Wrong thread sorry

Jessikka · 04/01/2019 21:54

Not a great day today health wise.
I've had nothing but strong cramps all evening, crazy nausea whilst out for lunch with a friend and I couldn't tell her I felt sick as that's the second time with her I couldn't concentrate as I was feeling unwell and she would start trying to put 2+2 together and wonder why I'm feeling ill all of a sudden and why my skin is better and my boobs are bigger and blahhh.
Now my back is aching and as I slipped a disc last year and was basically bead bound for 3 months, any sort of ache in my back panics me so would prefer it if the progesterone would steer clear of my back. Lol

On the plus side; Mary Poppins is really good and nostalgic if anyone was debating going. There's a few references back to the original that were a cool little addition! Smile

FlapJackered · 04/01/2019 23:37

@stormtrooperjulian I feel exactly the same as you. I think it is completely natural. As I opened the pg test packet last cycle I almost stopped myself as I just knew it was going to be negative before I pee'd on it. It's hard not to get sucked into negative thinking, but it will happen for you and you will see that bfp, hopefully this cycle!

Welcome @Mrs71 moan away, this is a really supportive thread and we all periodically have a sad moment, then a bfp comes along and you remember it does happen and it will happen for you too when the time is right.

On day two of the Soy Isoflavones and so far not loving the side effects (which I assume is from them) - massive headache and very emotional, just had a complete crying meltdown about a stressful work email and only really have realised now that breaking down over an email is not a normal occurrence for me 😂😩

KatBeCool · 04/01/2019 23:42

@FlapJackered uff, your hormones must be playing games with you, soy is powerful on its own and isoflavones are a concentrated version. Maybe try a half dose?

Mrs71 · 04/01/2019 23:55

Thank you @Flapjackered we haven’t told anyone that we’re ttc and my husband thinks I’m being silly about being sad as it’ll happen when it’s meant to be. But I really can’t help it. I did a test at 12dpo it was a bfn so I think AF will show her face in next couple of days x

GemmaJen · 05/01/2019 06:08

@FlapJackered can't believe you're getting side effects already? What are the Soy isoflavones meant to be doing?

Not slept well, been up since 4. Excitement has now turned to worry. Scared that it's too good to be true and that it might not last. I thought I'd be most scared about getting past 8 weeks as that was when the last one stopped growing, but I can't even see that far ahead. Sorry to be so negative, just so anxious.

TrashKitten10 · 05/01/2019 06:41

@GemmaJen Poor you feeling so worried :( I can understand how after suffering a loss you would be experiencing anxiety, it must have been a really difficult time. Not that I'm suggesting it's in anyway easy to stop worrying but try to remember this is a new pregnancy and that you're much more likely to sail through than to experience any problems. Sadly experiencing one loss like you have is relatively common but experiencing multiple losses is far less common. The statistics are on your side so try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy as much as you can x

GemmaJen · 05/01/2019 07:52

@TrashKitten10 thank you, again I'm sorry for being negative earlier, just got so wrapped up in my thoughts and didn't know who I could talk to. I've given myself a talking to and set small goals, first of which is to get past Wednesday which is the day af was due. I'm incredibly lucky and I'm not going to let fear stop me enjoying this.

Ladies, do you mind if I hang around? Not quite ready to leave just yet and want to hear all your BFP stories which I know are coming soon x

FlapJackered · 05/01/2019 08:10

@GemmaJen you poor thing, I can completely understand the worry after last time, but the chances are you'll be fine, in fact over a 75% chance. Just because it happened before doesn't mean it will happen again.
As hard as it is try and distract yourself from negative thoughts and try as hard as you can to focus on something else. It must be really tough so I know that is easier said than done. ❤️
The Soy is meant to be increasing my eastrogen I think - so I suppose it's understandable there would be some emotional effects there. Not sure I will try them again though...😕

@KatBeCool I think I will see it through on the full dose but maybe not do them next cycle. My skin is also terrible suddenly! Spots everywhere! At least it's the weekend and I can avoid work. I suppose something that can move your ov date is never going to be that gentle. 🤷🏼‍♀️
How are you getting on? Any spotting yet? 🤞🏻.

