1 so hopefully we’re covered too. We actually did SMEP but more by coincidence than design!

@TTC34 welcome!

@cupcakesandglitter I’d recommend Prague or Venice for a city break

@MrsH497 I love Disney World! And if you go to Florida you can do a day at Busch Gardens which has better rollercoasters too.

@Crossfitgirl that’s interesting that your DH could feel a difference based on how horny he was! My DH sometimes comments ‘that felt like a lot’ or whatever but I haven’t noticed a pattern. Although my DH is always in the mood so maybe that wouldn’t affect him so much!

@KatBeCool I think you should test tomorrow!

@Jessikka the nausea sounds like a promising symptom. Good that your cycle got right back on track after stopping the pill too!

starkid · 07/01/2019 12:22

CD6 today, negative digital opk yesterday, but didn't do one today as trying to reserve the last of my clearblue digital tests as I don't have enough to do up to when I usually ovulate (more like CD16-19)!
So might have to supplement with the cheapie internet ones in between just so I don't miss any possible early surges... Aiming to dtd tomorrow and every few days just so all bases covered (then extra if we get a peak ovulation test!).
Docs appointment Friday anyway so will see what comes from that.

@RanchoRelaxo - wow can't believe you're already 13 weeks, doesn't seem that long ago you were on here :) congrats on your scan going well!

EltzBee · 07/01/2019 14:19

Afternoon ladies, how is everyone? Hope you're all doing okay.
I had my GP appointment this morning, won't be seeing anyone now for a whole month til my booking in appointment as they were fully booked til then! 6+2 today and Dr said due date is 31/08. Nausea has kicked in and total exhaustion, and sore boobs ALL THE TIME! I don't think I've ever been so aware of my boobs, I'm sure they're growing every day at the moment.

Jessikka · 07/01/2019 14:54

Hi @EltzBee so exciting for you!

I'm having an awful day! 6/7dpo and cramping so bad I'm in agony. Sharp horrible pains on my right side, vomiting (though I fully suspect that was from eating whilst cramping)and dizzy. I think it's exaggerated also because I work from home and I have little distraction - im not walking around a busy shop floor etc and talking... I'm just sat here on my own feeing sorry for myself.

To put into perspective, I've cramped so much over the last week that my stomach muscles are tender as though I've done an abs workout. Ridiculous. Probably side effects of leaving the pill a few weeks ago.

Hope everything goes nice and smoothly for you x

EltzBee · 07/01/2019 15:11

@Jessikka ah bless you! Keep the paracetamol and a hot water bottle to hand. I know what you mean, I WFH quite a bit and whilst it's often great when you're feeling rough, you do lack the distraction of the office which sometimes forces you to socialise and not notice it.

My first 'cycle' off the pill was a painful one, I did get positive OPK so think things did start working quickly. I found each month different on the pain front! Biggest thing I'd say it keep hydrated, it does help.

KatBeCool · 07/01/2019 15:45

@Jessikka that sounds awful. Is it normal for you to be in so much pain?

@Crossfitgirl 12 days was the longest and happened only once. I'm determined to wait until tomorrow!

@starkid be sure you don't go more than 48 hours between CB tests or it resets. That and the price is why I stopped using it.
