Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

That's true actually. I guess, don't ask don't get, & we haven't asked for anything.... but then how are you supposed to know to ask if you don't know what you're asking for in the first place...!

It's all ok confusing!

Dh is downstairs wrapping presents - we're officially not talking to each other now. I very pettily told him that if he truly thinks I'm going to start liking mils fb posts just to please her, he can stay here spending Christmas with her with the one glass of Prosecco, rationed & I'll drive to Bristol alone 🙈

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/12/2018 23:12

That's really good to know, thanks Rachy. Surely it should be part of a standard gps test when you go in to confirm the pregnancy in that case?!

Rachyrach83 · 21/12/2018 23:22

I know!! I only found out through my frantic googling after my early scan!
Glad to share info xx

TinselBee · 22/12/2018 04:52

Betty we must be pretty close as I'm between Colchester and Ipswich hospitals, which since having DS, are now part of the same trust. I've always rated Colchester hospital but again the aftercare from the EPU was shit. But their post natal ward was amazing. Tbf was just a certain MW I had a shit experience with really where she gave me a sweep without my permission. Due to that I don't know if I could go back to Colchester.

TinselBee · 22/12/2018 04:53

Also, trying to not get excited... Just had what could be a pre-ov dip! Really hope I might be ovulating today/ tomorrow

TinselBee · 22/12/2018 05:36

BFN finally this morning, 13 days post surgery.

Really thought I'd be emotional seeing that 1 line but actually I just feel relieved

smerlin · 22/12/2018 07:15

That's good @TinselBee - helps to move on I thought.

I am in London. Gave birth at Kings before. Antenatal care great, labour and postnatal completely awful and consequently the first three months of my DD's life were a massive strain.

Frazzlerock · 22/12/2018 08:04

Good morning all,

This is gong to be another one of my epic posts so ignore or grab a Brew

Just having a catch up and firstly I wanna say thank you for your 'big ups' for creating this thread.
However! I am not taking the credit! You have all been utterly brilliant and, despite the c*nty circumstances, I am so pleased we have been able to stay in touch and guide/support/rant at eachother after we had to leave our lovely group. I remember saying on there, when I had my constant doubts, that I'd be sad to leave because you've all been so fab Star Then, we we all left one by one and I just had to get us all together as I knew we'd all want to and would need the support of other people who are at pretty much the same point in this shitty journey.

Anyway, you're all brilliant so big love and thanks to all of you.

@Buggles1 Re your Q about supplements, @Rose68 is your gal but I have learnt a little bit thanks to her and a bit of internet nosying.
This is what i am taking right now - you ready? Wink

Inositol & Folate - For PCOS - it helps with insulin issues and acts as a natural form of metformin. Therefore helps to regulate cycles
Bee Propolis - Helps with egg quality, it is something the queen bee produces
Vitamin D spray - info here
Vitamin C - Think it helps to trigger ovulation but is a nice little supplement anyway
Evening Primrose oil - helps with egg quality before ovulation, best to stop after ov from what I have read online. So I am back on it again after a few days of thinking I was ovulating (more on that later)
Ubinquinol - Egg quality more on that here
Methylfoltate - supposedly better than folic acid especially if you have the MTHFR gene, which I don't know if I have, but it can't hurt to take it. I do wonder if I might have it as I have had two normal pregnancies and then years later I have had 3 MCs. I will find out at my RMC appointment I think.

Right, What the hell @ratherbeshowjumping, what a dick your MIL is! She clearly needs a hobby, and not FB! I don't know what to say, it's just so petty and what shit timing for you too. I'm so sorry your DH is being a twat

@TinselBee it is so so hard being around new babies and women who are oozing pregnancy/new baby happiness. I'd have had murderous thoughts re your colleague I think!

@Rachyrach83 IF it is any consolation I am now on day 23 today and my Ovusense has removed my fertile window so it clearly got that wrong as predicted by @awakeatnight. I am hoping this is just our cycles getting back to normal - though I worry with PCOS that I will start getting my epic 100 days+ cycles back that I used to have before 3 years ago. I will go nuts. Any news on OPK today? I've ordered a load so will start testing when they arrive. I wouldn't have known about the HCG count if it weren't for you Rachy. I might request it next time

@BettySwoll0cks what a gorgeous tattoo! Do you have a tattooist in mind? Or have you not got that far yet? It is hard to find a good one. I have one that is awesome but probably a bit far for all of you. She is in Erith SE London. this is her instagram account with loads of pics
Re hospital differences, I totally agree. I had Emily at St.Georges in London and my care was quite frankly, shit!
I had Popsy at Tunbridge Wells and the difference was immeasurable. I told my friends the other night that I would give it 5 stars on Trip Advisor "Would MC again" - but that is my very dark sense of humour. They did give me odd looks, even though they know I'm sick in the head Wink
Woah Betty your care sounds like mine for your DS. My milk never came in and both my boys lost so much weight but I didn't get any help. No one seemed to care. They didn't have tongue tie though it was just my shit boobs. I cannot believe you had to go private to discover that. How scary! Sad

@TinselBee that is exciting! I am back to the pre ov drawing board as my fertile window disappeared, look at my poor sad bare chart... Sad

@frazzle I love a long post.... it gives me something to read while I’m BBT-ing lol!!
Talking of which temp back down a bit but as missed yesterday due to bloody dog not sure what’s going on.

Glad to help re hcg.... it seems when your insurance pay in USA it’s a standard test.... here in U.K. we have to push nhs for it!

I’m just taking : pregnacare pre conception
Coenzyme 10
Melatonin (but every other night)
I’m also putting a bit of weight on as was a little skinny so trying to keep over 9st now.

@tinsel glad it was a relief to you!
Did you have erpc?? Your levels dropped quicker than mine. Let me know when things start occurring!!

