Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

Interesting about that drug Rachy, shame it doesn't really explain how it helps but it does say that the women in the trial had perfectly formed healthy looking babies that just died. Well that's certainly not my case sadly, mine don't seem to develop properly in the first place 😭 God I wish there was a miracle pill though.

I hope everyone is managing to feel at least a bit Christmassy. I've done nearly all my prep, and my sister is coming tonight which is lovely. But I just realised I'm going to run out of the enormous great maxi sanitary towels I'm cheerfully piling through so I'm going to have to brave the shops again with DS this morning, aaaaaarrrrggggjhh!!

BettySwoll0cks · 23/12/2018 08:37

I'm also v excited about the tattoo idea! Keep thinking about it ha ha. Frazzle thanks for the link to the tattooist, she does some beautiful detail work. To be honest for a really good artist I would expect a long waiting list so I'd travel. And would also work on the design with the artist but I love the idea of those little birds flying away to freedom... and also the Bob Marley lyrics ... "every little thing is gonna be alright" 😘

Kinsters · 23/12/2018 08:43

Rachyrach83 that's so interesting. I wonder how it works to prevent miscarriage. The article talks about it helping with foetal lung development but it must do more than that.

TinselBee glad you got your BFN. Hopefully you'll get your BFP soon.

Buggles1 sorry you're here as well. It's shit and there seem to be loads of us from July 2019.

Rose68 100% not true! My DH is one of three boys and they all loved and needed their mum so much (she died last year). I think the relationship between mother / son and mother / daughter can be different as of course a son doesn't go through the same shared experiences that a daughter might (not first hand anyway) but that doesn't mean the relationship is any less special or loving. I always thought I wanted girls as I'd bought into the "a daughter is a daughter for life" myth but seeing my husbands very strong relationship with his mum totally changed my mind and I'd honestly be happy with either a boy or a girl.

Frazzle sorry your chart has gone a bit flat. It could be a good sign that your temperatures have stabilised a bit though, shows your hormones are getting back to normal? The two BFPs I've had were preceded by very flat temperatures. I know what you mean about the "would MC there again". The only positive for us of this experience is its lead to us finding a Dr we really like and trust.

Loving all the tattoo ideas!

I'm in Malaysia and pay for private health care (there is government but its a bit rubbish). Care really varies from Dr to Dr but we seem to have found someone we like who is UK educated and used to work in London. The hospital she works at isn't the fanciest but it's good enough, reminded me a bit of the NHS!

Rachyrach83 · 23/12/2018 09:34

It definitely sounds like something to speak to GP / consultant about for those who have suffered more than 1 loss.
This was my first so I know ill be told it’s ‘just bad luck’ this time but I’ll definitely keep it in mind!!

BettySwoll0cks · 23/12/2018 10:31

Well the doctor at the EPU told me the other day it's almost certainly just a factor of my age and there is nothing anyone can do, and I've had 3 losses! And that was without knowing anything at all about my circumstances (except that I'm an ancient 38 years of age). So that really does seem to be the prevailing attitude Angry

TinselBee · 23/12/2018 11:05

Good morning all.

Just a reminder that don't pop to Tescos on the Sunday before Xmas for just some milk! Was bloomin crazy in there. Plus I stupidly forgot my purse so had to use the Emergency Cash Withdrawal from my bank app. Then after that I filled up my car but forgot I didn't have my purse to pay!!!! So had to explain that I needed to withdraw cash back from the bank to pay! Was so fricking awkward.

Now I've got a killer headache that's got me contained to the couch. DH is being miserable, doesn't understand how bad my headaches are or my anxiety in situations like earlier.

Anyway. Positive news. Just got a +OPK!

Rachyrach83 · 23/12/2018 12:10

@tinsel that’s wonderful!! Get at it!

Mines still laughably negative.... good job really as DH being an arsehole with his mild cold and refusing to do anything and says I’m unreasonable for wanting to dtd while he is feeling ill.
I just don’t think men get that it’s not as simple as ‘we can just do it when I’m better!’ Xx

TinselBee · 23/12/2018 12:43

Ah why does the world end when they're ill ey Rachy ? DH is the same. Tbf, I get not wanting to DTD if you feel like total crap but you gotta at least ask them when it is such a science to catch the right time!

Rachyrach83 · 23/12/2018 12:48

@tinsel I wouldn’t mind if he was genuinely ill..... but he had the energy to go out to his friends house last night to watch the boxing and drink and roll in at 3am.... so my sympathy is pretty much lacking this morning!!
He’s just generally being a knob. It’s days like these I enjoy being able to go .... enjoy the day with your kids... I’m off out!! Lol

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 03:50

Hey ladies
Early early morning and the DH snoring which is OFF THE SCALE with his cold keeping me awake :(
Dtd last night and the ‘wipeage’ was blood tinged..... just been for a wee and had blood on wiping too..... I think AF is here!! CD24.... that’s really really early. Aren’t cycles generally longer after MC?? Only had bfn a week ago??

