Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

Re CM - I never get any, not of the EW variety anyway. But have had 5 pregnancies so I wouldn't rely on that either, personally!

Frazzlerock · 20/12/2018 12:24

@rachy that is the perfect analogy!

OP posts:
TinselBee · 20/12/2018 12:25

That is true Frazzle! I guess I am the opposite though, always know when Ov is looking likely as I get so much every time haha. But Rachy I guess you won't know what your body does until you start tracking CM alongside BBT charting too.

So much charting!!! haha

Your house analogy is spot on too

Rachyrach83 · 20/12/2018 12:27

Ok im a bit cheerier now... i thought I’ll send my ‘moving house’ analogy to the DH to try and explain....
His response ...
‘FFS babe!! Now you want to move house too? Haven’t we got enough on our plates?? Look I know you hate the kitchen, so if that’s it we will sort it in the new year ok? Please don’t start looking at houses!! Promise me!!”

So... he didn’t exactly get the point.... but it seems I’m getting a new kitchen! 😂

ProseccoBee · 20/12/2018 12:50

@rachyrach love the house analogy! So true.

Also meant to say @kinsters loved the story of your hair! I have a hair on my arm that I call my wizard hair it’s really fair but much longer than the rest and my Dh thinks I’m weird because I can’t bring myself to cut it. So that story really cheered me up!

Frazzlerock · 20/12/2018 13:07

@Rachyrach83 awesome stealth kitchen persuading! Grin

Usually I get really annoyed when he doesn’t read my texts properly when he’s at work but I’ll let this one slide 😂

Rose68 · 20/12/2018 14:28

@Rachyrach83 you should be able to tell from your cm when you are getting close to ovulation. I think Tinsel is right in that this first cycle post mc might not even be a proper cycle. I was completely caught out by AF arriving, and although I had the ewcm my ovulation pains were all over the place, all very strange. For me AF always arrives 13-14 days after ov pains and this time it was much less. I would put down your opks, try to relax and have lots of sex, especially when ewcm starts.

@Tinsel, did you say it took a year to conceive this time? I’m not trying to be nosey but I just wondered how long it took you to conceive DS and if you had any mcs that time? xxx

Rose68 · 20/12/2018 14:55

There was a whole next page of messages that I missed.... wow! I wish I could persuade DH that easily into a new kitchen! We are also thinking about moving, but never really getting anywhere with it. I found it was stressing me out way too much while I was ttc, but we are meant to be putting our house on in the new year 😩 I think I’m far too obsessed with getting pregnant and Mumsnet to also be obsessed with rightmove. 😩😩

TinselBee · 20/12/2018 15:11

Rose DS was a happy accident conceived the one 1 night we didn't use contraception after a very romantic night whilst on holiday in Venice. Truly naive to how hard DC2 would be.

Getting excited as just had some watery CM! Eeek Ov on its way hopefuly

smerlin · 20/12/2018 15:32

@ProseccoBee we bought a rose bush in memory - just arrived and needs planting tho!

@ratherbeshowjumping was just cantering poles and horse completely failed to notice that instructor had made one into a mini jump, just a raised pole practically, and barrelled straight into it and stumbled badly. Falling off a cantering 17.2hh not much fun! Am worried about riding if pg now in case of another mc. Have been worrying abt everything I didn't do well enough e.g. forgetting to take Pregnacare or drinking coffee before knew was pg so now feel like I should wrap myself in cotton wool if get pg again.

ratherbeshowjumping · 20/12/2018 16:01

Feeling like I should buy a plant now too! It's such a lovely idea.

Love your house analogy @rachy - had to laugh at your DHs reply, I'm so sorry... bless him!!

Oh @smerlin that sounds really painful... are you able to just work on the flat or hacking? I know it's not much fun but better than no riding at all.

@TinselBee excited for you!!!

AF has still not arrived here. I'm so crampy, boobs are sore and keep running to check it's not here. Will give in and do a test tomorrow if still not come. I hate this limbo. I usually get AF within 2 days of cramps and this has been going on since Sunday now Angry
We're supposed to be going for pil anniversary dinner this - I think I made my feelings re MIL fairly clear on here yesterday Blush it's the last thing I fancy when feeling like this. Envying anyone who's planning on spending their eve in pjs watching Christmas films.

TinselBee · 20/12/2018 16:05

I don't care buy a plant... I end up killing them all and I feel like that would be another devastating blow. But I do have a bunch of things I'm gonna box up in a nice box, e.g. the Baby book, a baby grow, a soft toy, all things I had bought for this baby

Oh rather so annoying for you! Limbo is horrid and especially when you're feeling like crap with the cramps too. Hope something happens either way for you soon

Frazzlerock · 20/12/2018 16:32

What do you all do with your pregnancy notes? I've still got the ones from Emily and now I have Popsy ones too. I might start a collection hobby Wink

(sorry that is my dark sense of humour)

@Rose68 Rightmove is so much fun! I love it Grin

@TinselBee oooh Fx!!