@Mrs71 it is really hard seeing that bfn, especially when you feel like you did everything right with timing. Although I know it doesn't help much, but you are only cycle 4 and it is very likely to happen within a year of trying so try to focus on that and not the individual cycle failures. (I am saying that but I am terrible at it 😂 I am approaching a year ttc after the next cycle though which is frankly terrifying!)
Also I recommend pushing back your testing day to the day after af is due if you're like me and bfn's depress you. It is so much better being greeted by af and a new cycle rather than a bfn and having to wait for the new cycle (if you get what I mean!) and if it is a bfp it won't go away.

FlapJackered · 05/01/2019 08:11

Ps @GemmaJen please stay! You can always chat to us xx

Crossfitgirl · 05/01/2019 10:40

@starkid I went early due to PCOS, short lutela phase and previous ovary surgery. I'd been trying 6 months at that point and they just did day 3 and day 21 blood tests for FSH and progesterone. Mine came back totally abnormal and got referred to fertility clinic... But clearly it was just a fucked up cycle as I then conceived! Good luck, you've not been trying long at all so I'm sure you don't need to worry but I totally understand. You have reason so just explain to GP and hopefully they will be good about it.

@gemmajen CONGRATULATIONS! 8dpo is so early for a line, maybe the temp rise was a few days after ov and you're further on than you think? I read that temp rise can come from 1-3 days after ov. Could be wrong though! And the worry is real, just take it day by day. @ranchorelaxo has a link to stats on MC which she found really reassuring after a loss. Hopefully she can post on here?

@stormtrooperjulian I never thought it would happen for me either and remember the last few months of ttc felt like that all the time, what's the point as it'll never happen for me... I'm probably infertile... Etc. And just felt like why I'd it happening for everyone else and not me. It WILL happen for you. xxx

@flapjackered ooh the soy isoflavones sound exciting! Well, not with the symptoms but just for something new to try, and with the thread you posted a while back about people conceiving not long after starting. I really hope they work for you! What CD are you on?

PinkFizz19 · 05/01/2019 10:48

Hello Everyone first time poster here but long timer watcher BlushSmile

I've been following this thread for a few months in the follow up to us TTC.

I came off the pill in November and had my withdrawal bleed but still no sign of AF.

I'm Cycle 1, TTC1 and CD 33. A few years ago I came off the pill following a relationship breakdown and to give my body a break and fell into a nice 28 day cycle. If this is the case now I'm 4 days late for AF.

My nipples have been more sensitive (sorry TMI) since CD 19, I've been alot more sleepy than normal and the past week I've been off my food and feeling a little hungover/nauseous (Not drank since a glass of wine New Year and I'm a foodie so not one to be just picking at meals etc.) I knew it was highly unlikely for us to get caught first month but when I've taken a test this morning and it's shown negative I was gutted. All week I've felt pressure and bloating in my lower abdomen and cramps as though AF was coming but she's not and I've never felt this before?

Am I being silly having any hope for this month as i would have thought testing on a FRER at 4 days late would have shown something if I was Confused

Going to test again Tuesday (1 week late) if still no AF.

Sorry for the long post xxx

ValidUser · 05/01/2019 13:39

Hello all, cycle 7 and cycle day 6. Seeing my gynaecologist about the salpingectomy later this month.

Either way, this cycle is good. Either I get pregnant or I know I'm doing something about it.

@Crossfitgirl how are you?

@GemmaJen congratulations!

Crossfitgirl · 05/01/2019 14:17

@pinkfizz19 all those symptoms sound exactly how I felt when I got my BFP, albeit my symptoms came a few weeks after the positive test. But cramping like AF is here was in the first few days... Its totally possible first cycle round, and your cycle won't necessarily go back to the same length as it was before... Without a few cycles off the pill you won't know. I have a good feeling for you! Keep testing!

@validuser I'm good thanks! I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow, counting down the days to the magic 12 weeks... Hoping to god everything will be OK. I had totally chilled out but for some reason I've started worrying about MC again, maybe as we've let ourselves get so excited and started telling close friends, I just don't want anything to go wrong now. But it's totally out of our hands. The nausea is settling but other symptoms are persisting, mainly food aversion and really sore boobs... I'm kinda reassured by that! Haha.

How are you? What is a salpingectomy? I'm gonna go Google it now but still. Good luck for this cycle and for your appointment depending if you need it! Whats your strategy this time?

ValidUser · 05/01/2019 14:42

@Crossfitgirl I get the worry - if I were to get pregnant this cycle, I'd be terrified of the hydrosalpinx causing miscarriage. Your symptoms sound reassuring.

