@MrsR16 does the Fitbit track your temp? I don't think flo is super accurate - it keeps changing dates for me anytime I enter a new symptom etc. I prefer FF for logging CM/cervix and temps. Flo I like using purely because you can compare every month x

MrsR16 · 01/01/2019 22:35

@cupcakesandglitter no, unfortunately! That would be the one thing to make it absolutely epic! I'm always up at different times every day, so would find it hard to temp normally. Yeah, I struggled with Flo last month, but it was the first month where she changed her mind on a near daily basis as to when AF was due and I'd O'd! It was very frustrating x

GemmaJen · 01/01/2019 22:38

@cupcakesandglitter I can only imagine the yoga move required 😂 this ttc lark is so dignified! I've got the ifertracker not as pricey as Ava, but just does temp. I'm getting on really well with it, I get really consistent temps with clear patterns and it's low fuss.

@MrsR16 ah those are the type of nurse visits I hate, so uncomfortable!

@KatBeCool spelunking, lol love it. Yes nails don't help much. I've given up with cervix checks it's just so tricky and I think my cervix is running away from me!

@starkid fx for implantation, probably worth making the appointment. I always find that if I over prepare as if it's not going to happen ( buy loads of opks, book in with the doctor etc... ) It feels more like it might actually happen. Screwed up logic maybe, but it makes me feel better X

Random2468 · 02/01/2019 03:15

No bbt temp rise yet 2 days after positive opk 😔 this happened last cycle and it actually took till CD 45 to ovulate with a false positive opk around now. I was just hoping body was messed up post mc and ERPC but will be so disheartened if my cycles continue to be this long and irregular

Random2468 · 02/01/2019 03:16

Sorry it's actually 3 days post pos opk

thosethreewords · 02/01/2019 07:02

@Random2468 you can ovulate upto 72 hrs post LH surge/ positive OPK so don't lose hope yet!

My temp has gone back up today! I am really trying to not get my hopes up too much... but it's so hard.

GemmaJen · 02/01/2019 08:38

@thosethreewords my BBT has done the same today, though not as dramatically yours. This waiting game is no fun. FX for you

FlapJackered · 02/01/2019 09:28

@thosethreewords that chart looks so promising!!🤞🏻🤞🏻

@cupcakesandglitter Sorry about Af but hurrah for cycle twins!! I'm doing the opposite of taking it easy this month! 😂 Got a strategy and back on the opks this month. Chilling out obvs didn't work last month and I quite enjoy strategising ttc if I am being honest 😂😂😂

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 09:38

Morning ladies.

I started using FF last night and it had me down as Ov yesterday. It pairs up with the ideals from the internet in terms of symptoms... I definitely am one of those people who feel Ov pains as the sharp pains in my right ovary were strong! I had the textbook Cm too so who knows!

I have a quick question, next month i May try Charting my temps but I have a q; will one day a week of waking up and temping two hours earlier make a massive difference and therefore no point?

I don't want to temp at 5am everyday just because I wake at 5 on a thursday. This wannabe mama likes her sleep!!!

19Bee2 · 02/01/2019 10:06

Morning all,

@thosethreewords Your chart looks really good - FX

@Jessikka Everything I have seen does say you are supposed to take at the same time. I suppose if you make sure you have been asleep for at least three (so I've read) hours before each temp it may not make a huge difference. I take mine at 6am every day. I'm a teacher so I've done the same during the holidays and at weekends and it's really not too bad. I have got used to doing it and then falling right back asleep. Some thermometers will display the most recent temp when you switch it back on, so even if you don't record it there and then you could record it when you wake up properly. X

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 10:12

@19Bee2 I should probably just stop being a lazy mare - if I want something I have to be prepared to sacrifice! Haha!

That's handy to know about the recording so at least I don't have to fumble with apps etc and waking up too much!

Does anyone have any recommendations?

KatBeCool · 02/01/2019 10:50

@Jessikka I take mine at 4:30 in the morning, this way I can still fall asleep after. I forget if I try upon waking or there's a chance I've gotten up in the middle of the night and disturbed the 3-hour minimum resting period, etc. But I know 4:30 alarms aren't for everyone lol.

