This thread moves fast and I need more practice in keeping up! I also need to preview my posts for errors looking at the last one!

@EltzBee huge congratulations on your BFP! Grin

@FlapJackered I'm sorry about AF turning up. I also think my DH will be away when I'm ovulating so I think I'm probably out now until Feb Sad

I have some cheap strip opks coming in the post in the hopes that timing things better will be the answer but DH is only home at weekends all this month!

KatBeCool · 01/01/2019 17:30

@Jessikka the darkest test you showed is close to positive, hours away. This cycle I had a very short surge, I had a near positive in the afternoon and it was faint in the morning. But my ewcm lasted until 4dpo. How many times a day and what time of the day do you test?

Jessikka · 01/01/2019 17:46

@KatBeCool this month I've only done it when I remember; awful I know. But because I told myself I wasn't actively trying it but practising I've been a bit relaxed with it. I wanted to just see if they got a little darker and know whether they were working sort of attitude ( whether the brand was worth it etc). I'm going to try doing things properly next month when I know I'm in an actual cycle not my pretend one lol.

I've no idea if I ovulated but my Cm has a slight pink tinge to it and only once. Following the sharp pain? Today I've been more normal and no cramping or twinges or damp feelings; just usual Jess today lol.

Lord knows. My gut instincts tell me it was last night or today? But I've read it's usually a day after a darker OPK (the pic has faded but it was VERY dark)but then I had all of my stretch CM in one day so maybe I'm different?
I BD 5/6 of the last 6 days but that wasn't timed...that was natural hormones for the first time in many years haha!

Sorry for the essay; no one knows I'm TTC so I have only you ladies!

Jessikka · 01/01/2019 17:51

@KatBeCool actually I'm wrong; still stretchy and egg white so that's cool. It wasn't over in one day after all ha!

My cervix is deffo open so I guess it was today maybe.

KatBeCool · 01/01/2019 18:06

@Jessikka you ovulate 12-48 hours after the positive OPK. The tinge of blood is usually from the follicle rupture. I suggest temping, it helps to know when you ovulated.

cupcakesandglitter · 01/01/2019 18:23

Omg @EltzBee the digital!!! ❤️ please stick around!! X

@FlapJackered yesssss we're cycle twins!! You gonna take it easy again this month? We are but just minus drinking x

@stormtrooperjulian omg 😂 I can't deal with waxing it honestly 😳 make sure DH is extra appreciative of it tomorrow ;) x

@Jessikka try and BD for the next couple of days too!! Also, keep checking your cervix at the same time every day and log it all into FF... I'd been doing it every now and then, but I'm the last two weeks I've seen how fast it changes and how different it feels etc x

Trotted off to Liverpool for a day out with DH today, but I've had the worst AF I've had since we've started TTC. Tried to just walk and help ease it but bloody hell she does want to make it clear she's arrived!! I really think I was pg and I've had a chemical - my boobs still haven't gone back to how they normally look. I've mc before and so I guess I'm stronger than I remember if I've got through them then... fingers crossed for all of us on here we get our BFPs xxx

GemmaJen · 01/01/2019 18:23

@Jessikka I also second temping as KatBeCool suggests. I don't get ovulation symptoms, I do get quite strong OPKs, 2 positive days in a row this month, my temp rose 48hrs after the second positive. Without tracking Bbt I wouldn't have known O had definitely happened or may have stopped dtd after the first positive reducing ttc chances.

I'm 5dpo and the tww is dragging! Hoping it gets easier when I'm back at work tomorrow.

Jessikka · 01/01/2019 18:27

@GemmaJen I will probably try next month but I will struggle three times a week as I wake up at different times. When I'm working from home for the first three days it will be ok but on the fourth I'm up two hours earlier to travel to the office and then weekends....
my body is one of those ones thy I feel everything, so I think I may be lucky in that I will also have feelings to fall back on.

Will try taking my temp next month but not sure on accuracy; we will see.

Smile
Jessikka · 01/01/2019 18:31

Hi @cupcakesandglitter ohhh yes I've definitely seen the quick differences in cervix position! I started checking numerous times a day so I could be confident in noticing the changes; I've never been so acquainted with myself haha! 😳

It's been sunny down here in S.Wales and I've been clearing out my attic all day. De clutter for the new year 😎

GemmaJen · 01/01/2019 18:43

@Jessikka I got myself a wearable tracker as three days per week I'm up for a train at 5 but like to sleep in when I can on other days. It takes my lowest temp so I don't need to worry about sleeping patterns or getting up in the night.

I've had no luck with cervix position changes, I can never find it Blush anyone else have this issue? Can it just be naturally high?

MrsLBear · 01/01/2019 18:44

@Jessikka I would 100% recommend temping too. It's nice to see the temp go up especially if you used OPKs as it confirms it all.
We DTD about 36 hours before I O'd (DTD Sunday night and O'd I think overnight the Monday due to sharp pain) and had a temp increase on the Tuesday morning. My app said I wouldn't so till the Wednesday I think which was rubbish.
Fx for you!!