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 04:10

Sorry..... it’s Cd26, not 24

smerlin · 24/12/2018 07:14

I'm exactly the same @Rachyrach83 - pink on wiping this AM so think AF has arrived in time for Christmas. Hmm

Wasted a bloody pg test (BFN obvs) before realising as I thought, despite my good intentions, that I had better check I wasn't pg before embarking on the cheese, pâté and champagne tomorrow!

Oh well have a bottle of Laurent Perrier to cheer me up tomorrow Wine

ratherbeshowjumping · 24/12/2018 08:08

Morning everyone,

@smerlin @Rachyrach83 glad af has come for you, at least it's a sign that your body is back & ready to try again. Completely in limbo over here still, bfn's but no af. CD32, I'm going out of my mind 😫

@Rachyrach83 I hate it when they're like that. The first cycle we planned to try, DH had a 3 day hangover over peak ov days. When I explained it was too late after that he genuinely thought that ovulation was a myth & if you can only get pregnant 3 days of a "month", why are there so many people who get pregnant on a one night stand & why do people get the MAP 🤦🏽‍♀️🙈

@TinselBee so glad you got a +ive!!!! X

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 09:16

@rather I thought I would be pleased for AF, but I’m now just worried that it’s far too early!! CD26, and no way I ovulated between bfn and today!!
It’s deffo AF too.

@smerlin what day are you??

Is it bad that it’s such a short time from bfn to af???

Also - can I go back to using tampons this time???

smerlin · 24/12/2018 10:20

@Rachyrach83 think I am cd33 but could be less as start of mc bleeding was v light spotting. Probably slightly less if count from when bleeding got worse.

I would definitely go back to using tampons. It is only while your cervix is open you can't I think.

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 10:40

@smerlin
Thanks for that
I've decided today to use a pad just to monitor goings on!
It's very gloopy (sorry TMI!!)
I'm worried about it being CD26, but I guess in reality it's only 3 days early ... I think it's because I was expecting it to be late

I'm going to take some vit b6 to try and help regulate things as don't want to end up with short luteral phase

ratherbeshowjumping · 24/12/2018 11:45

That's rubbish if you didn't ovulate @rachy I genuinely have no idea.

Think tampons are ok. I don't think it's "too" short at all, lots of people have short cycles. Guess it's just your body regulating itself!

Frustrating though!

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 12:00

At least it gives the DH time to get over his manflu slight cold!
I have set up my clearblue monitor - it says to start testing on cd6 which will be Saturday. I’m hoping ovulation will be clearer from that.
I’m going to start temping from tomorrow (couldn’t this morn due to disturbed sleep and storming off to the sofa at 3am due to the walrus next to me! Lol)
I’m just feeling meh so made cakes with the littlest step-son and now smashing through them with a cuppa!

TinselBee · 24/12/2018 12:10

Rather that's what my DH thought too, he didn't believe for a while that there's only a short window! Sorry you're still in limbo btw!

Smerlin and Rachy I hope AF is easy on you over Xmas.

TinselBee · 24/12/2018 12:29

Took another OPK... still positive? Usually I get a stark negative following a positive. Guess it's just another sign if messed up cycle post MC.

Kinsters · 24/12/2018 13:55

My cycle is that short Rachy, normally 23 - 25 days. Means less waiting around although I do sometimes worry that my luteal phase is a bit short, didn't stop me getting pregnant though.

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 15:00

@kinsters
Thanks for sharing that it's reassuring.
I've heard vit b6 is good for regulating cycles so might have a try.
What day do you Ov on in a cycle of this length? X

Frazzlerock · 24/12/2018 16:06

Hey!
Sorry I need to catch up properly but I've done my first OPK and it was quite faint to begin with, then an hour or two later I've looked at it again and it is as dark as the control line. Is that because I've left it too long? Or is that an accurate reading?
It says to read within ten mins of testing but I didn't have time to hang about so only waited a minute then left it.

OP posts:
TinselBee · 24/12/2018 16:13

Frazzle can you do another one now? I'd take that strong line as a positive though as for me a positive never shows up in first 5 minutes but when I look within the time frame it will get darker but I don't find it changes. I usually keep them all together so I can compare over time!

Rachyrach83 · 24/12/2018 16:18

@frazzle I’d love to help but all of the opk I did laughed in my face!! 😂
Do another and get yourself an Xmas rainbow 🌈