Question for you ladies... When you say "ovulation pains", how intense are you talking? If I were to measure what I feel, it'd be less than 1, I just feel something is happening but not enough to call it "pain", sometimes I'd get little jolts that are a bit stronger but still very mild.

Random2468 · 02/01/2019 11:27

@Jessikka I use natural cycles app and the thermometer that comes with that! I find it really user friendly and very accurate 😊

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 11:28

@KatBeCool I'm learning and I'm new at this so I accept I could be wrong.... but I was getting strong enough cramps all over my pelvic area enough to say to a friend I'm aching and have cramps (though less than what I feel with a period that I remember).

Then the day I got the EWCM I had really strong sharp pains suddenly out of the blue on my right side that lasted a minute or two but was enough to make me say "agh" whilst watching TV. Very sharp and over pretty quickly. Then I went back to having cramps all over.

Last night I had them sharply again though milder. I'd say on pain level I felt the sharp pain at near a 5? Enough to make me go "oh ouch" and prod the area to relieve it but not enough to get a hot water bottle and curl up like a period cramp.

Though I've also been complaining on here for days about pulsating and throbbing in my lady regions and after researching it's my inguinal glands apparently swelling for ovulation- I can even feel that! it actually started to annoy me lol.

But a friend of mine never felt anything before pregnancy or after. the twice she caught (they were a surprise) and had zero symptoms - she only realised she was pregnant when a friend commented on her boobs being bigger and she threw up with wine; that was enough to make her question lol!

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 11:29

@KatBeCool also this is my first month off BC so I may be experiencing crazy stuff that won't happen again! who knows lol

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 11:30

Thanks @Random2468 - I will take a look ready for next month.

cupcakesandglitter · 02/01/2019 11:59

@MrsR16 oh thats crap. Always wanted a Fitbit though!!

@GemmaJen oh yes sorry I remember looking at the ifertracker xx

@FlapJackered 😂 at least you've had a month off though!! X

@Jessikka you could take your temp one day at a different time - if you're logging it into FF straightaway it will discount it for you, so it'll come up with a different symbol on your chart. It'll work everything out as normal without your earlier temp changing it xx

Jessikka · 02/01/2019 12:01

@cupcakesandglitter ahhh is that the random dots I've seen on peoples charts?

cupcakesandglitter · 02/01/2019 12:02

Yeah @Jessikka I'll attach mine two secs x

stormtrooperjulian · 02/01/2019 12:02

@KatBeCool my ovulation pains are very mild, I’m aware of them and it’s slightly uncomfortable at times but it’s no more than a 1 on the pain scale

I should be ovulating today, we will dtd tonight and again tomorrow for luck, hopefully this tww goes quickly.

cupcakesandglitter · 02/01/2019 12:03

@Jessikka so I've been waking up at really different times 😂 so the empty circles are discounted, the filled in blue one counts x

starkid · 02/01/2019 13:08

AF is here Sad
I've made a doctor's appointment for end of next week though, so fx I can get some tests/scans sorted for my short luteal phase and possible scar tissue from previous surgery Smile didn't think was worth wasting more time if I have problems from at least these two things I'm aware of.

thosethreewords · 02/01/2019 13:21

@starkid oh I'm sorry to hear that. Totally rubbish news, but good plan to go for tests. That might give you some answers and help you along x

MrsR16 · 02/01/2019 13:31

@cupcakesandglitter I do love it! I am not very good at moving enough during the course of the day (I'm a secretary, so sat at my computer all day) and this reminds me! I'm hoping that I'll be able to see what's going on with ovulation with my heart rate as well. I know it's less accurate than temping, but I would be rubbish at temping! 😂 I knew I was getting ill as on the 27th December, my heart rate shot up and stayed there for a good long while! It's only just now going back to normal.

@starkid sorry about AF hun. At least you can try and get some answers now!

starkid · 02/01/2019 13:45

@thosethreewords @MrsR16 thank you both :)