Salpingectomy is removal of the dodgy tube. Hoping he'll be able to clear the good one permanently. Apparently he might be able to close off the bad one with a clip or a sclerosing agent which would be a smaller op, and great!

PinkFizz19 · 05/01/2019 16:14

@crossfitgirl Hope I've tagged you correctly Blush Thank you so much for your post...unfortunately AF got me this afternoon Sad feel so silly getting my hopes up and then still trying to be positive after my BFN this morning. Ohh well CD 1, Cycle 2 it is. We were meant to be taking it easy and just letting whatever happens..happen while BD more but i think I'm going to get some OPKs to try this month then I'll get a better idea of my cycle. Especially if it's going to be different from previously. Wishing the next 3 weeks to fly by for you then you get to see your little one xxx

@ValidUser fingers crossed for you that this is your month and you'll get a BFP or your surgery will help make it easier for next Flowers xxx

@GemmaJen Huge Congratulations!! xxx

Jennamiah · 05/01/2019 17:03

Hi Guys,

I recently got married and myself and my husband have been TTC.
We have been trying since November 2018 but with no luck. Last month I tried to follow my ovulation calendar so we are hoping this month we get our BFP!!! we thought we would get our BFP in December but there was nothing which made up quite sad.

I would like to hear success stories or any tips as to what we can do to improve the chance.

xxx

KatBeCool · 05/01/2019 17:58

So temp dipped today but not as low as cover line. Not sure if I should expect the doom of AF but definitely gutted.

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!
MrsR16 · 05/01/2019 18:51

@PinkFizz19 aw hun that damn AF! She's so rude turning up when she's not welcome! It sucks, but you still have time.

@Jennamiah welcome Hun! There are lots of success stores and they keep popping back to catch up every now and then, so this is a great place to be! Not so much a success story, but I'm now on cycle 6 of trying - I hope I get my BFP soon!

@KatBeCool oh, you're not out till you're out! Just take it one day at a time xx

@Crossfitgirl aw, great to hear from you and glad everything's going ok! Hope your symptoms settle soon enough xx

Keyboard91 · 05/01/2019 19:48

Okay, I’m back and feeling more myself again

CD 14. Noticed a changed in my EMCM yesterday that has persisted today. DTD yesterday and we plan to do it tomorrow.

Went back to school yesterday and had quite an intense day. So EVERYTHING hurts today. But don’t want to take anything but paracetamol just in case. So sat here with hot water bottles and a cup of tea watching Luther.

Hope everyone is doing okay :)

jjjgame · 05/01/2019 19:59

Oh thank you hun!!!
It's so nice to know theres people in the same boat as me. I hope we all get some good news soon xxx

stormtrooperjulian · 05/01/2019 21:51

@FlapJackered how are the soy side effects feeling today?

@ValidUser glad you’re feeling positive about this cycle! How quickly will you get the surgery after seeing the specialist?

@PinkFizz19 and @Jennamiah welcome!

@KatBeCool there’s still time for your temp to pick back up again, you’re not out til AF arrives

@MrsR16 I’m on cycle 6 too, I just keep telling myself that it’s totally normal for it to take up to a year. Although I’m not sure if the first few cycles had any chance at all, with minimal periods and being on the NSAIDs that can both prevent ovulation and prevent implantation!

EEK18 · 05/01/2019 22:02

Hi! Checking in.

Cycle 3
TTC 1
8dpo

Having cramps and some light pink bleed.
Hoping that this is it

MrsR16 · 05/01/2019 22:57

@stormtrooperjulian absolutely! We will get our BFPs soon! My feeling is that I haven't been ovulating since coming off the pill, so last month was the first proper chance I had! Fingers crossed for you this month though, lovely! Xx

FlapJackered · 05/01/2019 22:59

@Crossfitgirl so lovely to hear from you and to hear everything is going well! Not long to wait now until the scan!
I am cd5 (satisfyingly with the days of the month this cycle!) and the headache has subsided now thankfully. Really hoping these Soy isos do the job!!

@PinkFizz19 welcome! 😀

@ValidUser not long to wait now for the op. Then hopefully there will be now obstacles in the way for that bfp. X

@KatBeCool There have been temp dips on lots of people's charts before they got their bfps you're not out yet, and it's not a proper dip, keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow's temp x

@stormtrooperjulian Side effects are better today thanks lovely. Headache has gone but still fairly over emotional. DH is taking cover 😂