Jessikka · 01/01/2019 18:49

@GemmaJen that's genius; hadnt considered that!
One thing you will all learn about me is Common Sense + I are not friends ha!

MrsAW2018 · 01/01/2019 19:05

Evening ladies, hope you've all had a lovely New Year's Day!

I've attached a pic of my Opk from just now, I think it's nearly there - what do you all think? Thanks in advance! X

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!
cupcakesandglitter · 01/01/2019 19:06

@Jessikka it's crazy isn't it!! I never knew before TTC 😂

@GemmaJen yes!! I have to do a very awkward position to be able to reach it - this month is the first where I felt it 'low' but that was just the very tip of my finger without doing the position - it's definitely possible for them to be naturally high!! When I really struggled I got DH to check for me because it was just easier 😂 the poor thing 😂 sorry if you've mentioned before but what tracker is it you have? I'm after a cheap one - can't justify an Ava or anything in a similar price range x

cupcakesandglitter · 01/01/2019 19:07

Evening @MrsAW2018 I'd say it's very nearly there!! You could possibly have your surge overnight so I'd DTD today! Xxx

MrsR16 · 01/01/2019 19:09

@FlapJackered thanks for your reply hun, guess I'll wait and see what's happening! 🤷‍♀️

@cupcakesandglitter I hate it when AF hits really bad... fingers crossed it soothes soon for you!

@GemmaJen I can never find mine either lol the nurses always can if I need a check up, so I'm obviously doing something wrong! 😂

KatBeCool · 01/01/2019 20:14

@GemmaJen I can't find mine either! I also have fingernails so I don't like to go "up there" and scratch myself while spelunking for my cervix. I read that cervix can also curve to the side so that makes it harder to find it.

cupcakesandglitter · 01/01/2019 20:24

Thanks @MrsR16 ❤️ sorry I didn't see your message earlier - last month my AF lasted a couple of days longer than usual too. I'm not sure it's anything to worry about, are you logging the spotting on an app too? X

EltzBee · 01/01/2019 20:32

@Jessikka like the others said, the middle test is probably your biggest give away! I would recommend temping. I had a LH surge first first month off the pill, the OPKs are great for helping to get to know your cycle too. Sometimes you get two surges in a month too if it doesn't work first time!

I used the FertilityFriend app, it tracks cm, temp and your opks to work out when you ovulate. I found it better than Ovia although it's not a pretty app!

@MrsAW2018 DTD!! That looks pretty close to same colour!

@cupcakesandglitter thanks hun, took me some courage to do the digital for some reason! I'll stay around, got my fingers crossed for you xx

starkid · 01/01/2019 21:03

@MrsAW2018 - I'd get cracking, close enough to me!

I had the teeniest bit of spotting this evening, so think I'm almost out Sad am on cd27 and only 9dpo, which is a rather short luteal phase if this is AF on its way...

If I am out and similar happens next month, I may make a GP appointment to get it checked out, and ask about my previous surgery possibly causing scar tissue in the area. Don't want to be wasting these months if highly unlikely I'll become pregnant without some help!

MrsR16 · 01/01/2019 21:05

@cupcakesandglitter that's alright! Sounds like we've both had hard months... yeah, I'm logging everything on Flo, so we shall see what she says this month! My Fitbit app says completely different to Flo, so I'm interested to see which one is more accurate! Xx

@starkid you're not out till she arrives!! Fingers crossed for you hun. It might be worth making an appt anyway just to see what's going on? X

starkid · 01/01/2019 21:13

@MrsR16 - I'm trying to kid myself it could be implantation bleeding as you never know! My app says I'm due Thursday though.

But yes if AF arrives I may try and make an appointment for peace of mind, as at least they will know about my medical history so hopefully won't still tell me to come back after trying for 1 year...? Fx anyway

stormtrooperjulian · 01/01/2019 21:19

@AnnaMC241 that’s annoying about your DH being away in your fertile week, is he somewhere you can drive over and spend a night with him? Hopefully you’ll ovulate on a weekend so you won’t miss it.

@Jessikka apparently you can get ovulation spotting, and I’ve read that it can indicate strong ovulation so hopefully that’s a good thing!

@cupcakesandglitter sorry your AF is bad this time, is it easing off at all yet?

@GemmaJen I can never find my cervix either

@starkid how long is your normal luteal phase? Q

cupcakesandglitter · 01/01/2019 21:46

@EltzBee super happy for you xx

@MrsR16 what's your Fitbit saying? What does it track? I've found it interesting going onto the patterns of body thing on Flo, really useful for symptom spotting 😂 X

@stormtrooperjulian it's actually got worse - cramps are horrendous 😂 to make up for it though I'm currently tucked up with a hot water bottle, fleecy pyjamas, DH has just gone out and bought me pizza and cake, my cat is cuddling me and I'm about to watch Luther - I'm milking every second of this 😂😂😂 x

MrsR16 · 01/01/2019 22:17

@cupcakesandglitter Fitbit is saying that I'm supposed to O on Sunday but Flo reckons Friday! I'm not sure what the Fitbit tracks yet as far as predicting FW, but I'm interested! I just need to get busy bd-ing! 😂😂 xx