Felt really out of sorts yesterday. Got the step-sons back from their evil mothers today for Xmas so it’s full steam ahead with pretending everything’s ok.... painting on that happy smile in 3..2...2.5....2.25..... lol

smerlin · 22/12/2018 09:22

Sorry can't remember the answer to this but when is AF estimated to arrive after mc? Mine was without 'intervention' so do I count the first day of bleeding as CD1 or 1st day of BFN? As was bleeding for 12 days but still had BFP for that whole time.

Frazzlerock · 22/12/2018 10:18

Its so hard to tell @Rachyrach83 until after ovulation which is frustrating. I spent a good few days trying to work out if Ovusense had predicted correctly and made up all these ovulation symptoms in my head and then it disappeared 🙄
I guess you will need to wait and see over the next few days and keep jumping DH.

@smerlin I think we all count from first day of bleeding but I don't know if that's correct or not

OP posts:
Rachyrach83 · 22/12/2018 10:51

Right that’s it!
I’m not obsessing now till the new year! I’ll DTD as I fancy it, drink gin, eat pate and generally enjoy Christmas!! Hopefully I’ll get my bfp and a lovely newborn ready to do it all again next year!!
Xx

Rose68 · 22/12/2018 11:26

Morning Ladies, I seem to be so busy at the moment entertaining my boys and getting ready for Christmas. I am still here even if I’m not posting much.
@Tinsel, I’m so sorry for everything you have been through.
@Betty I hope the mm wasn’t too bad and you are recovering now.

I asked about hcg monitoring at the start of my pregnancy, but was firmly told no. The epu were lovely and I got my erpc the next day. They were lovely at the hospital too. @Frazzle, I could have written something similar re mc again to go back, they were so lovely.

I don’t have much news, AF has pretty much finished. I am trying to do femoral massage on myself, DH was doing it before but I can’t ask him to do it because that would be ‘too much pressure’. I’m counting down the days to ovulation, but I’m still eating bad things and having the occasional few drinks 😨

Rose68 · 22/12/2018 12:33

Someone said to me yesterday that boys don’t need their Mums when they are grown up, when they leave home they are gone. You can’t have the same relationship with a boy as you can with a girl. Do you guys think this is true? Tbh it has upset me a bit. 😥

TinselBee · 22/12/2018 13:27

Rose so not true. My DH is very close to his parents and his 32 year old brother still lives at home! My step-dad still sees his mum all the time too and really values her advice.

TinselBee · 22/12/2018 13:40

Oh Frazzle I think it did seem like it might disappear though basing it on your previous chart? Annoying though! Hope you get a nice clear fertile window soon.

Yeah Rachy I had the ERPC. HCG levels dropping depends on how much you had to start with, how quick your body realises what's happened (and if there is anything retained).

Smerlin AF can return anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks in average. It's why I'm back to charting so I am not caught short!

Buggles1 · 22/12/2018 14:02

That’s amazing. Thanks for all the info. I’ll have a dig around the links etc now. @frazzlerock you must be rattling!
@rose68 if my brother is anything to go by then I’d have to totally disagree with what they are telling you. Of two girls and one boy he was absolutely Mummy’s little boy and this extended far after he left home! I think it’s more to do with how you bring them up, boy or girl, and letting them know where their home will always be if and when they need it.
@BettySwoll0cks that tattoo is lovely.

I think for a first time mum to be there is a lack of support out there. The gp and EPU staff etc are so close to what they do that they forget you are clueless. Even simple things like where the hell you’re supposed to report to in the various hospitals etc isn’t readily forthcoming.
It’s all made so much harder by all the secracy around not telling anyone until 12 weeks as well. I feel like we have to suffer all the pain alone so we don’t hurt anyone else’s feelings. When selfishly I want everyone to know how upset and disfunctional I feel at the moment. Rather than having to put on the perfect Xmas and entertain everyone.
I guess I should stop moaning, suck it in and get on with wrapping presents... but I just can’t be arsed... oh boy.

Buggles1 · 22/12/2018 14:05

One more question... have any of you suffered with blurred vision at all? My right eye seems to have become very short sighted over the last few weeks and I’m not sure if it can be put down to pregnancy at all. I did a quick internet search and it said about fluid retention possibly being an issue so I’m hoping it’ll fix itself over the next couple of weeks.

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/12/2018 15:56

@Frazzlerock that's really shit. I've heard it can take an AF to kickstart ovulation, as rubbish as it sounds 😢

@smerlin I was told to count from first day of bleeding too. I had a natural mc so sounds the same as yours? I'm on cd 31 now with awful cramps but no af. Usually 24 days spot on. Where are you up to now?

Love your positivity @Rachyrach83 💪🏼

@Rose68 I don't think that's true at all. My cousin (20) is currently doing a year abroad studying in Lyon & FaceTimes his DM daily, they're really close. Dh & bil are also much closer to mil than Sil is. And on the contrary, my Dsis & my dm fight like cat & dog. It's just people & personalities I think x

Ladies have a read of this!!!!

smerlin · 23/12/2018 00:09

Wow that sounds incredible @Rachyrach83! I wonder how long the larger trial will take.

Rose68 · 23/12/2018 08:17

Thank you ladies, I wish some people would think before opening their big mouths.

@Buggles1 I am so sorry you find yourself here, but welcome to our lovely group and thank you for your words above. I didn’t have any problems with blurred vision.

@Rachyrach83 wow! Should we be getting this drug?

smerlin · 23/12/2018 08:25

I am CD32 according to 1st day of bleeding but not going to test- will try to sit on hands and not test unless I get any symptoms as my cycle length is variable at the best of times let alone after mc. Also not temping so have no idea when I ovulated although DTD on the days I thought were likely.