I'm off to a friend;s house tonight for Filmnight. We are watching Bookclub which I've no idea if I've seen or not. I will probably fall asleep though. I am hopeless in the evenings. We all watched Muppets Christmas Carol last night at home and I was gone 10 minutes in

BettySwoll0cks · 20/12/2018 16:52

My pregnancy notes arrived in the post today Sad I won't keep them, I'll chuck them in the recycling I think.

Just got back from the hospital having had misoprostol administered. Now sitting and waiting. I wonder how long this will take? 🤔

BettySwoll0cks · 20/12/2018 16:54

Also, for the purposes of charting, does anyone know whether CD 1 is when you pass the pregnancy sac, with medical management?

ratherbeshowjumping · 20/12/2018 16:59

Aw Tinsel that's a really lovely idea. I have a few things that I was unsure what to do with - didn't know whether it would be weird to keep them for next time round (fx'd).

TinselBee · 20/12/2018 17:08

Frazzle I'm having to keep mine for the insurance but might actually shove them in the box too. Well I hope you have a nice movie night or a nice sleep there at least haha

Betty I think it is CD1 from bleeding, least that's what my miscarriage booklet from hospital states. Tbh I think this whole 1st cycle is just a mess and no one really knows what's happening. Seems everyone's experience is different. Good luck with passing everything Flowers

Rather everyone is telling me to just keep everything for the next baby but I just can't and besides, the Baby grow and other clothes are all summery and unless it takes another year to conceive they won't get used. So I shall be giving my friend whose DD is same as what mine was a lot of the clothes.

smerlin · 20/12/2018 19:36

Thinking of you this evening @BettySwoll0cks

BettySwoll0cks · 20/12/2018 20:13

Thanks smerlin. Stupidly I didn't discuss pain relief at the hospital- it's getting q painful now Sad

smerlin · 20/12/2018 23:39

Don't forget you can take both ibuprofen and paracetamol.

Hot water bottle?

Kinsters · 21/12/2018 01:54

I hope you're doing ok BettySwoll0cks do you have any codeine? Hopefully you can find a 24hr pharmacy if you need to.

My scan today was all clear and I feel very not pregnant (no tiredness or nausea).

TinselBee · 21/12/2018 06:27

Betty you can call the EPU up and ask for pain releif. I was tolkd to call them if I needed anything stronger and they'll prescribe it. Hope you slept okay

awakeatnight · 21/12/2018 07:35

Oh @Betty sorry to hear that. I hope you got some sleep or at least some relief. If you didn't get it sorted last night perhaps try call your GP as soon as they open. Mine has a call back service so a duty Dr can call you and prescribe what you need.

So sorry to hear of all the maternity notes dealing :( a kind EPU nurse this time suggested only going for booking in after my reassurance scan. I phoned at 5 weeks and they booked my reassurance for 10+5, booking in and 12 week the following week for me. Thank god - I couldn't have sat through the booking in chat without decent confidence of a happy outcome!

@TinselBee Do what feels right for you with the clothes but you'll find a winter baby spends a lot of time inside in warm rooms so don't write off summer stuff You like as unwearable. My December baby DD spent a lot of time in what we called a ' layered look'

@Frazzlerock Hope you enjoyed movie night!

@smerlin that's a lovely idea. I bought snow drops for the garden, just hoping they come out better than my autumn crocus i planted at the same time! I've wanted an apple tree for ages so might go for that. It would be to encourage what i think is an existing apple tree to bear fruit as there aren't any others in the vicinity. Not sure whether the double burden of keeping it alive and hoping for fruit is a bit much symbolism!

@Rachyrach83 Fab result on the kitchen! Please keep us posted on your ideas

@Frazzlerock I really dont think that second chart shows ovulation yet. Was the Mendes section your miscarriage or your first AF since? I don't have experience of charting after MC (yet) but I learned to take ov from a few days after CM or positive OPK and pub point it looking back on a rise in temp that stayed above my cover line (the average pre ovulation) for at least three days. Your Pre ov temp might be elevated by the MC but I think I'd be waiting for a climb at least over 36.5. Probs worth getting it on with your partner if you can, just in case!

Had everyone heard of SMEP? It tiring but takes some of the pressure off Ov timing spermmeetseggplan.com

Incoming Toddler invasion - need to go for now!

Rachyrach83 · 21/12/2018 07:55

Morning ladies!!
@betty I hope you feel a little better today. I have no experience with the medical management (never offered to me by nhs- don’t think I would have took it anyway!) but sending you lots of love.

I think it’s so lovely all the things you are doing to mark your lost little ones. I considered a small simple line tattoo of a heart within a heart to represent me always carrying my little one in my heart. - I will definitely kill a plant!!

Now I’ve read about the SMEG plan ... but here’s the Q.... I keep finding contradicting info.... is doing it everyday a bad thing?? I can’t help but think for someone who is in their 30’s like me that 48 hrs is a big chance of missing the egg?? But is the sperm quality reduced TOO much doing it everyday??

Pounced on the DH last night. Man flu had to wait!! Lol!
Kitchen is off the table - he read my text to one of his female colleagues saying he couldn’t believe I wanted to move house and she laughed at him and explained! Dammit woman!! 😂😂

I missed temping this morning as shot out of bed with the dog barking to go to the toilet!
